Looks great but hoping Ducati will add a 1200cc version of this new engine! A 1200cc V2 or SuperSport S would be the ultimate gentleman's sport bike for the road!
Ducati is no longer differentiated from the market. They will have to battle it out in price among the others. Brand momentum never goes as far as the accountant executives hope.
the new V2 is a market shift as it's cheaper and more competitive in the Supersport category. The V4 has always been expensive and is the pinnacle no question. The paint is thicker, the parts are nicer and the rear shock is designed for quick changes. It's exotic. If you're one of the single sided die hards I really wish you're club would look at the bike in person before staking that claim.
What is people complaining about? Its kind of a modern 916. Its gorgeous! I bet it is absolute amazing to drive. Probably smokes the old V2 in hands of 90 % of the users.

Earlier they had to limit their RPM but i think now they have tailored the bike to fir in the category without any cap on the RPM in WSSP racing. Thats what i am assuming. Correct me if im wrong.
It's available in a A2/35Kw variant which means the engine must be capped around 100 hp. It's why most of the new generation sport(tour) bikes are around this mark.
@jarrodwilson7702 doesn't have more torque and makes that torque around the same rpm, same eith hp, I agree with op but this is def not a middle range power maker. However ducatis in general have good torque
..cheers. So did i. Single Swingarm, 153horses, Ducati Desmo, and the Sound of Euro5 without „plus“. Can‘t find that anywhere here. Oh wait, they now have cruise control 🤣
So this new Panigale V2 is almost similar in power (at least) to the Supersport and the Streetfighter is close to Monster. So what is the reason to buy the Supersport and Monster now? Price??
Looks better than the v4 2025 and v2 2024 version. Especially the exhaust i love the underseat pipe. Im looking forward to the sound of the pipes! Good thing i didnt buy the v2 2024 yet! 😆

(- de 190kg)* (*avec échappement Termignoni) On est loin des 120cv et 176kg à sec. Et puis la ligne…rien à voir. J’espère que Ducati reverra sa copie avec une vraie petite Panigale dans le future 😭
I'm on my sixth Ducati - the current StreetFighter V2 (had the V2 Panigale before that) - & whilst objectively these new bikes are actually great, it's feels wrong to put a Monster / Multistrada / Supersport engine in a Panigale. It's now basically a Supersport (which I also had) with clip-ons. 120 hp is plenty for the road - I don't use the 155 of my StreetFighter - but the Panigale needs to be a bit special. It needs to be differentiated. But these bikes will sell, because on their own they are going to be great bikes. But I won't buy one. I'd just buy a Monster or Multi V2 when they inevitably put this engine in them.
The streetfigther v2 will probably be great now. The current (2024) version was not fun to ride at all, especially in the low rev range, it wasn't best suited on the road or the track. Now with the reduction in horsepower and tuned for mid weight this will be great. Should be a good seller :)
Not at that price when the Triumph street triple RS exists. Nothing on this new bike makes it a better buy than the Triumph or even the MT09SP for the money.
@ In Australia the price difference is negligible. What makes the street triple or 09sp better? If you’re talking about usable torque, this bike has 70% of its available torque delivered at 3000 rpm’s. That’s just, if not more torquey than the 09. If you’re talking about build quality and feel, I’d say it’s the same compared to the street triple.I’ve got a Daytona 675r and think it’s a great bike, not saying the bikes you mentioned aren’t great, but I think it finally properly competes against them for sure. Particularly for those that want something besides a triple motor. It’s like comparing the new v4 with the r1/r1m.
The problem is not less power or small engine, in fact before it was like that (748,749,848), the problem is the lack of character and personalityon the new models. New ducatis are not special bikes anymore and thats so sad 😢
got a feeling that theyll release a V2R in the near future since it looks like theyre trying to follow a similar naming scheme they had with the previous panigale v4 generation. They are basically treating this as the supersport replacement with how they mentioned that they have rearranged the foot pegs to be more street friendly. So im guessing that the V2R (if they make one) will be the real panigale v2 successor with close or similar horsepower to the previous generation
The exhaust pipe is a Spaghetti gone wild. Together with the mufflers it completely messes up the space between the rear seat and the rear wheel. It should always be kept clear in order to bring the weight of the engine visually to the front. The same design flaw as the hypermotard.
Was hoping for at least 135bhp for the new V2 so I could replace my Multi 950s. I am just able to keep up with my friends which all ride the KTM 1290SAS (2021 model). Next year they will have the 2025 model with 173bhp. Our group rides like the clappers, so yes I need more bhp's if they get more. Last September my desmo belt was smelling like something was on fire after our B-road ride in Luxembourg. We smoke up a set of sport touring tyres every 3200km with a set of new brake pads. So no new Multi V2 for me with only 115bhp and less torgue, either an 2020 Multi 1260 PP or will have to switch to KTM as well, which I do not want to, but Ducati is making it more and more difficult. I don't like the Multi V4 (riden it) and it's way too expensive, Euro 32k for a standard V4S...........pfffff, these are only sold as a 'BTW motor' i.e. you do not have to pay the VAT as you buying it within your Ltd./BV, petrol consumption is also off the charts, even with the 2025 model it's still pretty poor. So I do not like the direction Audi is steering Ducati to.
I actually like this.. Ducati never wanted to compete directly now they are, and it's much easier to justify a purchase of a ducati because it's uusally more expensive in its class, yet the same price as the class above. Now it will still be more expensive, but atleast you're not gonna be thinking, I could have bought a tuono v4 instead of a street fighter v2
Guys, I'm 959 owner. It's 160 hp and much less than 176kg. You made a typo in a new v2 description. You said 'the lightest'. But it must be 'the slowest'. Please fix and reupload the video.
Ex 959 owner here.... it definitely wont be as quick in a straight line. Bet it's quicker on road though... like a Hypermotard is quicker than most things on twisty backroads. The more relaxed ergo's and new suspension will make it much quicker for most. On UK roads at least.
@@richardbrooks4549 hm, specs says stock 959 has equal weight to a new v2. I checked docs for my model (there are differences between Japanese,Europe and US versions). p.s. Specs can be wrong. I didn't weight my motorcycle personally. But I additionally installed some Ducati performance tuning and exhaust from Termignoni. It means I reduced weight and my bike is lighter.
@ Your bike is not lighter and US, EU, Japanese specs are marginally different with no impact on weight. Specs do not say stock 959 is equal in weight to the new V2. The figures you are looking at are dry weight for 959. Comparing both bikes wet, with no fuel the 959 stock is 10kg heavier. You have not saved over 10kg with “Ducati tuning and Termignonis”!!!! Apart from that, thanks for another great post
You all don t understand that this is the supersport replacement... Now it has 10hp more, almost 2000rpm more, same torque, 29kg lighter. It is a great evolution and a great bike.
Ne connaissant pas les motos ducati, et vu les équipements qu'elle propose, et la beauté de cette machine, je vais me laisser tenter. Cella sera ma 1ère je pense.
We have only the V2 left, from the original essence of a real Ducati. Same thing that happened with that bike that has been named Monster. This is a fight against brands and not a way to talk to the customer with new products. The brand is taking a truly disappointing way for me. Nice bike in any way. I mean, the style. I can officially say that the masterpieces 916 and Monster, became only a marketing argument to try to introduce something that will certainly work great, but it doesn’t take my breath away as a customer of the brand since the early ‘90. I’ve never considered even to look what the competitors are offering on the market because of my faith for the brand. I’m really losing this feeling and starting to look forward to make probably other choices in the future, when it will be the time for a new bike. To be sincere, looking this bike for the first time I had the same reaction that I felt inside of me when I saw the actual Monster for the first time. Same for the new Streetfighter. I don’t know which is the customer that Ducati is looking for, or the market where they wants to sell their new models…so…. I wish all the best to Ducati. Cheers.
The overall design is great. But the muffler under the seat is really wrong. It doesn't fit the overall design well and looks completely separate. It doesn't integrate with the seat design like Honda's CBR600RR or MV-Agusta's F4. I really wish Akrapovic would make an under muffler.
Na bin ich froh das ich mir noch vor 2 Monaten die SFV2 geholt habe! Die neue gefällt mir absolut nicht da würde ich dann wsl auf die V4 umsteigen. Wieso macht man so einen Rückschritt?
Good for you, I love my 23' street triple rs 😁 but it seems like the new Ducati is better, except price, and weight. Street Triple r: 765 cc 120 hp at 11,500 rpm 80 nm at 9,500 rpm Ducati: 890 cc 120 hp at 10,750 rpm 93,3 nm at 8,250 rpm But that's just numbers, lets see which one is the better choice 😊
@@allangrse617 I would not say better, the V2 also lost his desmodromic valves so the engine is cheaper made aswell. I got a new 1290 SDR evo this year for about the same price as the v2, weights about the same as the v2, has 60hp more power and got a nice trellis frame (which Ducati says weights too much...?) .
@G1lgamesj Well Desmo valves really dont have any use on this bike, I dont know the price difference between Desmo and the new valve system, but I know it can go longer before it needs valve adjustment, which is a plus 😁 Well you are comparing KTM's flagship with Ducati's "baby" streetfighter, and no the KTM is def much heavier than the new streetfighter, even the old one was lighter. Yes the trellis frame is a heavier solution, just look how much the monster lost.
@@allangrse617 Desmo is much more expensive as it needs hydraulic tappets for It's valves. So It's definitely a cheaper engine. Maybe, but I paid the same price for a new one so you can compare them as they are in the same price class. I don't know where you got the information a trellis frame is much heavier. When you compare the weight of both on paper It's only a 11kg difference. So no the trellis frame is not heavier, and you have to take into consideration the SDR is a 1300cc and the SF V2 a 900cc. The dry weight of the SF V2 = 178kg and for the 1290 SDR = 189kg

They had to bring the engine to 160hp. How will it position itself compared to the Monster sp? 120hp Vs 111hp same price, almost same performance, it's not logical.
NO DESMO, no Onesided Swingarm, less power than an ages 848, even 36 less than the last 959. Sorry, I never wanted to say that, but I hope you fail. This is no Ducati anymore....
I mean if you want an old ducati they are always available second hand. We can just hope this ducati gets an “R” model that boosts its HP. Maybe there are changes in WorldSSP that ducati had to adapt to thats why they had to do this.
Bmw must have affected ducati's sale at least this 2024,i have seen more youtubers riding s1k than panigales, if you watch some motovkogers going to group ride or motorcycle meet ups you would see alot of s1000rr aside from japanese bikes, and just a couple of ducatis
Love Italian bikes (i am italian) but a 15yo gsx r 750 probably is faster (128 hp at rear wheel stock ) and you can find it at 4000 euros in good conditions. Add 1500 euros on suspension, brakes, tc and you have a beautiful, light, reliable bike to have fun on road and a beast on track...
Looks great, in many respects I like to look more than the new Panigale V4 however as an older and heavier ride of the last Panigae V2 I am pretty sure I will be dissapointed bu the lack of power. 35 BHP is a big drop and sadly I now have a choice between another 955 Panigale V2 or another manufactureres bike. Sadly when your not a young fit lightweight racer the power to weight arguement doesnt really work so well when you add my weight to the bike and I know I would miss the exhilaration of the 155BHP.
They already know, that's one of the reasons they build this bike, and it seems like its beating the street triple in every aspect, except price, and weight.
@@reddpill Yes for road use it seems to be the better choice. If you insist.... Street Triple r/rs 120/130 hp at 11.500/12.000 rpm 80 nm torque at 9.500. Ducati 120 hp at 10.250 rpm 93.3 nm torque at 8.250 rpm, so the Ducati got more power everywhere until 10.250 rpm. So tell me which one is more suitable for the road? 😉
@reddpill I own a 23' street triple rs, and its a super fun bike, but it doesnt have a lot of pull down below, you'll have to keep up in the higher rpm range to unlock its potential, and the theres the vibrations, You can easily use it on the road, but there is better options. Hah! By that logic I would say the MT09... I rather pay ekstra for the Ducati, you'll get more bike after all. And at least its a lot cheaper than the old streetfighter

suddenly with my Street Triple R, 120hp and 80nm of torque, I feel rich😂😂
Same here, I paid less than the price of the SF V2 this year and I got more bike =D
Good for you, I love my 23' street triple rs 😁 but it seems like the new Ducati is better, except price, and weight.
Street Triple r:
765 cc
120 hp at 11,500 rpm
80 nm at 9,500 rpm
Ducati:
890 cc
120 hp at 10,750 rpm
93,3 nm at 8,250 rpm
But that's just numbers, lets see which one is the better choice 😊
The dry weight of the SF V2 = 178kg and for the 1290 SDR = 189kg
would love to see this engine in a new Multistrada V2
i wonder if the streetfighter will be able to equip aftermarket winglets?
Ducati plz don't Change Upcoming V4R Design 😢
With a full exhaust and a tune, it will get 135-140 hp
Ma quanto ti costa aumentare i cv
@@massimilianobenvenuti5117exhaust 3300 US dollars, race ecu tune 1000 US Dollars but it is very light. Will be very fast
❤️🇮🇹💪
Now the question is, will it compete against my MT09 SP and do better? Because if it does, I may just trade my 24 MT09 for a Streetfighter V2
More riding and less servicing, 15k/24 months is amazing!
Ducati giapponese !
Yeah, if It was not for the desmo V2 below. It would be an Italian branded Honda CB 1000 Hornet 😂
Dreaming motorcycle
Pecco ❤
Yes
Μπράβο μου αρέσουν και οι δύο μοτοσυκλέτες όπως επίσης και όλη δομή τους όπου έχει γίνει τρομερή δουλειά από την Ducati!
I love Ducati panigale 🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️
Abbiamo ascoltato i nostri clienti … senza desmo….
They had to bring the engine to 160hp. How will it position itself compared to the Monster sp? 120hp Vs 111hp same price, almost same performance, it's not logical.
Tricolor or speciale? We about to find out! LFG!!!!
NO DESMO, no Onesided Swingarm, less power than an ages 848, even 36 less than the last 959. Sorry, I never wanted to say that, but I hope you fail. This is no Ducati anymore....
blame euro regulations for this.
@@dewejie No, I don't. Thats BS. The New V4 has Euro 5+ and the same 216 HP as before and the swingarm is a shame regardless of any Tech Specs.
I mean if you want an old ducati they are always available second hand. We can just hope this ducati gets an “R” model that boosts its HP. Maybe there are changes in WorldSSP that ducati had to adapt to thats why they had to do this.
no need to be stuck in time
Bin absolut deiner Meinung, das ist keine Ducati das ist ein scheiß Haus!
Meh...I'll pass. Sticking with my V2 Bayliss.
You were never going to buy one. You're just using this comment as an opportunity to flex your Bayliss. Settle down.
@RUugly didn't mean to make you envious. You know nothing about me, stay in your lane clown.
@RUugly didn't mean to cause envy, but don't act like you know me.
@@SladeRenegade envy? Please. That comment alone just proves my point.
You could have stopped at "Meh... I'll pass."
@@RUugly It's ok, no one cares, just you.

In Wet Mode what is the HP?
Bmw must have affected ducati's sale at least this 2024,i have seen more youtubers riding s1k than panigales, if you watch some motovkogers going to group ride or motorcycle meet ups you would see alot of s1000rr aside from japanese bikes, and just a couple of ducatis
so u killed the monster now.... RIP
@@ianwarren8316 Then buy the V4 if you want more power.
@@keyjones1678 don’t want more power but don’t want 35 ho less either!
Will probably buy the newest old V2 in Spring!
BMW is king Wsbk 2024,🎉🎉🎉
This is not a Ducati. this is a Japanese motorbike
El escape doble es precioso
Someone needs to tell Ducati's executive team that the Triumph Street Triple RS exists. Good luck in the market at that price. 😆
They already know, that's one of the reasons they build this bike, and it seems like its beating the street triple in every aspect, except price, and weight.
@@allangrse617 Every aspect? That's a reach, and you even left out the HP figures of the Triumph. 😆
@@allangrse617 Both, now which would be more suitable for your wallet?
@reddpill I own a 23' street triple rs, and its a super fun bike, but it doesnt have a lot of pull down below, you'll have to keep up in the higher rpm range to unlock its potential, and the theres the vibrations, You can easily use it on the road, but there is better options. Hah! By that logic I would say the MT09... I rather pay ekstra for the Ducati, you'll get more bike after all. And at least its a lot cheaper than the old streetfighter
Adventure and superbike
I like it mainly that mufflers and weight. Still I think older was nicer but design is subjective.
Dovevate lasciare un motore v2 da 165cv, perché già era in produzione quello da 110cv montato su monster, hyper, multistrada v2 ecc. non ha senza lo fare un altro motore che si affianchi a quest’ultimo .
So, the Monster will be no more? Thag would be a shame.
price? panigale v2
Provatela al Mugello contro la vecchia V2
Ape hangar bars, cruise control, no desmo and only 120ps! It All makes Sense Except it Still says Ducati on the tank!🙈
Looks like a nice bike, but more of a supersport replacement, rather than a proper Panigale.
120PS 🤣
