SCP 2764, also known as The Eldritch Antarctic, is a massive biological entity of unknown origin that will telepathically communicate with individuals nearby and the size of SCP2764 does not appear to follow Euclidian geometries; that is, one cannot distinguish the organism's true size based on simply looking at it, as the creature will often appear to be many times smaller or larger than estimates determine it to be.

The SCP community is more of a topic, the wiki can't tell them to go subscribe to SCP TH-camrs. SCP is a topic, not a group that endorses channels. That's why it's impressive that he already has over 100k when his channel just started.
I love the fact that Dr Bob actually bothers to choose more obscure SCPs instead of always choosing the ones everyone speaks about.

Even if this entry still didn't non-Euclidean geometry right, at least it managed to describe some physically impossible geometry. That growing and shrinking, screwing with your perspective, was pretty cool.
@@ArcanineEspeon in a sense, that is what non-euclidean geometry, but applied to space and time instead of buildings. Space and time seems linear to us but our buildings have always had curves so it doesnt make sense for buildings

Planes which can be extended to any normal physical object that we can perceive. But if the shape changed based on perspective, say, then that would definitely be non-euclidean. He almost always describes "impossible angles", which would mean angles that don't seem fixed or clearly estimable to the naked eye, because they aren't planar (i.e. strictly 2 or 3 dimensional), and therefore are non-euclidean. His use of the term holds up-what you are demonstrating is the Dunning Kruger idiots who think they know better when they don't. Describe a 45 degree angle just outside a black hole's event horizon. That's non-euclidean geometry. Now imagine you witnessed something like that in real life, or an actual living organism whose form behaved like that, and you might just react like a Lovecraftian protagonist.

Question, is the SCP a imaginary being or is just a manipulator or reality to a sense that they can distort the ppl researching him?
I guess he's more of a manipulator. We can be sure that the anomaly happens because of this entity living in that area. However, we don't know why he's creating mirages of himself. Maybe it's some kind of game, he enjoys torturing and what's better than a slow freezing to death while you think, you're chasing it but all you do is harming yourself ?
@@PoggoThomas the captain “became” the SCP, and in the file shares the same genetics. So does that rule in a tear in time? Is it and “area” based SCP, like did that area trigger something in the captain to become and how through that?
It might be something along these lines but, we will never understand it fully. I'm going with my theory that, entity itself never manifests physically in this area, but only creates some kind of mirages/hallucinations of itself to not be harmed. It seems that it's creating some kind of twisted reality or, as you've said, tear in time, in that specific area. If the victim thinks he's getting out, it creates a mirrage to keep him in that belief while in reality, he's getting further away from the border of this "cage". Making the victim think he's turning into that entity, might be just some psychological game.

I think the creature itself isnt physically existent (from the weird size changing behavior).
And i think its more of the area around it that has the anomalous effect. It makes them see and feel things (referring to the creature) and a lot more unexplainable thing. And i think Mr. Mann here isnt the only one who experienced the anomalous effect of it, his whole team experienced it but they cant help each other (due to the time loop thing). Not really sure how this works, but thats just my theory.
