Tks for these excellent instructions and sharing this video! I willve a lot of cartridges now that Ivgot to kn8w the basics of shooting. I've been tp the shooting groynd also with an instruktor who unfortunately could not instruct. With this video I can practise right!
I get very confused when someone says "point and don't aim". What exactly separates pointing from aiming? Isn't pointing basically a form of aiming and isn't aiming really just pointing? Coud someone clearly define the difference between those two for me?
Aiming meams you focus on the sight - i.e. you are intensely staring at the bead. Pointing means you focus on the bird, and it's almost like you line the gun up out of the corner of your eye (at least that is how I try to apply the concept).
@@bolshoefeodor6536 Thank you. Would the "pointing" concept also work with a rifle and a handgun? I have watched some videos of highly accomplished rifle and handgun shooters, saying you should not focus on the sights, but rather the target (essentially the same thing I hear about working with the shotgun) This is why I'm so confused with this terminology.
@@VLK-73the easiest way to explain it is this, have you ever played darts? When you throw the dart at the board you're not aiming the dart with your eye down the barrel, you'll just focus on the target that you're aiming at and instinctively throw the dart.
@@VLK-73 It won't work nearly as well with a rifle or handgun: they fire a single bullet. This kind of shotgun shooting fires dozens of bullets in a spread or pattern.
Thank you for the information!
