Consistency is key. Doesn't matter if the wheel is an inch or a foot off the ground. Every time you pop that clutch, your front wheel should go up. Build that foundation. As you progress, give it more throttle and more throttle. Some bikes need more throttle than others. What helped me was my throttle wrist position. I had a flat wrist (good posture for cruising). But someone pointed out to me that I should angle my wrist slighty up to allow myself some more "yank." Once you've got the hang of the front wheel going up, look into changing up the sprockets to a -1/+1 or -1/+2. Looking forward to your wheelie progress. Also, I enjoy the fact you know when to take a break and reset. Some people will push themselves too hard.
Thanks for the insight, this is the exact comment I needed. This week so far, Im doing exactly what you said, getting it up everytime, even though its just about an inch or two, some of them go up a good amount and are held for about 2 second instead of a millisecond pop up. I’ve been getting more comfortable giving it more throttle just trying to find the sweet spot. Im gonna try switching the wrist positioning and see if that gives me that more yank. Ride safe bro and again thanks for the help🙏
I mean you’re right but its a little easier said than done lmao. But again…absolutely right, this just motivated me tho. Just wait for the next vid, you might get a lil feature lol
Yeah thats what im trying to find on this wheelie stuff. The fine line between respecting it and learning what I can and cant do before things go wrong.
Yeah in day three i was comfortable with the motion and consistently getting it off the ground. Now i just gotta give it more throttle to get higher. Thanks for the tip and for watching. Be safe🙏
Lmaoo, thats crazyy. I think the wheelies are calling your name👀. I got an ebay austin racing exhaust. It was like $130. I got pics of it on my insta if you wanna check it out.
It does have more torque but its super twitchy and sensitive. I’ve seen some say learn in first but most people say learn in second. If it was a ninja 400 then yeah 1st would be the move. Im just taking it slow bc i dont want anything to happen to my bike😭. But its getting there, youll see week 2 progress hopefully
LOL. I watched that video but its more for when you already know how to clutch up and how to get to balance point. He said in the video to watch thr first one (how to wheelie a 400) since its all the same thing

If you wanna learn to wheelie you can’t be scared of your bike man

Someone once told me something similar. Don't be afraid of your bike but know it demands respect. Your bike will only do what you allow it to do.
Yeah thats what im trying to find on this wheelie stuff. The fine line between respecting it and learning what I can and cant do before things go wrong.

Hey, one question. Why don’t you start in fist gear (it has more torque right?) ?
I’m just curious, since I don’t have a bike yet… 🥲
