I bought the Rex Zero. I totally recommend it. Fantastic fit and finish to go along with the accuracy and reliability. Can't go wrong with this one guys.
That's a good point - not a single bad primer or hard primer that needed a double strike, and every round had gas in its tank as well. Good job Fiocchi.
I've fired thousands of cheap blank 9mm rounds and so far not one bad primer. I am not surprised by 1000 rounds of Fiocchio 9mm Para not having any problems.
Yes, well, I've had over 1 million rounds every 3 months go downrange at my facility, and seen plenty of bad rounds, from every manufacturer out there, as we've tried them all.
I have shot quite a lot (10k-12k??) of S&B 9mm, zero problems. Magtech is also pretty solid performer. But I hve shot that less than 2k. Geco on the otherhand, I have had two low charges in 2k rounds. When I bought my first 9mm, S&W Sigma (=POS), I bought Norinco yellow box ammo for it. There were two case ruptures before I got to 100rounds. Never bought that again...
HK the one I trust the most. And Sig. CZ after those. But my main carry is an HK P30. But I encourage everyone to find what they trust most on their own. Plently of trustworthy guns out there.
Amazing firearm but the video I feel is also a great testament to the reliability of Fiocchi ammunition. Goes bang every time, comes in good configurations with proven bullet types, and priced low enough to where it doesn’t break the bank to shoot a lot of it.
Based on all the testing you did with the Averex Rex 1 I am confident that this is a pistol I want! Thank you very much for all your hard work and reviews.
Tim i started watching your channel when you did alot of 10mm testing. And now the Rex zero . I use to have a German made sig 226 . I sold that gun years ago and miss it! So i went and bought a rex and haven't been disappointed one bit! Thanks
This video along with the elemental test video sold me on the gun 4 years ago. The compact version has now been my EDC for over 3 years (using battleborn grease as well), and I am nothing but impressed with the pistol.
@@wcstrawberryfields8011 I haven’t actually held the standard version, but the compact grip fits well with a standard medium and large man’s (or woman’s) hand. My wife says it’s a reach for her hands though. Hope this helps
Its crazy because if you look close enough, you can seriously see that mirage MAC was talking about. This video and pistol are freaking impressive. Nice work!
Love this test, would love to see this done with other guns on your channel. The important thing people need to understand is the way heat plays a part in inducing malfunctions and I am very impressed with the Rex after watching this.
Well Tim... Thanks to you for covering the Arex ReX Zero 1. I went into a local shop to buy an RM380 and sitting right behind it was the ReX. Had it not been for your videos I would have easily overlooked this gem of a pistol. The guy at the shop said he can't keep these in stock for more that a couple days. I shot about 150 rounds through it and I have to say it might just unseat my VP9 as my favorite pistol to shoot. The ReX grip looks deceptively simple but it really fits my hand and shoots incredibly well!
Yet another excellent vid, Tim and crew. That handgun is clearly able to keep up with the best of them and then some. Don't give yourself tendonitis doing these extreme shoots too often, Tim!
Two things impressed me in this video. 1)Tim's forearm of steel. You guys have no idea how painful it is to shoot that many rounds with no rest. Many of us would not make it due to screaming pain in hand and forearm. It is all about a repetitive action and motion with a tight little muscle group that is not used to doing that action for a log time with no rest. The pain can actually reach a very high level. But Tim is a former US Marine. Jar Heads don't know about quitting. Not in their vocabulary! Pain just means you are still alive and can keep fighting to stay that way! :) 2) The gun grease. Impressive to hold up with all that heat. VERY interesting product!
1000 tiros sem parada, linda arma e com excelente em eficiência, a mão que quase não aguentou em amigão kkkk. Parabéns pelo vídeo, pq aqui no Brasil jamais teria como fazer isso, ficaria o zoi da cara.
Fiocchi ammo is very good. I have many rounds in many calibers and have never had a problem with it. It is also reasonably priced and loaded a little hotter than most other ammo brands.
Afrer watching your video. I bought an Arex Zero 1 CP, and I took it to the range along with my Sig Sauer P229 Legion. Both of them performed flawlessly. I love them both. Thanks...
After watching your gauntlet test against the P226, and watching your other Rex Zero videos, as well as others, I decided to purchase a Rex Zero. Picked it up this week. Ran 400 rounds yesterday and over 200 today. Wow!!! What can I say? Fantastic firearm from Slovenia. Ammo used: Sig sauer, Freedom, Estate, Geco, Federal HST, and yes, Tula. Zero, yes, zero malfunctions. High accuracy at 10 yards with tight, tight groups. Smooth trigger pull, even the DA pull which is heavy, but consistently smooth without grit. I am so impressed with this firearm that as soon as my Rex Zero holster comes in from K-Var, my EDC will change from my P320 (which I still love) to my Rex Zero. Just my personal preference. Thanks for bringing this sweet firearm to my attention.
Hi, MAC I'm from homeland of REX Zero1 and I was surprised over that test result, not to mention your reliability mud test. About 3-4 years ago, I was present at a national IDPA match (still in factory testing phase), and couldn't empty 1 whole mag without hiccups. Put that to aside, looks like development folks did a good job since then. Suggestions for your reliability test. Walther P-38, TT-33... and just for curiosity SA revolver vs. DA revolver in the same cal. for a fair comparison. Keep on running one of the best TH-cam gun channels!

I had no idea when I bought my Rex Zero it was capable of what I've seen in the two videos. I'm as blown away as Tim... and now, I feel smart for buying it. This thing may turn out to be the Colt Python of semi-autos.
Great Video Mac and team. I didn't realize the pistol had a full length rail. Do you think that has anything to do with its go to hell and back reliability? I also swear by those loaders! Greatest invention EVER! If any of my shooting buddy's don't have one in their range bag it's my go to Xmas gift. Thanks again guys. Speaking of Xmas I know what I'm asking the wife for this year! Haha
Great little pistol, great test. I've been using this Battle Born grease last time around I went shooting in Germany (spending too much working time in the UK lately) and it's been very reliable in the 2 pistols and 3 rifles I took out including that same day and my very first CZ SP-01 I purchased after you showed it off and had to take the plunge. The "motorcycle race" sounded like a dive bomber, kinda random. Hopefully you'll have avoided some form of tendinitis after this or cuts and grazes from reloading even with the loaders for your mates.
This video is what sold me on the Battleborn grease. Been using it on all of my firearms including my duty weapon and not a single issue and stays put even in hot or cold weather.
I didn't think much of it since it's a Sig clone but considering that the only Sig I own won't run right and the Rex is a flame and lead throwing juggernaut that's as steady as a sewing machine I'm going to have to put my prejudice aside and give it a look. Thanks for the vids, I hope your wrist is feeling better by niw🤕
Hunter Jordan The Scorpion Carry I have is a pos, my Walter p22 is more reliable after 2000 rds of cheap bulk 22lr and no cleaning. The gun looks amazing but that's about all it's good for, but, if it ran as good as it looks I'd be supremely happy with it. I miss the Kimber Raptor that I sold to get it.
The gun is so well made our soilders cheifs (damn I forgot how they are called (2 ranks higher than private)) use them as their secondary. Before they used a beretta.
Considering the price, the Arex is a great option, as it really is a Sig226 with a better slide stop/safety mech - I am a long time 226 shooter, as I was an adjunct instructor for Sig Sauer Academy for years back in the early 2000s, and due to my larger hands I would always have my thumb holding down the slide stop, resulting in no lock open on empty magazines. This pistol would correct that for me, plus a bonus +2 rounds in standard magazines. I wonder if 226 sights fit on it? I don't think grips will due to the different ergo/control position, but sights for me = big dots or no go, which would be the only thing holding me back from running one of these for a while. Anyhow, great test. As you said, few shooters ever put this many rounds downrange in a day, let alone 15 minutes, and it's an important measure of what the service life will be like. Having put 1 million rounds of Winclean and Frangible ammo downrange each quarter (3 months) on my range, through every type of pistol known to man, I've seen what lasts and how long through the most reliable test method out there - a lot of shooting in short periods of time. 30,000 service life is very decent, and I believe it to be pretty accurate in this case based on the wear - lack thereof - and the information out there about the components and manufacturing methods they are using at Arex.
I am going to buy one now. Plus...I spent a week in western Slovenia at a rocket contest...gorgeous countryside and nice people. So a little give back makes me feel good.
Greg Mason K-VAR is a distributor and only sells the item FIME Group is the importer who sells the Rex to all distributors. Arex in Slovenia is the actual manufacturer.
Well color me impressed. The Rex Zero 1 has definitely gone from being completely unknown to me to being high on my list to buy, thanks to your videos. On an unrelated note, it was funny to see how you slowed down a little when you switched to firing with your left hand. Even for a man who shoots for a living like yourself, off-hand shooting is more difficult. That was a good reminder for me to go do some more left hand dry fire drills today, because you can never have enough training! So thanks for the inspiration to keep training!
ya said ya ONLY HAD 22 mags to work with...geez! I'm struggling to find extra mags for my Rex Zero 1 Compact amongst the idiocy of covid-19 & rioting shortages in October 2020! got 2 extra 17 rounders locally & my original 15 rounders (x 2) for now
Military Arms Channel for me personally I feel a lot safer knowing that most criminals can't easily access guns, in the UK even in rough areas I don't fear for my life
I Cannot speak for him but personally i am glad there is such strict regulations on firearms in Denmark. It is perfectly legal to own a semi automatic rifle of any kind and take it to a shooting range, but you must have a hunting license which takes about a year to get with many classes and several difficult exams. It does help reduce general gun violence, and promotes an extremely high level of gun safety both on and off the shooting ranges.
Awesome video as always guys thank you. if the opportunity arises something I'd really like to see is the PMG Stryk-A/B run through the gauntlet and possibly even this test as well in order to see how it's new barrel locking system holds up to this kind of abuse. I would also like to know what your thoughts are on the pistol in general because I am interested in purchasing one but I really can't find a lot of information about them and your video from I believe a year ago about it is the most information I've been able to find.
After 1/4 of the way through the video I was thinking "man I need a life, where is the TV remote". After 1/2 way through the video I was thinking "hmmm, this is kinda neat". After 3/4 of the way through the video I was routing for both the pistol and MAC to make it the full 1,000 rounds. By the end of the video I had a big smile on my face and was thinking "man, that was a fun video". Well done MAC!
You should put it through the elemental torture test a 2nd time to see if you can replicate the original results. Perhaps a 2nd Arex to see if that one isn't just a fluke. Just a thought. I was going to get a CZ for a hammer pistol but will probably get this instead.
MAC, I was wondering if you are going to have more videos of the IWI Jericho 941? And are you going to review the .308 Galil ACE? after your review of the Tavor I have seriously considered the rifle. Thank you for that and everything you do.
They make a 3.8" barrel version of this pistol, Arex has three sizes in fact, this one, and two smaller versions. The Standard as seen here, the Combat, and the Compact. The Combat and Compact are the same size other than the Compact having a shorter grip and less capacity, both are around G19 or 229 dimensions otherwise.
Had to buy one after watching this and very very satisfied with my purchased to say the least just a well built and quality gun worth the money well worth it!!!!
If I find myself in need of another 9mm pistol, this one is at the top of my list. Your videos of it have thoroughly impressed me. Is there any consideration of doing the elemental test/ gauntlet on a Lionheart?
Fantastic gun for a fantastic price! Actually with the money saved you can afford the gun and 1000 rounds at today’s crazy prices on ammo! Thanks for the video.
The CZ 75b is by far one of the best steel combat/duty handguns on the market. The CZ 75 SP01 is a great choice if you need a light rail. A smaller option would be the P01 Omega, it has a light rail and the ability to switch between decocker and safety controls. The P07 and P09 are both great options if you want a polymer frame. I personally have ~3500-4000 rounds through my CZ 75 Single Action; it is the best shooting semi auto pistol I have ever shot.

TheTyrial86 Great point I'm a simple kinda guy, guess why i have more glocks than anything all because of the access to parts and holsters. Great point because i really dont have the time searching all over the United States for a Holster for the Rex! but.... i do like the magazine prices for the Rex only 25 dollar's so that's a big deal. I'm definitely going to take my time with this.

I didn't think much of it since it's a Sig clone but considering that the only Sig I own won't run right and the Rex is a flame and lead throwing juggernaut that's as steady as a sewing machine I'm going to have to put my prejudice aside and give it a look.
Thanks for the vids, I hope your wrist is feeling better by niw🤕
it's a less precise sig clone, more field-minded
Hunter Jordan
The Scorpion Carry I have is a pos, my Walter p22 is more reliable after 2000 rds of cheap bulk 22lr and no cleaning. The gun looks amazing but that's about all it's good for, but, if it ran as good as it looks I'd be supremely happy with it. I miss the Kimber Raptor that I sold to get it.
sig+zastava+cz=rex
The gun is so well made our soilders cheifs (damn I forgot how they are called (2 ranks higher than private)) use them as their secondary. Before they used a beretta.
Impressive doesn't do this justice. This was utterly amazing!
Have one and love it but don’t forget HK 😎
I am going to buy one now. Plus...I spent a week in western Slovenia at a rocket contest...gorgeous countryside and nice people. So a little give back makes me feel good.
You should interview someone from Kvar Corp and ask them why their gun works so well and what they did different than Sig
Greg Mason K-VAR is a distributor and only sells the item FIME Group is the importer who sells the Rex to all distributors. Arex in Slovenia is the actual manufacturer.
Arex then
Well color me impressed.
I'm struggling to find extra mags for my Rex Zero 1 Compact amongst the idiocy of covid-19 & rioting shortages in October 2020! got 2 extra 17 rounders locally & my original 15 rounders (x 2) for now
I really like how you were utilizing that weapon ambidextrously! It just goes to show how excessively superb that side arm is! 🤯🤯😮🖖🏼
Both happy and sad that guns are illegal in my country, but i still love to learn about stuff like this. :)
What makes you happy about guns being illegal in your country?
Military Arms Channel for me personally I feel a lot safer knowing that most criminals can't easily access guns, in the UK even in rough areas I don't fear for my life
I Cannot speak for him but personally i am glad there is such strict regulations on firearms in Denmark. It is perfectly legal to own a semi automatic rifle of any kind and take it to a shooting range, but you must have a hunting license which takes about a year to get with many classes and several difficult exams. It does help reduce general gun violence, and promotes an extremely high level of gun safety both on and off the shooting ranges.
kay4x4
what country do you live in?
I feel you, but I dont think that guns are absoloutely illegal in your country.
Awesome video! Thank you for the time and effort you put into these tests.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
You should put it through the elemental torture test a 2nd time to see if you can replicate the original results. Perhaps a 2nd Arex to see if that one isn't just a fluke. Just a thought. I was going to get a CZ for a hammer pistol but will probably get this instead.
That's why they call it the rex zero for zero malfunctions.
MAC, I was wondering if you are going to have more videos of the IWI Jericho 941? And are you going to review the .308 Galil ACE? after your review of the Tavor I have seriously considered the rifle. Thank you for that and everything you do.
Who is watching in 2020?? What a video!
Would you now consider using the Rex as you're new every day carry over the CZ?
No way, that's a full size duty pistol.
Steve Roberts If you have shot both. They are pretty equal. I would want both lol.
SerHaHa Is the compact being imported yet???
UnabashedNationalist Really, that is a lot of gun. Probably little hard to CCW. Thanks for the information.
Tip - Watch the shooting at 2x speed if you want to see it all without skipping!
Sweet video Mac, I'd love to get one of these pistols!
can this be a series?
We'll do more, but finding the ammo to do this a lot would be challenging. :)
Had to buy one after watching this and very very satisfied with my purchased to say the least just a well built and quality gun worth the money well worth it!!!!
Hopefully it will still be around to buy when i can afford it lol.
I have 8 Sig handguns, five 229, two 226 and one 220 but my Arex Rex Zero 1 will be here tomorrow. Excited to compare...good video!
Well, what was the verdict? I’m trying to decide between the 226 and the Zero 1
We would love a CZ 75B torture test and m other question is how this does this puppy cost?
Around $600. They can be found for a little more or less.
thanks dude
John Sykora yes yes yes, CZ75 SP01 Tactical torture test please
$599.99 MSRP. Sale price is about $550.
I am IMPRESSED!!! Now if this company would make a pistol carbine to go with this I'd be in heaven.
If I find myself in need of another 9mm pistol, this one is at the top of my list. Your videos of it have thoroughly impressed me.
Is there any consideration of doing the elemental test/ gauntlet on a Lionheart?
Pistola espetacular!!👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷
Nicely done! I love my Arex!
ppq or cz next for gauntlet? i know you it's not easy to get all these guns, keep up the good work!
justin nolan 1911 just because I think it will fail miserably like the Sig legion did.
Fantastic gun for a fantastic price! Actually with the money saved you can afford the gun and 1000 rounds at today’s crazy prices on ammo! Thanks for the video.
Think im going to consider this for my last an final Firearm purchase. what do you guy's think CZ or the A Rex??
The CZ 75b is by far one of the best steel combat/duty handguns on the market. The CZ 75 SP01 is a great choice if you need a light rail. A smaller option would be the P01 Omega, it has a light rail and the ability to switch between decocker and safety controls. The P07 and P09 are both great options if you want a polymer frame.
I personally have ~3500-4000 rounds through my CZ 75 Single Action; it is the best shooting semi auto pistol I have ever shot.
armedrebellion47 i dont believe you. your last gun purchase say it's not true Lol.
Old Gregg Can't go wrong with the most Reliable weapon in the world😄 let me stop for these guy's get all upset. It's getting cold so it's time for the full size weapons to come out! good luck on your purchase sir! oh wait a minute it's a Glock so you have nothing to worry about😄😃 congrats an enjoy.
CZ for parts availability and holsters. I would go for an SP01, or P07. The Arex is good also kinda depends on if you want to carry them.
