As an Italian, I am glad to see Ducati operating outside a comfort zone built in these last 10 years. Probably the change in VW management had a role in a new courage in doing so.

I want to know if their upcoming dirtbike(s) will have desmo valves or not! I feel like they built this single cylinder motor and some Italian dude was like, "You know, we could make this into a 450".
Me too! I have been a massive KTM fan for years, having owned a 690 Duke, 950SM, 990 Adventure R and for the last 6 years a fully modded 990 Superduke. But I'm tired of the 690 now, seeing it in both KTMs, Husqvarna and Gasgas. And its getting old. If the weight is low and the price is right, Ducati has a killer bike I would probably buy new.
Enduro version would be great.
@@chrisalexandersb1748 It has curb weight of 151 kg and the price in swiss is 13.000CHF. A 690 smcr has a curb weight of 147kg and cost around 12.000CHF.
Prices may vary around the world but this should be a good indication for your market.
ktm is chinese/indian junk, Ducati is a jewel, no comparison ....

with this engine imho you cant really make the bike significantly lighter than it already is... the power/weight is great already ...

16:27 The electronics/ abs slide by break are unlike no other to the point where the bike almost rides for you which will be game changing for new riders who want to drift corners. Id bet whatever the cost of this supermoto will be worth it for these electronics alone. This made makes me want this SM over any other.

Ducati the only brand having a Hooligan style bike. The brand stands out pretty well. Ducati has the best rear Tail light Drls design which is very very important like a jewellery on a bike. Good one Ducati
What about the Triumph Street Triple R and the KTM Duke R? Both hooligan bikes in my opinion.
Would really love to see this engine modified into a cafe racer. The 803 does a great job for power, but this would be closer in size for those looking for an even smaller bike to put around on.

Single cylinders aren’t exactly great for speed, and panigales are about speed
@@OneShotKill3r If they kept the weight down in the 330# range it would be a weapon on tight roads. And you could cane the thing all day, feeling like you were really pushing it. That is impossible on the current literbike.
@@OneShotKill3r for road use, a Mono would be great (and historically correct). I love my Panigale V4 but it’s a bit silly for a sunday rideout… also Mono could also be a great A2 sportsbike for beginners.

151 kg less fuel - is this the new electrical version or works the ICE somehow magic less any fuel? SCNR. Filled with fuel we are at 160kg which is not bad but already available in SMCR/Husky/GasGas. But the Duc is definitely more beautiful, design is an italian attitude :)

The rim design looks like the old 2015 KTM 390s. The entire exploded view of the engine would be very hard to differentiate from a KTM 390 if not for those valve and clutch covers. In short, this looks like 390 with serious steroids. Though the KTM 650 is a great bike with still getting the upper hand on torque, it's good to see the competition warm up with big thumpers. Good job Ducati.

KTM, Suzuki. The Abs Slide by breaking system does all the work for you when drifting into corners. The electronics in the bike are unlike no other to the point where the bike almost rides for you.
For those who need lighter variants to the heavyweight supermoto , this is for fun ride with no compromise

This model canibalize her sister hyper 900cc and the x desert... ducati annunce a intro to Motocroos and all of us wait for a low price model on 300cc with that excellent quadro mono, but the high price makes the market go to KTM or other brands 🤷♂ (sorry for my english, my native lenguage is Spanish)

i hope a whole range of styles is introduced with this single. a single cylinder panigale anyone? a single pot monster? or a multi?. although ktm used to make the 690 single which was more powerful
KTM is still making the 690.
And it has 5hp less than the ducati

And the KTM makes 54 ft pounds of torque vs the 46 ft pounds of the Ducati, and it weighs less too.
