Hunterborn was THE mod that made me switch to PC. Living out in the wilderness, hunting various animals throughout the day & spending the evening cooking food and making various items I would use for the next day. If Skyrim was a lot larger a playstyle like this would be amazing......well at least for me.
RaykanGhostFTW Don't worry about it fam, I'm planning to build a new pc soon anyways. Right now I'm using a shitty acer laptop so HD is out of the question, I use original with SKSE and about 200 mods, ENB's and such are of course also out of the question.
TheTrivek42 At first I had problems with CTDs, but I slowly learned what mods I could use and what I couldn't. I still deal with crashes from time to time, but now I can actually enjoy a playthru without having to quicksave.
Playing as a Bosmer, if you play using their heritage and religion of not killing/eating plants, this mod will make it possible. It makes it feasible to not take potions.
Screw you Brodual one minute I'm watching your vids and the next I have 60+ mods in my load order and I have several issues because I was too distracted and kept watching. Like seriously, who the heck covers interesting mods that make people want to download mods? What is your problem? Are you a good TH-camr or something? subbed
I use Hunterborn with Realistic Needs and Diseases 2.0 and works perfect. But it does come down to load order. RND has to load after Frostfall and Hunterborn in order for the foods to get the right buffs.
I use Hunterborn, Hunting in Skyrim, Realistic Needs, Frostfall and Campfire. Gotta watch the load order, but once you get it going, it feels awesome. I also use Nock-to-Tip and a couple other archery overhauls. Helps out with the hunting with a bow aspect.
yeah, i'm glad it's still an extra option if you really want to go that far. I myself can't use it since i use..."other" mods that also changes these animals in way or another.
It's a Standalone upgradeable Bow, the mod's caled "The Huntsman" and each Upgrade is hidden Somewhere in the World. (This means the Bow Alone isn't even better than the lowest tier bow. Both visually and damage wise.)
I think so as well. Has anyone else noticed Skyrim modding has been going through a bit of a renaissance since the release of Enderal? I think Brodual should increase his coverage of these awesome mods.
You know this mod is also great for rolplaying a Wood Elf character that follows the Green Pact along with the Bosmer Armor mod. Under the Green Pact Bosmer are expected to be totally carnivorous and insectivorous, use every part what they kill including people and not harm the plant life in any way. In Vallenwood they also make all of their weapons and armor out of bones and and animal hide. So this mods options to forge gear out of animal parts is very lore friendly, at least for Wood Elves.
Thank you so much for the video review! (This is TravLaney, author of Scrimshaw Expanded.) I've featured your video on my mod page, along with some of your amazing screenshots. Cheers!

Revisiting these mods again Doing a traditional wood elf playthrough as a follower of the green packed With Yffre and this mod is so perfect for it along with a few other Wild mods and cannibal mods
Damn. I've been following your channel for years now, and you've always delivered outstanding content. I'm not too keen on writing comments myself, but I must say, this video is on top of your game. Amazing editing and showcasing the mod. Congratulations. this being said, the mod could become a game in itself. It's crazy to see how far the Skyrim modding scene has gone in terms of quality.
Thanks so much for this - I really love Huntersborn in my original game and have yet to convert to SE, but haven't due to the fact that many of the existing mods are not upgraded for SE yet - this was

I'd love to see something like this complete with carrying animations in the next Fallout's survival mode(or an Elder Scrolls title with a survival mode).
I like how the skin is actually skinned now! But i already have the previous mod version and i am too scared to mess up my game. As always, thank you for your hard work and letting us know what all mods are a must have.
It's good to see Hunter born releasing updates despite Skyrim's age. Immersion mods such as Hunter born and frostfall value-adds Skyrim into a Survival simulator.
A Masters In what? For somebody with a masters, you sure are stupid wasting your time on Brodual Skyrim videos and telling an 18-year-old youngster that he would never amount to anything over youtube comments, whether you have a masters are not You are STILL Amazingly Stupid.
I get called stupid by a kid that wants to cure death????? LOL How ironic. Curing death ( if it was possible) would effectively lead the human race to extinction by way of over population. This would happen within a time frame of a few years or less. Have you though of this already?
I'm never totally sure about hunting, needs, and camping mods. When playing as a simpler or earlier game character, they're usually fine, but I tend to want to use them in a run where my character progresses and grows to, eventually, basically godlike power. Not *literally* a god, just insanely powerful. Yet, I kind of feel like there's not much to alleviate the effects these mods bring in the late game. So when I am decked out with fully enchanted super-smithed armour that can trivilialise the efforts of even the strongest demons or dragons, I'm still finding I'm struggling *a lot* from having not eaten or slept enough recently because I've been spending a lot of time in a plane of Oblivion somewhere. I guess what I would like is, for example, enchantments, spells, or something else integrated into these mods that can somewhat alleviate the effects of hunger, thirst, tiredness, cold, etc, so that if I really, REALLY put the effort into it, I can make myself a bit less-than-mortal in the late game, but still be mortal enough. For example, the earliest thing you could get for this is a spell that mimicks the effect of sleep but reduces your max Stamina and/or Magicka for 24 hours as a penalty, then later, enchantments on rings/amulets/etc. that can slow down the rate of these needs individually, then a rarer enchantment that slows down more than one at a time. Perhaps some rare, unique items that may or may not be disenchantable can simply negate these effects entirely. Obviously I have the option to get Vampirism, but I kinda feel like these would give a little more roleplaying flexibility. Not sure. Thoughts? Does anything like this exist?
Just saying that the tiny card lower left is great. Useful as fack, discrete, but still visible and well integrated. Dunno how many episodes it has been there, but it should be bound the stay.
Btw if you hunt down a mamoth you will be greeted with over 300 mamoth meat which each piece weighs 3. But you can get some nice gold out of it, if you can move to the next town.
Your vidz are always great !! Just a lil' question : can you in the futur, when you'll review mods available both on oldrim and SSE, explain differencies between both versions (without skse is it still a good mod ? What option(s) we can't have...). Anyway, thanx again for your great job and have a good day.
Nice review! might add this to my mod list. by the way, have you changed your visual setup? It looks great, and different/better than your latest video on your visual setup.
I absolutely love this mod sense i do a lot of Scrimshawing in real life it gives me a lot of inspiration for my upcoming projects when i make something in game. But what i had a idea on is to be able to make a unique club, armor and helmet after defeating karstaag. It sucks i am new to modding sense id ask if i could make content patches for it sense there is a ton of potential like weapons or weapon hilts with runes or magic symbols on them to give them buffs a sort of half way mark for enchanting but you would still be able to enchant it normally {I know it sounds OP} but the concept is the buffs wouldn't be anything strong till you mastered them and even still it only borders novice enchanting. But it's im tired when im typing this up and the ideas are everywhere so excuse me for not making much sense.
is there a mod out there which only removes the player token on the map, so that its like I'm carrying a map but i have to work out where i am. figure it will be more immersive than removing the map since they mention marking a map every so often for quests.
Hey brodual, I was waiting for more on your upcoming top 100 mods video list. I know it takes a lot of time to make videos. Are you still continuing it? I'm kinda starting a new game with mods and im kinda relying on your list. Lol.
I hope someone can help me. Whenever I die in skyrim or load a previous save, the mod configs that I customized reset to default every time I die or load a previous save. I don't know whats wrong or how to fix it. If someone could help me I would appreciate it lots. Thanks!

Shouldn't the ram limit be like 3.2G not 2G ? Also skse memory fix usually helps avoid many ctds.
Anyone remember what vanilla Skyrim was like? I don't...
"Or you want to rip the eyeballs out of a mother bear and her cub"
I don't know whether to laugh hysterically or say that someone here is fucked up.
Why not both (:

At least you can download the mods! I'm still on PS3.
This is actually a great mod. Can you combine it with Realistic Needs and Diseases? Because that would be really cool.
Yes, you can :D

Eric Selva You should add 28 days and a bit for a zombie survival experience
Badger 10 dude you just gave me the greatest idea
Wait wait wait, Hunterborn now has it so the animal you skin actually LOSES IT'S SKIN?!?!
The Redd Rewatch it. It said in the corner that the skinned animal texture was from Hunting in skyrim
The Redd EUGHHH
are you deaf
yeah, i'm glad it's still an extra option if you really want to go that far. I myself can't use it since i use..."other" mods that also changes these animals in way or another.
eue nasty critters?
Hunterborn + INeed + Frostfall = Fucking Immerive
English m8
Don't forget hunting in skyrim.
I LOL'ed at the hunting bow with optics, extended weight and arrow guide - it's more modern of a hunting weapon than a rifle would be.
It's a Standalone upgradeable Bow, the mod's caled "The Huntsman" and each Upgrade is hidden Somewhere in the World. (This means the Bow Alone isn't even better than the lowest tier bow. Both visually and damage wise.)
You're amazing, Brodual, thank you for keeping Skyrim alive.
You should upload more often
I think so as well. Has anyone else noticed Skyrim modding has been going through a bit of a renaissance since the release of Enderal?
I think Brodual should increase his coverage of these awesome mods.
Takes a while to make a video like this I assume.
I think it just has to do with fatigue. Skyrim is six years old. It's getting to be a bit of a bore. He'd probably be more active if FO4 was good...
No, LEMMINO/formerly known as a Top10Memes should upload more often!
At least upload 3 or 5 videos per month instead of 1 (:
Sean Thompson it's almost like you're implying Fallout 4 wasn't a mastuhpiece in comparison to Skyrim :v
By the gods, Brodual uploaded
The mods available only get better with age. Things like this I sincerely hope make it into the base game of TES:6
LMAO that Khal Drogo at the end was epic!

Brodual is one of my favourite channels on TH-cam.
I never miss any of their videos !
I shall install those surviving mods and have a playtrough in which I never enter a city.
This was my favorite mod when I had my PC. It's amazing how much better it has gotten.

hello and welcome to brodual, i really like the opening :)
Dude, I have been looking for a mod like this for years. That alone deserves a subscribe, thank you so much!
What happened to realistic needs and diseases?
What do you mean?
It seems to have disappeared
Well, the author retired last year, if I remember right, after releasing some of his mods as frameworks. Most players tend to use iNeed though.
its very similiar to INEED a ''new'' mod with the same stuff
It got sepsis and died of hunger
Revisiting these mods again Doing a traditional wood elf playthrough as a follower of the green packed With Yffre and this mod is so perfect for it along with a few other Wild mods and cannibal mods
I love That you listened and added the 'this mod is available for'
Brodual has the smoothest voice ever it's really relaxing
have*, there's two of them (brothers)
Does anyone else watch brodual's new videos 20k times waiting for the next?
Wow, it really makes me want to play as a hunter! Great video and thanks for the update on this mod!
you should do a video on complete alchemy and crafting overhaul, I love that mod
That mother bear and her cub part was extremely brutal.
Maybe was good for the cub, it was looking rather anorexic and starving to death anyways.
Nahh

31 armors from skrimshaw? basically turns the game into monster hunter fucking RAAAAADDDDDD
Love the new style of your videoes! Keep up the great work!
Very immersive thank you brodual for this detailed review

We covered it here - th-cam.com/video/H7hEmgK0umc/w-d-xo.html :)

I know. Autocorrect messed it up.
Ethan Worner no no not that. you want to be a cannibal for *roleplay* ... sure...
Ethan Worner and sorry for the confusion haha

I can't believe you actually ripped their eyes out
What visual improvement mods are you using in this video? It looks phenomenal while not very demanding
Quick question: Will you do a video about Enderal in the future, since the music of it plays in most of the recent mod showcases.
2:02 Gyarados is that you?
Are you still doing the top 100 series?
Anyone know if there's a mod that keeps the map but removes your player marker from it
