So considering that, wouldn't you be led to think the mechanics/engineers find no controversy in them and in fact want all teams to have accurate sensing equipment? Something that universally accepted enough to be spoken about must improve the racing or safety in some way when everyone is on board.
Ryan McIntyre I was watching a new braking technology from KTM (and brembo) with lot of sensors that help you out in emergency braking under cornering. My opinion is that part of the beauty of riding motorcycle is knowing that it is dangerous. Also part of the beauty of motorcycling is doing the maintenance of your bike, with this amount of technology it will be harder to do so. I don't know but for me, this is taking the things I love in motorcycling. It is just a new era, of course new generation will never know how it was without sensors.
Yes !! I loved to hear that, "after you lost one of the sensors, you let the bike go out of envelop, and it crashed." SO the control system design was very bad, it was not designed to handle failure of any sensors, or unavailability of raw data coming from it. I'm from Aerospace industry, and believe me, If I have designed the control logic that way, I would have been fired away right that moment. Since Safety is Paramount in airborne systems. SO, you guys have made the sensor design more robust (mechanically) But I'm sure you wouldn't have changed your control system design, which reads the values from sensors in same way. There is no redundancy !! to replicate the faulty sensor (or data) with a healthier one...!!
@@bosu1855 I meant only the english articulation, not the technical know how. When it comes to technical knowledge, both Japanese and European professionals excel in what they are doing.
Remember when Honda got upset by Rossi, twice in a row, then for no reason they switched engines and the bikes got smaller? Honda, do you remember that? Dani, smaller bike, electronics out the ass. That was Honda! Blame them for the current state of this series. The only thing that keeps me watching is the riders. Not the teams or pundits.
All the "Electronic-equipment" is 'sorta O.K.' But, when it "goes out". You have to "re-program it". Instead of the "old-days", when you just got out the "TOOLS" @ WORKED on the BIKE!
You should focus on the acceleration of the bike.. Honda is poor in acceleration than ducati and yamaha.. I am a Marc fan... He is a fantastic rider but due to poor acceleration of honda he struggles to beat yamaha and ducati
so i see.. for now Day, racer cannot ride without traction control...when honda Will develop the remote control for motogp rider for their bike..? cannot wait..motogp are getting "fun"
Technology on MOTOGP bike is mind blowing...
That guy is cool af, bringing the Mullet back.
That guy has one very cool job!!!
King of MotoGP
The power of dreams 🇯🇵
Incredibly candid answers, considering he is a Honda engineer

Ryan McIntyre sensors are common, nowadays any street bike have dozens of sensors, the software that uses the sensor information is what is a secret
Love it... I learn so many things
61 degree lean angle....holy shit.
You know you feel like a bad ass on your street bike leaning at 35 degrees lol
It's seems like Honda always keeps backup things asap. if any disaster happens to a rider....Honda is Honda 🥰😍😘

+myro No, the 2stroke's where way more fun.
Ja jeweet great, nice to know. but i'll go even further back, those 80 cc 5hp bikes from the 50's were even more fun, those were the days!!!
myro Well if that's you opinion, that's cool.. So don't call somebody else's opinion romantic nostalgic shit.
Fabio Kufa i prefer old streetbikes
Probably he stands the closest to Europeans out of the Japanese guys I’ve ever heard speaking. I also would swap his job with mine by the way! :)
japanese have been beating europeans on technology for more than a decade now🙄
