Hey Kevin, I need your help. I want to install the new Weapon R headers and piping. It eliminates both cats. My question to you is if I run the stock Sport dual exhaust will I still get the rasp. I don’t know if you had the RV6 down pipe with the stock exhaust before you converted to the aftermarket exhaust or not but your feedback would be appreciated. The new Weapon R exhaust will eliminate both cats and will require a CEL eliminator. I am an ex drag racer and will be wrapping the downpipe to about where the second cat was to reduce under hood temperatures. If I have to have a resonator welded into the exhaust I will probably go with a borla. Thanks! Jeff
I've never hit VTEC in my CRV yet. It's the 2.4 awd cvt. TH-cam has me too scared about the cvt to use vtec unless it's absolutely necessary for safety. Like pulling out in front of a semi accidentally. The CVT has been holding me back from upgrading my crv, also.
Link for the rv6 midpipe please. I'm a little confused because when I go to the rv6 website it shows 1 that says for the sport only, and the. Another one that says for a sedan (axle exhausted required)
I have a 14 accord sport w 6 speed, what do you think the best mods are ......I want to keep my fuel economy and do t want it obnoxiously loud......I have a k and n filter now but would love some more HP if possible but can't find anything for earth dreams 2.4 mods on the web ......any direction would be helpful .....thank you !
I would suggest doing a exhaust upgrade. Usually intake and exhaust are done together. Good ones for your car would be: Takeda Axleback, Tsudo catback and borla

I have same vehicle 2014 Accord Sport 6MT. After PCD, Takeda SRI and KTUNER, I can definitely feel a difference in power. Not radical. According to others who dyno'd I'd estimate those changes altogether make a 20-30 HP difference. A lot of money for not much more HP. I run 91 octane with the KTUNER tune. I added an Acura TL rear sway bar as well, which curbed some of the under-steer the car had. My MPG has not gone down, it has gone up-- probably 1 MPG in avg tanks and I think this is due mostly to the PCD. My best tank was 41mpg highway, I never got over 38MPG prior to changes. Btw PCD causes rasp above 4K RPM. The SRI makes engine much louder under throttle. Under "normal" acceleration it is not much louder at all. I am going to add a resonator to tame the exhaust rasp. I suggest DriveAccord forum for info.
I just installed a Borla 11840 the other day and sounds great- drastic improvement in sound and acceleration. I would like to install a CAI in the car but California is pretty uptight about emissions taking the fun away.
i have the 2014 sport and went down this road, Sold everything but the K&N reusable air filter. All the mods except maybe for the kit because that's preference, is a waste. all thoses mods are useless because of the crappy CVT. it's just not made for anything but to save fuel and save Honda money. I will be trading my accord with the 2018 1.5 lt turbo sport 6 speed accord comes out next year. hope you enjoy your car and remember to take care of that CVT because it will fail driving hard with these mods.
Would you recommend doing all the mods on the 6MT? I have a 2017 Sport 6 speed, bone stock with 8K miles. I am pretty confident in Honda's reliability so I don't mind voiding my warranty to get modded but only if it makes sense.

Yes, It's reading to much emission. You can fix it by adjusting the o2 sensor. The detailed troubleshooting instructions would be on the installation instruction of the rv6 downpipe. I plan on just erasing it with ktuner because sometimes once in awhile it would come back.

From what I have read, though I have a 15 accord, the cvt we have can hold up to 250hp 💀 before anything actually bad starts happening.
Vtec is a normal operation of the engine, its perfectly fine
Was it a stock midpipe before installing the rv6 midpipe?
