      Yep it's via a catalogue. You could use the filters when uploading to Imagen AI to only edit certain photos in a catalogue such as flagged or one-starred, etc. So you could keep your current 1 catalogue workflow if you change up the way you star/rate your images within it?

    I'm so sad you're not a Canon shooter anymore. 😢 I know you get something for this video but is Imagen truly worth it? Especially for things like portrait shoots? I understand maybe a wedding shoot where do a ton of photos and with multiple people. And you don't have to really focus on individuals, so specific touch ups aren't needed.

    • @ImagenAI
      @ImagenAI ปีที่แล้ว

      There are Imageners editing photos as little as 1 at a time. Corporate work, headshots, sports, theater and the list can go on. It's more about the time saving for the tedious work than it is the genre of photography.

    • @juliatrotti
      @juliatrotti  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think so! Outsourcing your editing is very popular among full time photographers. After a few years you develop an editing style that your clients know you for. So instead of doing it yourself, you outsource so you can spend more time on shooting and the business side of things instead. For portraits, I can see this coming in handy for shoots like senior portraits, family sessions, couple shoots, etc.

    • @juliatrotti

      @KeytarWar ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Would you say the same thing about digital cameras / Photoshop which allows you to take and edit thousand photos VS old cameras where you need to develop films? I see AI like a tool and a way to improve our workflow, like we are doing since many years with automation

    • @Seapatico
      @Seapatico ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I disagree big time. I have imported 15,000 edited photos for the AI to learn exactly how I edit, and my clients get their photos back faster. And Imagen is actually super cheap, so I don't charge my clients any extra.

    • @sl3vin_
      @sl3vin_ ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Seapatico I also agree with you and if this make your job faster why not to use it. But still laziness is behind the corner. What you really want is to work less which I understand! It’s like a journalist with 20 years of experience is allows to use ai to write his articles.

    • @sl3vin_
      @sl3vin_ ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KeytarWar digital camera alway improve and get new features to make our job easier, more speed, better af, better dr. Photo editing is a creative signature, your own signature, and by the time everyone will edit in the same way

    • @Seapatico
      @Seapatico ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sl3vin_ It's an interesting analogy, and in a way, I get your point.
      My two thoughts are A. The specifics of journalistic reporting are very important, and getting things just slightly off can be disastrous, whereas an edit that's slightly more green isn't an issue because the stakes are just much lower.
      B. More importantly, though, I KIND OF can see a world where a reporter imports thousands of pieces they've written into an AI to build a database. Then they import the facts about the specific piece they're working on, and the AI creates a rough draft that the reporter then edits to make it the final version. And even though that's icky, and I don't love it for human reasons, I kind of think it could be fine. In the end, it's still ultimately being created by a journalist who is accountable for their work, and it's being checked by a copy editor and their department editor.
      I don't know -- I still find AI very upsetting on many levels, and I fear what it will do to our world, but I think as a tool it can be useful without necessarily being any more harmful than an editing preset.
