This hymn became so meaningful to me on November 13, 1993. God gave me a precious moment in time to sing Be Still My Soul, to my dying mother. She was only 73. This was so unexpected. But, it was God's perfect plan for her life. And, what a gift from God she was! Thank you for playing this hymn so beautifully...

I could definitely sense the Holy Spirit the thing that got me was reading the comments of so many of y’all that are going through so much loss in grief and pain. It literally made me cry. There’s so many hurting people just when you think you’re going through something all you gotta do is read these commentsand I pray that God gives you so much grace and strength and peace and joy in those seasons, and yes, our promise is we’ll see our loved ones again, but that doesn’t diminish what we have to go through on earth. I’m thankful for music like this that brings healing and hope.

And yet God promises in Romans 8:28 that He causes all things to work TOGETHER for good, to them who love God. Through your suffering and through your tears, praise God anyway. Our God inhabits our praise. allow Him to heal you from the inside out. Nothing else in this world will come close to closing that incredible devastating wound. I am praying for you now.

I had never heard of this song until last week. In the year 2021, while my grandmother was praying for me said she got a song for me. I noted the hymn no. and forgot about it. And just last week, I decided to search for it here on YT and wow, I love this so much now. God’s love is so pure. Pay attention, listen to him, he is always speaking to us in many form. I lost my Dad in January to COVID-19, and this was the song chosen to play during his viewing. I have listened to it every day since. I miss him so much. Thank you both for this beautiful prayer. Dad would have loved this.

We did a season at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in the first year of our marriage, while we both worked in London - the spectacle & drama of being down in the 'Prom' at the 'Last Night of the Proms' in 1981! Now I find much comfort hrough the lyrics of the hymn as I learn to trust more in Him through this time of mourning & loss until we meet again. My husband's not 'gone' - he's just 'gone on ahead'. So, in the words of the hymn: "Be still my soul the Lord is on thy side, Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain, Leave to thy God to order and provide, In every change He faithful will remain."

I discovered this song when I was going through a rather sad and dark time in my life and found myself listening to sacred music all day, every day, for several years, even though I’m not what you’d call a particularly religious person. This song plus others like it brought me a lot of peace. To this day, this song is one of my favs. This is a particularly beautiful rendition which will going in my save list.

This beautiful piece brought years to my eyes. It reminded me of two beautiful songs. Be Still and know that I am God and It Is Well With My Soul. Written by a man who was going on a ship with his wife and two daughters, but he was not able to go, so they continued on this ship. Not long after, this ship was in a storm and sank. He lost his wife and 2 daughters. After this he wrote It Is Well With My Soul.

I discovered this song when I was going through a rather sad and dark time in my life and found myself listening to sacred music all day, every day, for several years, even though I’m not what you’d call a particularly religious person. This song plus others like it brought me a lot of peace. To this day, this song is one of my favs. This is a particularly beautiful rendition which will going in my save list.

This beautiful piece brought years to my eyes. It reminded me of two beautiful songs. Be Still and know that I am God and It Is Well With My Soul. Written by a man who was going on a ship with his wife and two daughters, but he was not able to go, so they continued on this ship. Not long after, this ship was in a storm and sank. He lost his wife and 2 daughters. After this he wrote It Is Well With My Soul.
