I'm a highschool student and I play alto saxophone in our band. This has been one of my favorite pieces forever, Sean O' Loughlin is my favorite composer. I've always loved this song. We're finally doing it in band this year and I'm so excited!
ahhh flutes and clarinets at 69 after the eigth note is beautiful and first sax(which I play) at 71 is beautiful and the amazing contrast at 135 with Saxes flutes and clarinets, then trumpets, low brass, and French horn. All of those parts make this the amazing piece it is!
this is our marching music, this tempo, and i am in the 8th grade, and i am getting the hang of it. just dont know how in the world i will memorize it. ours sounds almost exactly the same. but our band directors changed it a little bit.
This is just an epic piece in general and so much fun to play. We are doing it at Mississippi State University Honor Band this year in the lower band. Its a great piece and I would recommend it to anyone :)
Oh my god, I played the flute part with the other flutes for this song in 7th grade and absolutely loved it. ❤ I love you for putting this on TH-cam. :)
I absolutely love watching middle school kids who don't know how to shut off their computers fight over shit that's not relevant. Please continue, I'll go get some snacks
Oh...i see now. LOL sooorry. I love horses so i just read the horse part and not the rest. :D Oh pitt...i was in it for marching band. Its kinda fun! Thats good practiceing. I rly dnt have time too do that so...I onli practice at school.
3:30-4:00, and roughly 4:35... YAY! French Horn solo! *first time playing it all the way through, gets to those parts (7th grade symphonic band)* "wait-- I didn't know that was a solo!" Nope... It isn't... My section mates didn't know it... so it was an unintentional solo... I'm only second chair, though... GREAT SONG!
Well, I was nowhere near as good at that part as I am now, but it was almost a guessing game for the longest time for when you were supposed to hit those staccatos. TA.....TA........TATA......TA.......TATA...TA......TATA..TA..TA
I'm a girl, 17 and nope. How about you? Oh thats cool, I learned at school from the start and i jus practice at home wen i need to, Its rare for me to take my oboe home. LOl
