Medusa has one heck of a first drop, it's not super steep or tall, but for some reason it just makes your stomach rise for such a long time, it's quite a crazy feeling.

I went on this ride when I was in 7th grade as a school trip, and my group got stuck for like 30 minutes. My closest friend confessed to her crush during that. He rejected her… the picture wasn't so great.
Just can't do that like I used to. Ha. Nor do I even feel the urge to. I'll ride something like 3 times in a row, that's about it nowadays. Things like Mister Freeze at SFOT though... that puts me out of action for a few minutes.

My mom and sister were in the back, and they literally almost ripped their ears off it was so rough.
i rode this 3 times today and if you've done the joker, than trust me this one isn't as bad, the g force makes you feel secure in the seat and its a cool feeling.

Best part about this ride is the delayed drop. You go over the edge, everybody freaks out, then realizes that they're not falling, breaths a sigh of relief before plunging into the abyss.
For anyone debating to go on this ride while waiting in line, believe me when I say this, Trust me on this one, this ride is nowhere near as scary as it looks, not only is this ride insanely fun, but it is incredibly smooth as well, the restraints are comfortable as well, and ride is overall an amazing experience, you will not regret going on this
Really fun coaster. Definitely the best at the park (if they haven't outdone it in 10 years since I've gone), followed closely behind the launched one that I'm forgetting the name of. Back seat is the best ride (except for filming); you get ripped though all the elements pulled by the weight of the front of the train. This is the ride that made me fall in love with coasters: like 15 years ago I visited this park on a super hot, awful day, and there was like an hour before the park closed but most people had gone home. My best friend and I rode this coaster over and over, trying out all the different places you could sit and not waiting in line because the train was never full.
I used to work there when the ride first opened. Back when ride operators wore tan shirts. The best part was getting to ride the roller-coaster before and after each shift 😁
Medusa was my first of the big rollar coasters. It was raining and we were there on a Sunday early in the season so I go to go twice! I’d say it was my favorite.
Really good ride. Exactly what you would expect from a B&M. Smooth, great transitions. Surprisingly forceful. I did find it weird to see that it was installed in a parking lot and that they haven't themed it yet. But that's Six Flags for you

hXc Marc Depends on the ride, really. Discovery Kingdom doesn't do much with their rides' landscaping, but Magic Mountain has a few coasters with good landscaping. (Goldrusher, Revolution, Tatsu)
This was the first roller coaster I ever rode! Back in 2005! I think I was 10! We had season passes and I never tired of this ride! This one and Roar were my favorites! RIP Roar

In your description, you say that this ride is taller and faster than Bizarro, but that doesn't make it better. I haven't been on Medusa, but, plus, you don't notice the differences with the height and speed.
Been on both, and I think this Medusa is better. It gives you that free-falling weightless feel in your stomach for a good 5 seconds at the beginning of the coaster.
My FAVORITE coaster at SFDK.@Christina Phillips, Vallejo is about a 40 minute drive east of San Francisco. It serves parkgoers from the Bay & Sacramento areas, since it's located strategically between both cities.
Now this one puts alot of pressure on you if you havent been to a rollercoaster in a long time especially the climb up and when your about to drop down.

If this ride ever gets stuck at the top of the lift hill and they have to evacuate people from the stairs, they better start with the front rows first because this B&M floorless is missing the brake at the top of the lift hill that all B&Ms have they can close it and have it hold the train so when people are getting off at the top of the lift hill, the center of weight of the train can’t shift causing the back to be lighter and the weight of the train to go over the pre drop and the entire train will start going when their restraints are open, this happened on an arrow before but I don’t know which one, that’s why all B&Ms have brakes at the top right before the drop

I know this is already answered but if be used a gopro chest mount the camera wouldn't have panned during the lift hill. he couldn't have used a gopro chest mount because you can't turn your chest during a roller coaster, especially with an over-the-shoulder restraint system like on this one.
I went to six flags yesterday and it was awesome. I rode medusa, Kong, velaticity dare devil and other cool rides. What was funny about six flags was I kept saying is the drop slow does tickle. :)
The line for this ride is ridiculous. I suggest a Flash Pass because the waiting time is 30-50 mins, and um... there is like a temple you go in and those have steps. Get a Flash Pass. #notsponsered

Yes. This was my first big coaster. I've only ever been on tiny kiddie coasters before that. It is amazing! I totally recommend it.

The back row is the only way to ride Medusa. Great floater on the first drop, and you get absolutely WHIPPED out the mid course brakes.
This is my favorite one and I did hate rollercoasters and now I love them so if you hate them then just do it it's fun and just know God is with you when you are on it
