so since raw till 4 went viral in 2016 amongst female dieters there has been many women making videos about Raw till 4. today freelee's dispels myth about weight gain being freelee's fault or raw till 4 and features testimonials of those thriving on the lifestyle. please take responsibility for your past damaging choices before blaming fruits and veggies and those just trying to help you.
    please take a read below:
    * as i've said before i gained weight initially on the lifestyle (a fruit-based lifestyle) and it came down within a few years but i want to make a very important point 👉🏼 even during those few years my weight fluctuated before stabilising and this also happened since i was 16. why? because i was on the restrict-lose, binge-gain cycle due to not eating a diet suited for my frugivore species. and i (stupidly) fasted initially on fruit based so ofc it took time for my metabolism to heal.
so when i say i 'gained weight initially' the weight i was starting at was not my 'true' weight it was my restricted weight and i was a constant yo-yo with my weight, on weight loss drugs at the gym, caffeine, and during one period even on medication for hypothyroidism . previous was often eating 1200 calories a day trying to get lean for a body sculpting competition.
so you see my weight has never been completely stable like it is now for the past 10+ years eating freely on a fruit-based diet. ❤️🍌

When I was 10 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Incurable they said. My whole childhood and teen years I went through chemo, immunosuppressive treatments, antibiotics almost every month, starvation cause my gut health was in shambles and couldn’t eat. I had two surgeries that involved removing part of my digestive system out of my body, all my intestines out then put back in, twice. I was only 15. Every time I ate I wished I was dead. Then I went vegan. 7 years now and my lupus is gone. Every time I go to a new doctor they say I’m the healthiest person they’ve met. I love eating now. It’s not painful! Sure I gained some weight at first. Obviously! My body had been in panic and survival mode for so long! I think it took me two years to fully heal but who the fuck cares. I am finally healthy! And thriving! I eat all the fruit I want! I’m Iean, free and no longer sick! Honestly, the way most people take their health for granted. Disgusting. Thank you Freelee, you are an inspiration.

After 10 years of yo-yo dieting, eating disorders, and trying out the entire range of fad diets- I truly desired long term results so I started listening to freelee, not gonna lie the scale did tip a bit in the beginning but it all dropped after a couple months and I’ve been consistently at my goal weight while I’m continuing raw till 4 lifestyle 🥰

I went RT4 around the same time and I am Canadian. I used to go to a farmers market every week ( even living downtown Toronto) and I found it extremely inexpensive. ( but I wasn't out buying tropical fruits, I was buying what the market had in season) I came from a very restrictive past of an eating disorder and restriction. I actually didn't even gain weight. My skin was glowing, my energy levels were amazing and the weight fell off effortlessly. My stomach was always flat and my digestion was incredible. Now because i've just had a baby and don't have a lot of time, I eat more starch solution based and less fruit based, but RT4 made me optimally healthy. I plan on boosting my fruit intake again soon, but I'm shocked to hear all of these women blaming freelee for their failures.

I’m in recovery for an eating disorder. After awhile when you start re feeding your body you naturally gain weight. Eventually when your extreme hunger subside. You will naturally start eating less and losing weight ( if you are on a healthy high carb low fat plant based diet). Yes your clothes may not fit anymore but realize you are gaining your health back by going through the motions. With healthy eating patterns, hard work, and therapy (if you have ED) you will get the results you want. You just have to be patient.

Yo I’m Canadian from Toronto and this girl is driving me INSANE! We have mangoes and seasonal fruits. Sure we don’t have local strawberries all year round but then I buy frozen or whatever is available. She’s misconstruing and lying. Plus there are many different supermarkets which cater to specific cultures like Arabic, Asian etc where you can actually buy really cool fruits. She’s lying and misrepresenting Canadians 😆 Dont judge us based on her lol 😩💜
Also, the music is very annoying and manipulative to push her personal agenda. Very frustrating 😤

The other day I worked a 14 hour day of physical labor, then kept up with a 21 year old in a pushup and pull-up contest (I'm 36), and was still less tired and sore than my coworkers 10-20 years younger than me. What did I have to eat that day? A bunch of bananas, 6 mangos, and two smoothies (one green, one berry) totaling about 3,000 calories of fruit.

Freelee looks amazing, but not everyones body is naturally (when getting the right nutrients) is going to look exactly like her. Some people will naturally weight more or less and thats okay. ITS HEALTH not keeping your weight as low as possible.

You truly are a wonderful soul Freelee ❤ about the finance, I'm a low income single mum in the uk yet I still manage to get most of what I need for a raw till 4 style way of eating. I do this by prioritising. Healthy, organic a lot of the time food is my top priority for me and my kids. I don't buy new clothes, gadgets, I have an allotment now where I'm hoping to grow a good amount. But just as importantly I readjusted my expectations on my weekly food bill so I can budget correctly. Our health is so worth it! Love you Freelee.

We have amazing fruit and vegetables in Canada grown in season. When off season, we get them flown fresh from Florida, central America and even from countries far away. Costco whole sale, Walmart, No Frills and so many more super stores with excellent prices and deals. Processed foods and animal products may seam cheaper in the short term, but they cost you your health and shorten your life, in the long run.

Well done on the video. I eat plant based 5 days a week (except the odd coffee). I love it. When it's warmer I have extra fruit, when it's colder I have extra potatoes. I never ate plums until a couple of months ago. Now I can't get enough of them. I love cooking potatoes in the oven. They taste so much better without being corrupted by the meat fats draining in it and lathered with gravy, butter, oil, etc. Just some cracked pepper and herbs. I eat fruit either in smoothies or just on its own. I'm always full at 7pm and no late night cravings. I'm not plant based on weekends but my way of eating is so much better as each weekend passes. I've completely turned off soft drink and other types of flavoured drinks. I used to be 3 coffees a day. That's now gone to 5-6 a week max and most times without milk. I used to have 2-3 servings of meat a day. I was so addicted to chicken based meals, pizza, cheese, chocolate, cakes, cookies, soft drinks. All my food needed to contain cheese in the past. I'm moving away from that culture. Your videos and your courage to take on the corruption has been a big help to me. I also owe a lot to the SpudFit person from Melbourne who has showed us all that potatoes cooked the right way are indeed so healthy. You should watch the video he did about Nestle. I'm also loving PlantBasedNews. Thanks once again. Much strength to you and your convictions.

I’m so glad you addressed this video! I remember back then in 2016 when I was flirting with the idea of going plant based, I was watching your videos nonstop to get more perspective and I remember coming across her video in the process of that. The funny thing is, her video didn’t turn me away from going plant based (I haven’t eaten meat/fish/eggs/dairy since 2017😅), her video just made me wonder if the purpose of it was to blame you, which is just weird because it’s not like you literally force-fed her...

I struggled with an ed 2 years ago and only allowed myself to eat around 1200-1400 kcals day (which is absolutely not enough). After 2 years of starving my body, I „gave in“ (or more my body knew better) and I ate around 3500-3800 kcals (all vegan!!) a day and of course I gained weight!!
After almost a year of eating how much I want (and my body desires) I eat around ~2200-2500 kcals (I don’t count) a day. I‘m still vegan, and i‘m really getting into the RT4 diet. I love it!

I remember coming across this video of hers in 2016 when I was beginning my health journey and this lifestyle.
I saw right through her. It’s sad that she was so focused on the weight when really it’s just another opportunity to love yourself where you are right now in this moment.
She did this for “quick” weight loss and got discouraged when her body held onto everything because she most likely restricted a ton before hand.
Same thing happened to me. I literally gained 50+ pounds and it was Because I starved myself of carbs for so long because the diet industry told me to 🥴
It took a couple years for that weight to slowly fall off and now I’m the slimmest I’ve ever been. I literally weigh less now than I did then I was 14 years old. I’m 29 now.
It’s so nice to eat an abundance of food whenever I need to and not feel stressed about my body and if I’m going to gain weight.
This lifestyle is the best thing to ever come into my realm. Not only am I at my perfect weight, I also have so much for energy, my skin is vibrant, and my love for animals grows and grows every second of my life.

    2. Girl lives in Canada and is surprised that several boxes of mango cost her a fortune, like???? Turn your brain on
    3. She claims RT4 made her judgmental and aggressive, so.... what exactly is the attitude she's showing in the video then supposed to be?

Dude, I lived in Canada for almost four years and I would always be able to get great deals on produce and even tropical fruit such as manila mangoes, jackfruit, pineapple, etc. from the smaller markets and Asian stores. This chick is seriously surprised that you're gonna be spending a lot more when you buy all organic at Whole Food?? Ugh, smh.

I've been exploring raw veganism on and off for years. While I adore the lifestyle, I've struggled to maintain it consistently in the past. Although I'd commit for several months at a time, I'd eventually revert to a standard vegetarian diet. What I noticed was that I was always counting calories and stuck in a diet mindset. Coming from a background of binge eating, I'd avoid large meals and similar foods for fear of triggering a binge episode.
Recently, I've embraced raw veganism again with a firm commitment to eating in abundance. I realised that to make this lifestyle work, I needed to let go of calorie counting and simply focus on enjoying ample amounts of food. This shift has been transformative. Although I initially gained some weight, it's expected when transitioning to low-calorie density foods where you're consuming greater volume. This approach is crucial for feeling satiated and satisfied. I'll trust the process; I know once my body is ready, I'll lose the extra pounds.
Interestingly, I embarked on this raw journey at a time when I felt uncertain about affording it. However, fully committing has not only enhanced my health but also brought unexpected financial blessings. I've always managed to afford high-quality foods, and I've never been without. I'm thrilled to continue on this path because it feels like everything has fallen into place perfectly for me.

I've been to that whole foods in Mississauga. Whole foods is expensive, even more so if you buy organic. We buy what we can afford and so should everyone else. Clearly she cannot afford to shop at whole foods and buy everything organic and that was her choice. There are much cheaper grocery stores and non organic options. Living in Canada our growing season is short, shop the markets during the warm months, store what you can, then buy mostly frozen fruit during the cold months. Bananas and dates are pretty inexpensive year round. Weight gain is normal if you have a damaged metabolism. It seems to me this poor girl set herself up for failure by treating this as a quick weight loss diet and buying organic exotic fruits from one of the most expensive grocery stores we have here... and that music was super annoying and makes it hard to take her seriously.

I wish these types of people would look at these diets as lifestyles. If you treat something as a lifestyle, it changes perspective. When you change how you eat, you change your life (good OR bad). I remember watching this video right when I first went vegan and I was like, "HUH?" #delusional

This is so helpful! I have been following the frugivore diet since around January. I have gained ten lbs and am searching for what I must be doing wrong. But I do come from major calorie restriction and fasting and extended fasting. I’m excited to get to the point where my body trusts me enough to let go of the extra weight. I do feel great. Eating this way has helped in so many other areas like cravings and over eating and energy and well being.

She was obviously quite young and perhaps didn’t do the background research for herself.. as you say the raw till 4 idea was still very new and it’s very different to a regular weight loss diet where you expect to see rapid results, which you have always been transparent about! The hyper focus on just weight loss and numbers really distracts from the whole effect of this lifestyle- the impact it has on skin, mood, energy and digestion are massive even before weight loss comes. I have been doing this for roughly 2 years, and I have put on weight. I put my hand up and admit that it’s a result of the years of calorie/carb restriction and neglecting to nourish myself properly, mainly because I had no idea what I was doing, and had bad advice. There were years that I was rail thin, but my overall health was terrible- itchy skin with breakouts, unstable mood, terrible sleep patterns and digestion, painful periods, dehydration, lack or energy and motivation. It’s easy to look back and wish I was thin, but there’s no way I’d take all those health problems back.
She didn’t get immediate results and needed someone to blame, obviously nothing was her own fault 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Why is this woman so angry? The responsibility for her personal health is hers alone. Her actions are her choices and she can not blame anyone for her past, or the outcome of her choices. Raw till 4 saved my life, My food bill has decreased and my endurance and athletic performance has gone through the roof and my blood tests have stabilized. I started with high carb fully raw in 2011 and then moved to Raw till 4 around 2015 with incredible results, metabolism damage is real and I had a a history of severe ED, and was able to see increased energy results within days and weight stabilization in few months and the health benefits just continue. Thank you Raw till 4!

I'd love more information about Chronometer and how it works because I just started using it recently and the calorie count seems really off to me. I've never looked at calories before in my life but it's been telling me that I'm getting in about double the calories I "should" be when I'm eating relatively small meals that are all whole foods, plant-based, SOS-free, high raw... I'm so confused.

I agree with Freelee, this woman's video is mental. I am doing RT4 in order to lose weight but not at the expense of my health and well-being but, on the contrary, to its benefit! I have never had to lose weight before so I'm not sure whether my weight-loss is happening quickly or slowly, but I've been following the protocol as much as my budget allows (100% vegan, mostly raw till 4 but sometimes I can only do fruit for breakfast and then having a (vegan) soup with bread for lunch and sushi or steamed sweet potatoes with steamed veggies for dinner ). My exercise is only just walking 5 miles a day (sometimes 7) on the the weekdays about about 12 to 15 miles on Saturday and Sunday). I've been following this for 3 weeks and my weight has gone from 75.15 kilos to 72.30 kilos (as of this morning). More important than the weight-loss, I have heaps of energy and after a near lifetime of depression, I feel so happy and content (and none of the external factors in my life have changed since starting the diet) - even when bad or annoying stuff happens, my mood only changes for a short time and I feel like I have much more resilience, more so than I have ever had before. I will definitely report back because everything is progressing in the right direction :- )

I haven't fully embraced rt4 yet although because of freelee I incorporated more fruits and ate very clean. Whole day eating fruits and dinner I eat cooked low fat vegan meal that I usually cook. Just by this I felt better , lighter, hydrated , and I now usually crave for fruits instead of unhealthy stuff. In additional I also lost weight without even trying hard. All my friends noticed it. I usually workout too. Just by incorporating fruits and eating more clean I felt better. Body is adjusting. Losing weight ain't no miracle, if she gradually transitioned maybe she will feel better. Not all bodies are the same and not all motivations are the same, listen to your body, take it easy , nice and slow. Slowly incorporate more fruits until you feel good on eating more.
