Cool to see a comparison between these liquid waxes for sure. I'd love to see you do a comparison between a bunch of the spray waxes as well as the mainstream/more common ceramic or graphene paste waxes.
Great video Brian. I'll tell you that Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pro to The Max Wax, Graphene Liquid Wax is absolutely a awesome product. I applied it to my 2004 Honda Accord and I was totally blown away. Turtle Wax has came out with some incredible products in the last couple of years.
Hydro slick goes on well with an microfiber applicator, I’m not saying it’s the best product out there tho, but that’s what I use. I’m sure all products work well just preferences. Great video Josh, I will try different products someday.
Awesome compare here ! I got some hybrid solutions a couple weeks back, have not had a chance to use it yet. Hoping this weekend... thank you for the compare and time here !! Best detail channel on YT :- )
The beading from the Hydroslick was probably from the polisher flinging however, once you have a solid coat on it then the excess starts to bead like jelly again. Me personally I don't use a DA for Hydroslick, just hand apply.
Seconded, I hand apply the Hydroslick and the Chemical Guys website actually says: "please do not apply Hydroslick with a DA, rotary, or any power tool." in the product FAQ's. I wish they would just put it on the bottle.
Another excellent review sir! I did have two questions for you… 1. How would you say these products compare to using something like TEC582? 2. How do you like the performance of the DeWalt DA polisher vs. something like a Rupes?
Hey Josh, I'm hooked. Great job explaining things. Do you have any suggestions on removing etching. The heat gun thing seems smart but I don't want to mess my paintjob. Thoughts and possible a video from you would be awesome.
Great video series idea. Well done. I saw a Chemical Guys video ref. their Hydroslick and they say do not apply with machine...apply by hand only. Maybe that's why you were seeing the hydrophobic activity at application. Take care.
Josh, here is the real test. After your done with the hood, put a bird feeder up in a tree and put the hood under the feeder! Give it a week or 2 then see how it does! Now that will be a big test! Like the video’s
I’m a professional detailer an I watch allot of videos like this but I still can not find a real world test. Where any product is tested to prevent corrosive paint damage from road salt, road construction oil, bird droppings, sticker and sign etching, bleeding plant leaves, car wash detergent spotting, bug splatter, silicone tire dressing splatter stains, parking garage chemical leaks, tree sap and road tar. I don’t know what else I’m missing that seen over the years that ruins paint that need to be wet sanded or repainted at the body shop. If these products can not be proven to hold up against the problems mentioned then they are not going really prevent real world problems vehicles will face.
It seems the best way to compare these would be to do a machine based application test and a hand based application test also to follow up. What if... let's just say chemical guys works terribly with the polish machine but maybe applied by hand its amazing. Or maybe the same or vice versa with the other products. Considering not everyone will use a machine or go the route by hand itd be cool to see how these products stack up against each other in a similar video comparison. By the way love the videos man
Which one of these do you recommend for a new car? Also, for a three year truck with some scratches. Truck is washed regularly and paint in good shape.
So my wife just took my recently ceramic coated black BMW through an automatic spinner wash. She thought it was touchless. Tried to do me a favor for my birthday. How screwed is the paint/coat?.
Meguirs says not to use it on glass (and then I presume also not on headlights). Any insight into why? Is it the inclusion of a wax in addition to a ceramic material?
It’s bc of the wax properties in the product, I’m general when waxing a car you tape off anything that is not clear coat/a car body surface. Bc when you let wax get on the plastic it can cause very bad fading and other damage that can be permanent. And with glass it just leaver a film residue like look on the whole thing and won’t actually work into the tighter grain patter that glass has since it’s so much harder. Hope that helps a little! Also a bonus you can however ceramic coat those surfaces so you can get like a small little bottle for those parts if you want. Like a spray on one not a legit ceramic.
has anyone tried the Nexgen Ceramic Spray. I mention it just because its supposed to be the highest concentration of SiO2.Don't know if that is good or bad
Hi there! I recently found your channel. Really enjoying the content. Trying to catch up on all your videos. I no longer subscribe to other car detailing channels. Appreciate the time you spend researching different products and I value your opinion. I’m a chick and I have enjoyed detailing cars since I was quite young. My Amazon cart is full and I keep adding as I’m watching a marathon of your videos. Thank you.
Good idea! Im planning to do a similar test with others in this category that i missed, then i could compare the winner from this to the winner from the next group!
I enjoy and watch all your product reviews Josh (but I do hate some of the crude ad's prompting me to leave ad blocker on but I dont) That said, it sure seems wax/polish/ paint protectant companies are creating a nonexistent problem then creating a product to sell that seems no better then good wax only more expensive LOL
@@AndreasSchwarzinger Relax man...It wasn't a slight on him. I was just curious how it measured up to the others and vice versa... I love this channel, and all the work he does. Thanks Josh.
Could have saved over half the video time if he just applied the wax by hand like a normal person. Took so much time changing the pads and explaining the application
Thanks for all the work you did for this comparison Josh. I always look forward to your videos.

Groits garage new ceramic all in one wax is 🔥
I'm really interested to see what people think of the new Blush formula Larry came out with but Ammo NYC products are a little rich for my tastes.

Another great video 👍🏻
Great informative video, Can’t wait for part 2.
Different subject... Can you do a video on how you currently set up your shop? Thnx.
Should try out Adam's ceramic coating wax
What up Josh. Can you please do a video of the best topper or paint sealant you believe are the best. With the highest gloss and slickness

Great video. Can we have a link for the DeWALT polisher?
you doing great bro
Great job
Any of this you can use using a spray paint gun like you use for chemical guys VRP?

Yo Josh any chance reviewing the Soft99 Fusso and Kiwami? Really intrigued with its 12-month long protection
What about these and chrome trim?
Josh you never texted the sonax Xtreme ceramic spray ?

Would you apply any of these on a ceramic coated car?
Do you know a brand that has colorful snow foam? I really want some
Would you put any one of these on a ceramic coa
What type of handheld light are you using to determine the effectiveness of correction?

No Griots 3 in 1 ?????
