I have the Anycubic Photon S and I've been making parts now for about 4 months, I designed my own on Solidworks. Worth every penny.
You're right, I don't give a shit, next time pick someone else to put this shit on.
I have this printer and it has worked flawlessly since I got it. I open the box set it up and started printing with it. First 3 D printer I have ever played with and it has been an incredible modelling experience.
The Anycubic resin hardly smells, but it is a little brittle for functioning parts. Good for miniatures and static parts though.
All these budget printers are about the same quality. Whether it’s a 2 k or 4 K mono screen the pixel resolution is about the same. Bigger build plates need higher resolution screens. If they didn’t they would in fact have poorer resolution. Printing at a layer of .01 with this printer will do an extremely delicate model.
This printer will print a 1/32 scale car body which is what I primarily model. If I build directly on the plate it can print a 1/32 scale car in under 2 hours.
Very nice work! All your videos are excellent !Greetings from Greece!
Amigo muy buen contenido de este video, muy interesante y util esta impresora Anycubic Photon Mono Resin 3D, excelentes resultados obtenidos en la elaboracion de los productos realizados con esta maquina, mis respetos y saludos desde Venezuela.👊👍
Nice Video! I am currently designing some Porsche wheels in 1/24 scale, Tamiya haven't included in their 911 gt2 club sport road version the correct Speedline wheels, they just used the normal BBS from their racing kit, and I couldn't find one decent after market for that wheel anywhere. 3D printing is a fantastic new tool to us. Quick tip: You can go down to layer height to 0,01 mm and those step lines will virtually disappear under naked eye.
Super, i want to try it
On my works 👌
Good job!
Super video👷👍
3D printer is it small an easy to use oh i see sixe now do you need to be tec savy to use or is it like type in size measurements an thats it. Love ur wheel with the barrel an used aoshima vinyl tyres awsome deep fish barrells id be doing next if i was hm knowing what to do
Scalemodelling Channel would you have any other links to model car part files please?
Thank you
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family
Keep up the good work......AWESOME TH-cam Channel
Hey ScaleModellingChannel, if you are interested in printing more of these in the future; I would highly recommend adding in the option “Anti-Aliasing” when slicing, it near eliminates any stepping for me when printing 1/24 and 1:43 Wheels, Body Parts etc - I had to update my firmware on my Photon to do so - but thinking the Mono may have it already? Just have to enable it when slicing!
Happy printing.
Ross
Anti Aliasing does not work on the photon mono. While advertised with AA
If you going print in 0.01 layers you want to change normal exposure time to somewhere below 1s. That thin layer doesn't need to be exposed as much as 0.05
Thanks. I printed it at 0.01 now aswell succesfully with 2 sec exposure. Will try it with a shorter exposure aswell
@@TheScalemodelingChannelthat's interesting on the same resin I print at 0.9s and 0.02. It might be worth to print resin validation matrix with your current settings 👌 You might get even better results and cut the print time a little bit :)
There are some kinds of solutions you could get to smooth out the surface of 3D printed parts
not for resin as far as I know. The rims should be printed at an angle instead, it would get rid of most of the layer lines.
Yes there is Anti Aliasing which this printer should support, but it doesn't.
Help! What settings can I use to print rubber tires on anycubic??
Contact your resin supplier 😊
I’m totally new to these printers. If you have a file, any file can it be scaled up or down? For example a file that is at 1:12 scale, can it be scaled up to say 1/4 scale?
Stay safe. 🍻🌲
You can scale it to what you want
@@TheScalemodelingChannel What to glue the taillights and headlights on so that there are no streaks?
@The Scalemodeling Channel
what 3D Modeling Software would you Recommend to use for Anycubic Photon Mono X for Beginners?
Tinkercad or sketchup
@@TheScalemodelingChannel I'm glad you actually responded, I don't internet in my house for me to use Tinkercad sadly, and im willing to try any recommended Modeling Software's that's compatible for my Anycubic Photon Mono X, i recently downloaded "Blender 2.93.102.0" on the Microsoft Store,
the only this is, i dont even know if its compatible with my Resin Printer, i Cant find a Direct Answer
whether if Blender works for Anycubic Products, even with Research, theres no clear Answer .
at least where im looking at.
im a Newbie when it comes to 3D Printing , would Blender be Compatible with the Anycubic Photon X?
Reguardless i just want a Personal Opinion coming from someone who has Experience.
@@mikemouchiha1504 if you want to design 3d models. you need a 3d modeling software like Tinkercad, Sketchup, Fusion 360 etc etc.
This has nothing to do yet with your printer.
To make the files usable for your printer you need a program that is called a "Slicer"
Lyche and or Chitubox are slicers compatible with anycubic printers.
Maybe do a bit more research on 3d printing ;)
@3dprintingnerd
@unclejesse
@@TheScalemodelingChannel totally understand man, I know Slicers and Modeling Software are Separate Agenda. I hadn't tried Sketch up, and Especially Fusion 360, only because i hear Fusion 360 isn't very much of a User Friendly ordeal, TinkerCad was my first Option. But I can't use TinkerCad only because my household doesn't have internet, plus I'm very limited to Storage on my Computer.
I actually recently Downloaded
Blender to make Sculpture
Designs and I also got Lychee as a Slicer
Would Blender and Lychee be a
Good Combination as Softwares
for my Anycubic Photon Mono X?
question... is there a specific reason why you did not print barrels and fronts in one go (instead of 2 separate parts) ?
Thats just the way the files came. And it also makes it easier to paint
I understand that magic milk stuff costs a whole lot.
Question: can you reuse the excess?
Yes you can
@@TheScalemodelingChannel thanks a bunch. Of course I found my answer after 20 or vids immediately after this one.
So did you print 1 wheel at a time or all 4 at a time?
All 4 at once
@@TheScalemodelingChannel looks like a good little printer and thank you for the reply.
Anti Aliasing does not work on these photon mono's (they're advertised with AA).
You can download the latest firmware from Anycubic which supports AA
@@321357w The point was, that they were for sale for 6 months without AA. I'm aware of the update. Thanks.
How can I scale down from 1/25 part to 1/64 diecast
Change the size in the slicer
I also have a resin printer....yet to be used. Does anyone here know how to create wheels on a cad program to be 3d printed? I'm wanting to build wheels and tires for a1/12 scale camaro pro mod. Seems like anyone that knows anything about this stuff keeps it very secret and I'm not sure where to start.
Hey there. You have to find a suitable model for yourself (mostly stl,3ds and obj file formats suitable for printing)and with a 3d modeling program (or sometimes printers own slicer can do that too) scale the 3d models to your desired size. If you are going to learn a 3d modeling program blender 3d is free and have many tutorials on youtube.
Try Autodesk Fusion 360 free for personal use. Blender is a pain in the but to learn
Looks like I'm going resin printer not the normal 3D printer
First
Phrozen mini is much better and its 4K resolution
Could be. However, it is also €120,- more expensive
I’m receiving that one within the couple of weeks😁
@@tvdb698 I'm also getting the Phrozen Sonic Mighty 9.3"
