It's totally criminal that SF6's roster has no Final Fight characters despite the fact that Metro City is prominently featured in the game. No Guy or Cody or even Maki, Lucia, Sodom, Rolento, etc. and when the hell are we finally gonna get Haggar as an official SF roster character?
And they literally have the Final Fight arcade game playable on arcade cabs in both the hub and Metro City itself. :O But yeah we'll probably see playable FF characters at some point. :)
Its so hilarious having this young shonen rivalry with Bosch but Matt's character is just Haggar and he acts like a mute RPG shonen hero. He's basically Freddie from Cromartie.
I have never owned a fighting game, but I picked up this one because World Tour mode looked like so much fun. The modern control scheme is a godsend for people like me whose hands are all toes and no thumbs. I've been having an absolute blast with it so far.
The Juri fight was a pretty significant difficulty spike. I basically steamrolled ever fight up to that point (include several sparring matches with other SF characters), but Juri absolutely destroyed me...and I'm pretty sure I was a few levels higher than her!
I'm loving this Lets Play despite knowing nothing about fighting games. But I do know that Caesar salad was invented in Tijuana, Mexico by an Italian immigrant named Cesare Cardini. The devs' food trivia knowledge is on point.
I'm probably gonna make my own character for this mode after this demo but I seriously hope some of you guys recreate characters like Satin Hammer or Kip or Sawada.

Hey Matt, if you want his shoulder strap do what I did, buy two "Cute Chokers" from the clothing shop in the bazaar then equip them in gear appearance slots, press Triangle (or whatever button it is on whatever platform you're playing on) to adjust it's size and placement, pick chest for both of them and adjust until you're satisfied. It takes at least two to get it to look like a proper strap, but it's tricky and may require 3. Took me hours upon hours until I finally was able to work it down so that I had just two looking good. I'll post a video showing him off at some point.
As someone who doesn't really play fighting games unless they have a real, robust, story mode, SF6 has been feeding me well after starving all these years

When I saw the thumbnail I kind of paniced for a moment; my first avatar battle was against a Haggar, and I hadn't gotten my proportions quite right at the time and I looked super wonky. I fixed it shortly after, but I really did not want to make my Flophouse debut looking like that! Thankfully that was a "Mike Haggar" rather than "Maggar". "Everyone's super positive, but everyone loves to fight." That is the world that we should all strive for. You know you've messed up your company when the moment you disappear, your staff wrap ties around their faces and hunt the streets for blood. I'm still stunned that Thrasher wasn't in the base roster, much less the first season. I really hope he'll be season 2. I don't know if I'd ever seen him in Final Fight, but this game made me like him a lot. Poison was my SF4 main so obviously I want her back as well. And I always liked Haggar so he'd probably be third, don't really have much attachment to the other heroes as I only played the original and not much. The bloom is definitely high though in some places. I actually made my character a bit white and glowey, intended to be a bit of a more human-passing "sibling" of Eleven and Twelve, and there are some places where it's like the hex is just set to EEEEEE. What I love most is the thought of Maxim just running screaming down the sidewalk, stopping, giving a long speech about freedom and not realizing what you have until it's gone, and then resuming running screaming down the sidewalk.

When I get my copy today I am going to make a Terry Bougard clone although I am conflicted on whether to make a female version or the male version... choices 🤔. I got a question Matt did you happen to see the Zangief arcade letter ending cuz if you didn't it's really a blast and I'm amazed Capcom didn't put in the track from Capcom versus SNK 2 soundtrack score this is true love in the making for his ending with Marisa.
Been playing it all day. This and Spider-Man 2 have been my only real game wants this year. And I'm glad to finally have one and it is great indeed. Heck, it's almost overwhelming how much stuff there is to do in this one especially compared to SFV's launch. :O

Since the first one the concept of "street fighting" was never that literal... 🙄 Plus, the game's title was named after the movie "The Street Fighter" from 1974 according to IGN. That's such a pointless nitpick... especially because the sequel is named "Street Fighter II: *The World Warrior."*

The whole "guys wait to jump in" reminds me of Power Rangers on the Game Gear (of all things). Not being able to do many sprites it was a fighting game instead of a beat-em-up with Putties attacking one at a time, hey that fits with the source. I dare say it's aged very well for an 8-bit fighter.
NGL, I made Haggar as well. You let me make a character in a Capcom fighting game and 99% of the time I am making Haggar. Edit. I would be Dan's student in a heartbeat. He is my boy.

IIRC he's too similar to Zangief even though we have Shoto clones. But IMO it's a case of being too busy running Metro City to be a SF but with Cody being mayor now, I'd say he's (semi) retired but then again, I believe in an Old Man Haggar kicking ass even if he can dish out or take a hit like in the good ol' days.
