I went there with a group of friends yesterday, and since the line was so short (compared to rides like Superman and Joker) and it wasn't having technical difficulties (like Batman, Kong, Flash, and Wonder Woman), we went on this one 3 times and we loved it.
That's what's so great about rides floorless rides like Medusa. It holds a lot of people (32 people per train and multiple trains) and these things just don't break down, so the line stays short and you won't get caught in line if it breaks
For those who haven't been on this ride, you're way more high up than what the video shows. Don't let that scare you though, it's so smooth and so fast. By far my favorite ride at discovery kingdom.
Joker drop feels like your falling forever but it is the only really intense part. Otherwise, Medusa is kind of scarier if your afraid of heights but Joker if you are scared of head choppers
Hello! I'm working on a video with Medusa in it and was wondering if I could use pieces of this POV? I would show your channel name on screen with the POV as well as link to your channel in the description.
My first high speed high altitude coaster and it was amazing. Turned me into a addict and I was afraid of pretty much all rollercoasters until I gave grizzly a try across the way....then I used the experience from grizzly and got on Medusa. Higher and the fact that your insides are being ripped out of your body doesn't feel all too fun 😭🤣🤣. But it's just that one top drop
@@ReoSmith-ec5lh I looked up grizzly and it's not the right ride it's a steel ride. The joker was not there back in 2013 somewhere around there. Did a ride list and I remember because it was the lowest steel ride and it's called Kong... It's orange and the ride is close to the ground... It's not agressive and was my first time....then I went on Medusa. I'd love to try out the joker as I never seen a wooden upside down Ride as it's New technology..... unfortunately moved out of California because the state is just too dam expensive 😞
@@ReoSmith-ec5lh if I remember correctly Kong is across the way from Medusa. I only went there 1 time so I don't remember the layout of the park very well. But I do wish I could go back. I even got a picture from the Medusa ride with me on it
This was the park i grew up in, rode this one when it was brand new atleast 20+ times, at the time it was an incredible coaster, today its an oldie but a goodie. Haven't been to discovery kingdom in nearly two decades now, kind of miss it, i have no idea what new rides they have, bout to take a look
I went to 6 flags recently, I didn't have the time to go on this ride due to how wild and long the lines were. I wish we were back at COVID capacity lines so we could wait less. I also wish there were more than 1 set of roller coaster trains for this ride.
I love this ride and ride it a lot, but I've been suffering with some minor to intense vertigo recently, should I be okay to ride it? Just want some extra opinions
Im creating a sort of Geoguesser game for roller coasters called "CoasterGuesser" Can I have your permission to use this footage in the game? Ill make sure to send you the link of it when I'm finished and to credit this pov.
medusa is a little scary the first time, because of the height, but it's very smooth for it's age. back row gives a great ride and view of the train in front of you.
I just went on it for the first time ever yesterday and the incline and drop was the most intimidating part and I was so scared but after that it was fun lol
When I was 12 I went on this ride and never been on it since. My seat unclipped and flew up mid ride and I was holding on for my life and my brother was holding me down this place is known for rides malfunctioning or not being properly maintained this park is scary.
You should have went on it if you could! I was also really scared to the point where I chickened out once. I was back at it with more courage and completed it. In fact, I also believed that it was my favorite ride in Six Flags: Discovery Kingdom after riding it. A smooth experience.
medusa stomps on all the other b&m floorless coasters its just so unique and perfect the only other floorlesses ive been on are scream at SFMM, patriot at CA great america, and batman the dark knight at SF new england scream is so bad its rattly as hell and its just so pointless in the park patriots kinda bland and short dark knight is just ok
I was scared at first so i wait for brothers im 9 by the way and they wanted me to go the reason i was scared is when it drops its moving my seats and so i ride it and it was pretty safe for 9 year olds definitely 💯 good i wanna ride it again

medusa, joker, and wonder woman are the best rides

The fact that you just said all three rides I went on today

Very true it’s my favorite ride in the park. I’ve been on it so many times it’s very smooth, but it is a high drop.
Medusa is my FAVORITE SFDK coaster. Hands down. 👍
Superman: Ultimate Flight comes in second, but Medusa just has a special place in my 💚💜
This was my first rollercoaster ever! Loved every single one I've been on since!

What's the biggest rollercoaster you've ever been on?
It goes up the lift hill pretty fast compared to most early floorless coasters.
