Update 1.6 promises to be another milestone for AMS2. In its May dev update, Reiza not only announces many new car brands, of which Audi is only the first, but also further content relating to the IMSA license with new tracks such as Road Atlanta.
However, this does not mean that AMS2 should be ignored until the update is released. On the contrary. On the one hand, with the Stock Car Pro 2024 and Reiza's interpretation of the current F1 cars, the F-Ultimate Gen2, two popular car classes are already rolling with the newly calculated tires. And secondly, a number of mods have been released recently that enhance the gaming experience or make it more authentic.

If AMS2 has a multiplayer system like Iracing, this game would smash Iracing
agree, but also needs some attention to details... no flashing headlights, no tc1 tc2 in lmdh, steering wheel dashes on lmdh are very basic, you change tc, front arb, rear arb and you get no realistic indication in the dash like in iracing, needs a bit more tweaking in rain in vr, it absolutely destroys fps...
since youve made this comment its been confirmed that not just LFM but another online system are working directly with Reiza for future MP updates. This could be quite game changing for the online elements esp with LFM being such a big popular online ranking system, be interesting to see how it develops!
Brilliant video Timo, I passed this along to a couple friends who are on the edge of new sim racers, not with big kit but little budget wheels or even one on controller and we enjoy meeting once or twice every month to run some laps together in AMS 2 often just practice session and having this information presented so well is always nice to show them so we can try various bits and bobs. The JGTC is a superb mod, so much in one pack and immensely enjoyable. And then the GTO F40 and VRCs Chevrette are also superb. I’ve also just made the jump from Ultra-wide to VR and wow, the game performs flawlessly and effects like sunlight take on a whole new level.
Cannot wait to get off IRacing and play IMSA on AMS2

It doesn't? For me it has. Maybe try re-installing the mod via AMS2 Content Manager.

AutoMobilista 2 should've had both Multi Class Racing system like FIA WEC and Multiplayer offline and online systems like iRacing.
There are 2 Japanese tracks available at the PCM Team: Fuji and Sugo.
Most of those of course nice modded tracks are rather made for quick races, because the AI has severe problems with leaving the garage in qualifying. They crash into the wall and ruin their car, never enter the track (it is extreme in Fuji). So, when doing a championship, you gotta skip qualifying, because most of the AI drivers won't set a time. You also have to deactivate rules, because otherwise you always get warnings for leaving the track (without doing so).

Can you play f1 mod in multiplayer? (If friend also downloaded the mod)
I'm of the same opinion as you except for the JGTC mod which really has a broken physique, I prefer the Group5 mod from thunderflash.
Is the 1986 F1 mod installed via content manager? I just tried and it wont install through CM like my other mods
There are thousands of combinations in AMS2, have you all played the official content to the point of boredom? All the mods I've seen so far are far behind Reiza's own developments. At least in terms of physics and force feedback. It's like collecting marbles. The balls all look different but are almost the same. This Lego sandbox process actually turns an attempted simulation into just a MatchBox children's room. Since the simulation is far from complete, you end up with a collection of cars in different phases of development where no modder is working on them any further. Nope, I won't mod until Reiza has at least completed physics. There is enough content.
I am partly with you. I do enjoy some AMS2 mods but to be honest there are always worse physics wise compared to the vanilla content. I love the JGTC cars, but the physics feels very "basic" Not great at all
