    A lot of people mentioned the lack of gloves, so I won't mention that. However I will mention the ring on her finger.

      A single ring with no stones is appropriate

    My father is a 93 yr old and has been bed ridden for 3 years now but has developed a wounds on his left foot heel his skin is so sensitive it tears easily like paper so we have to be careful not to tape anything around his leg as he already have a tear on his foot we are taking care of due to his delicate skin. The heel wound is deep you can see his tendons and to the bone too, not enough blood flow to his legs is fast heal. The wound doctor told us to only apply wet cloth heavy with Iodine in directly in the open for now and apply Santyl ointment outside the wound at first. A week he was brought in this time the Dr perform some debride around the area. Dr recommendation this he was to be conservative and not make it any worst for him. So he sent us home with direction to apply a patch of collagen to help the skin built new skin and hopefully close the wound. Apply the Santyl directly in the wound this time. My dad is on anti biotics seem to prevent from any infection but is red around the wound. I also started to give him vitamins to support his immune system. We bring our dad every week by ambulance in a stretcher because can't walk his diagnose is rheumatoid arthritis and has take over his body which has been decline over the years. Family seeks 2nd opinion. Any advice from the Medical Community is welcome. We live in Texas. Thank You All.

    Why bother use forceps if u r using bare hands??? Just hold everything..sorry but this is not sterility... nice try though u get ' E' for Effort 👍

    • @ann-thurium6164
      @ann-thurium6164 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Tymara Miller my point is that her bare hands is WRONG.... she is coming into contact with body fluids therefore she needs a glove..I am sorry but this is NOT sterile procedure; this video should be taken down....

      it doesn't look that great either. There was no application of antibacterial or... anything. We're looking at something more than skin deep but... Just cleaning the wound and covering it is NOT enough to promote optimal healing.

    I don't understand the logic of your prepping....why did you start out with sterile supplies and then go with "clean hand" technique? I'm sorry, but it seems like you entire procedure for dressing changes is just silly or rather contradicting each process. Infection control would tell you right away to never do any wound dressings, coming in contact with any body fluids, etc., WITHOUT ANY GLOVES!!! I'm sorry, but your video should not be online. Very wrong of you to try and teach anyone wound care dressing changes.

    you should show how to do it with the patient laying on the side, not on the prone position which will never happen

    • @ActuatedGear
      @ActuatedGear ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it needs AT LEAST a whole leg here. Being able to pick the foot up ruins the training for movement when wrapping.
