- As someone who really likes slow speed tech trails, Bookwus is definitely a hidden gem on the shore. It has a few super precise and janky moves...and it always happens to be wet. Like always. So I figured instead of blasting down this trail with end of summer hero dirt, I'd rather film this one the way it exists for the majority of the year (especially since the wet season has arrived). Slippery, scary, awesome. Enjoy!

I’ve only done this trail once with perfect conditions, it was definitely one of the hardest trails I done, rode it well, but probably got lucky or on my a game cause I am afraid to even try a second time in the dry lol. Props man... that’s serious skill

I had a similar crash yesterday, 1 meter before where you did, in a dry day. This trail requires so much brake control and precise lines.
It's still a tough section even in the driest dry!
Bookwus in the wet is brave. That trail is a great time in the dry, but it's jankier and harder than most of the other double blacks I've ridden around the lower mainland. In the wet, it's that much worse.
I remember riding this trail when it was still a black on trailforks. Havent been back in a while and would defs like to try again, but I Still think i prefer 7th secret :)

I rode this trail back in 2018 and it was completely dry! Props to you guys for riding it in the wet.......!! Someone has done a great job fixing up the trail.

That line looks like it would be insanely gnarly with tacky hero dirt. While it’s sloppy and wet it just looks mental! Super impressive clip just as always man.

Wet roots on bike tires are the most slippery substance known to man.
I had a bad crash yesterday. Wet Roots 1, Me 0. Lower Thornstar. Twisted my handlebars.
No good, but sounds like you got away fairly well off!

Couple of cleaned up gravel sections but largely unchanged difficulty-wise.

Great vid, try riding those wet conditions here in Connecticut and the tree hugger crowd will tar and feature you, for making ruts and destroying the trails.
