i dont think thats the correct way to fill the level..... you have to start the truck, run through each gear, and open the fill plug and when the stream is small you close the fill plug. your stream was gushing out which means could have too much fluid in it
What you said is the proper way if you don't measure how much fluid came out. There'll be expansion difference between new and old fluid but it's not significant enough at under 60k-mile old fluid.
@@mattschelbitzki1728 I was at the Nissan dealership recently and got the transmission flashed, they told me the torque converter is going and they wanted to replace the transmission entirely. I’ll do the fluid change and hope it fixes it, if not we will run it til it dies.
Those were just leftovers. Thought I needed more to refill the BMW ZF tranny. So instead of waiting for another 50k miles, I used them on the Armada since it's almost due already.
30 years as a mechanic. I've never seen someone mix fluids. What is the reason?
Great video, great music for the video as well. I have the Nissan NV 3500 van. It has the same set up thank you sir.
Thank you sir!
You can also fill it from the dipstick up top.
There is no dipstick on the Armada (or Titan)
This is just stupid on Nissan part @@williamroozenboom3269
No dipsticks on this transmission.

fluid temperature has to also be 40 degrees C

whatsis called the tool
There is no dip stick on a 2020 armada
Yup. I checked my 2020 Nissan Armada. No dipstick. My 2010 Nissan Titan has a dipstick with the older generation power train
Does anyone else have an Armada that kind of slips in first gear, not all the time but sometimes
Yup around 1500 rpm and 20 mph off and on all the time.
Don’t know if it’s slippage but it bounces are 1500 rpm like it doesn’t know if it should shift or not
@@Bizbinski yeah exactly what you said. I've been through God knows how many forums and videos and still can't find a definitive cause.

@@Bizbinski I came for this. I've been experiencing 1st gear bounce for the past couple days. Just off the line and slow start on hills.
what was the milage when you change transmission fluid
57k miles, also stated on the video description.
Fluid looks nasty for 57000 miles
Thanks for the video, is it the same for QX80?
Yes, sir!
Nice Armada, please what brand of tires do you have on that Armada?...very nice profile 😮...would like to purchase also
Thanks! Tires are Falken Wildpeak AT3W (P-metric). Despite being an A/T tire, it's softer and quieter than the OEM Bridgestone.
@tekinsight2905 what size?
@zachf355 they look like a stock size, which is 275/60r20.
My 2018 armada has 90k miles is it too late to change transmission fluid?
A change would be fine but not a flush.
Hi. I’m getting ready to do this to my 2018 Nissan Armanda. Can you explain to me why you used two different types of transmission oil?
Those were just leftovers. Thought I needed more to refill the BMW ZF tranny. So instead of waiting for another 50k miles, I used them on the Armada since it's almost due already.
this transmission oil change goes to 2017 armada platinum ? thank you
Yes sir! Applies to Y62 series equipped with Jatco 7-speed transmission.
Great vid! Where did the ATF-112 adapter come from?
Multiple adapters are included with the pump.
What year
2018. But all Y62 (2017+) should be the same
How to mileage change kilometre
1.609 km is to 1 mile
How many miles was on it? Was the transmission fine after fluid change?
Yes, it's all doing great. It's been almost 5k miles since and I even took it on a ~3k mile road trip.
Why not just use only Nissan transmission oil?
I use what I have available and is appropriate. But if were to buy net new, I'd get the Nissan branded.
thought it was supposed to be red
Nissan matic-s fluid is red when new. Liqui Moly is brownish.
i change fluid transmission every 9k miles. engine oil every 3k miles. yes i am crazy. 🤪
$15 a quart fluid, just over fill it and then dump it down the drain. Yes please.
