Would this be a good alternative for editing car photography pictures then LR or PS? Also I shoot mostly in jpeg fine. Would this software still be good or is it best to use with raw files? Thanks for the video!!!
Yesterday I finally tried ChatGPT and was blown AWAY by how much it can assist me as a developer. I don't have to Google and click through shit anymore, I have instant documentation explained in a way that suits me, and now we also have an AI to enhance photos? I swear we are at a very good point in technology atm.

I'm confused as to what's the difference between the lifetime purchase and their pro plan yearly subscription, could you elaborate a bit on that? for example do i get the AI tools if i do the one time purchase or are those only with the yearly payment plans?

I like this software! This seems more of a replacement for Photoshop rather than Lightroom. But it works. I know Photoshop is still king but this seems like the next best thing.
Yes could definitely be a great alternative to Photoshop. Both still have their pros and cons but Luminar for sure deserves its place
I did take a try with Luminar. Nice tool for beginners. But of course nothing can replace Photoshop in any way.

Hey, Stan. I was brought here as I have been searching for a tool to enhance old family photos from the mid and early 1900's with AI. I asked Bard to help, and he suggested HitPaw. But then I found this Luminar Neo. Can it take a blurry old photo of people and enhance so it is clear? Or can it take a small digital photo from one of the original digital cameras that had an output of like 320 x 320 and allow me to create a much larger JPEG like 2000x2000 that would be suitable for printing?
Hi! Yes Luminar Neo has tools that can be used to restore old photos! And it can increase the resolution if you for example want to then print it larger. 👍

Hey, as much as I like neo I just can't stand how on some photos it causes color banding. And if you do a lot of edits it can be very visible. Didn't you notice anything?
Hi Piotr, I haven't noticed this so far. Can you give me an example of what kind of image you're editing and what edits you're doing? Definitely want to see if this is the case!
Banding often happens when one of two conditions are true:
1 - you shot JPG
2 - the image is being pushed too far
It is possible to get banding in any editing software with those conditions it is not the fault of Luminar Neo
what is the loose quality payment with all those changes?
Do you mean if there is image quality loss with making these changes?
As with any image editing software, if you push it too far, it will probably have a negative effect on your image!

Which is the best camera under 5000$
Unfortunately, I decided not to renew my Luminar Neo subscription. Great features BUT it is crashing non stop. Have a new AMD PC with with an NVIDIA 4080. CAN’T EVEN MAKE 1 edit. Other software like Resolve and Movavi are working great. Luminar NEO went from 5 stars to 0 for me.
On a slightly different aspect of Neo that even the techs at Neo aren't able to help with... Once you import an image into Neo, on Mac Ventura I can find no way to save/export an image to a folder of my choosing as this option isn't available. I import an image into Neo, edit it and then try to select the folder it came from which is buried away on an eternal HDD but Neo won't get any further than finding the external drive; it won't then allow me to delve down through the folders on that external HDD to the folder I need; are you having the same problem or can explaing ho I can achieve this?

Your first photo is already a very good without retouching
The conditions were really great at the time of taking that photo. But like I said, I'd never been able to edit the photo the way I liked it.

I hate how much more I like the AI landscape than as shot.
Manipulating in library is very limited. You can't remove photos from catalouge because if you erase them then they are erased from disk.
the question is do you need to be connected on the internet to use the AI options ?
Most functions do not need internet connection. However, new generative AI functions do need an internet connection to generate images, just like Adobe.

Luminar is very cool but very slow... i am using it with a 3070 and it takes 10x times as lightroom so it is pretty useless
Yea it takes a bit of computing power for some tasks. I haven't had any issues however...
That's why Mac exist lol.
And very soon (next year) you will have to pay a monthly/yearly subscribtion fee and they will only offer updates for this so called pro version 🙄

@@gaprofitt That's annoying! So far I haven't had any of that... don't know if it could be related to computer processing power or anything like that. Perhaps try reaching out to Skylum support to see if they have a fix, I'm sure they will be glad to help!
@@SightseeingStan I’m using a Mac with an m1 processor. Also importing around 26,000 photos. It choked.
@@gaprofitt that's why - try importing in smaller batches - even LR would be overwhelmed with that many at one time
These AI Tools make everything look virtual, dont like them
All these AI tools and yet mong youtubers use it to make cringe pretend shocked face crap with it.
