Lukas is such a magnificent vocalist. Really love how he puts emotions into his vocals, especially on the later songs on the album. He has a one take vocal playthrough of their song “Symphony Of A Dying Star”, very beautiful and shows how he’s capable of doing his vocals in a live setting
Yesssss more of this!!! This is great. Maybe I'm missing them but i haven't seen too many isolated harsh vocals, and your in depth descriptions really help put focus on all those lil intricacies
Just a few weeks before the first single dropped I was at a small show here in Germany where a band called suneater headlined after the band of a friend of mine. I remember being extremely impressed by their vocalist as soon as he started warming up, spitting these insane sounds while walking around whole body completely relaxed. The show was insane. Imagine my surprise when the new mental cruelty dropped and that new singer looked very familiar 😂 Love his voice and the new mental cruelty album slaps hard
I mean we kinda can compare them to Lorna but for me their sound is much different, They are more athmospheric and blackened and thats why I love them.
The whisper is how I played around for a while. Then while playing with my dog I started growling and I was like “oh, that’s how you make these sounds”. The placement are sense from all the whisper practice. Still have lots to play and practice with but having fun…and staying safe! Thanks for your videos!
I'm so glad you are enjoying your journey of these types of vocals I remember when I first heard these types I was fascinated and where I am now about a year and a half into learning I am so impressed with people like Will and Lucas, knowing enough to know how much I don't know
I just saw u did a video on this! This new mental cruelty album is insane, would love to hear you do more of deathcore! Very interesting and cool things they do vocally!!
Anyone who thinks metal singers are just screaming nonsense, should watch your video. They’ll realize that they are very fine tuned techniques that not everyone can achieve! First time I come across your videos and this is a great one 👍🏼👍🏼
I saw Cradle of Filth this week in Karlsruhe, Germany. Did not know anything about the support bandMental Cruelty and that they are from Karlsruhe, my hometown. Our metal scene has always been quite lame. These guys came on stage and annihilated the place! I was blown away. The vocalist was the most impressive and energetic as hell.
Is there a video with Will Ramos that shows the difference between what the growls and goblins sound like with a clean input VS the studio package(the small bits of distortion/reverb/etc.)? I'm sure it's part of the course, I just couldnt find it super quickly. I've been a vocalist for years, so its hard to know where to jump in lol
I read somewhere in another video that the clean vocals are done by another member of the band, guitarist Nahuel Lozano, but I dunno if thats true. He isnt listed as vocals anywhere, so take that with a grain of salt.
@@WHOREHAMMER_OFFICIAL though I disagree somewhat (I like Will slightly more) but even though CJ did some questionable things I gotta admit that man had some pipes ong ✊
hi man tnx for you great free videos your great its been a couple of years since i started singing i can hit high notes like c5 or D5 if i support my voice how ever my voice sounds like it doest have that ringing or buzzing or that resonance quality its does not sound good at all and it is absoulotly unplesent in the upper part(above f#4 do you have any suggerstion or tip for me?

I LOVE their song Nordlys, I haven't heard such a great combination of deathcore and black metal before, even in bands like Lorna Shore
Deathcore is one hell of a genre
Wait til you hear devin from worm shepherd. Him and uncle will Ramos are my top 2 in the game

Ya, I haven't come across many of these either... which is why I was SO excited to be able to do this! I got these directly from the band!
Their new album is insanely good

Awesome! Loving Zwielicht and Lucas' vocals. Excited for more mental cruelty on your channel!

Don’t for get folk metal too
Also MC’s writing is way more dynamic, they play a lot with tempos and little flairs, Lorna feels like it’s just stuck in blasbeats, breakdown, solo
Finally someono who said it

What an amazing vocalist, just WOW…
17:10 the way he sings "light" reminds me of Disturbed. Sounds so good.
Recently stumbled upon Mental Cruelty and can't get enough. Vocalist is one of my favs
Saw them live in Bristol and he was so good. Hats off to the dude
I love watching you learn this stuff! The best teachers are also students. Amazing watching your channel go on this journey.
My #1 vocal inspiration. Favorite vocalist probably or at least top 3
The chorus, as well as on A Hill To Die Upon, are done by Nahuel Lozano, the band's lead guitarrist.
I'm so glad you are enjoying your journey of these types of vocals I remember when I first heard these types I was fascinated and where I am now about a year and a half into learning I am so impressed with people like Will and Lucas, knowing enough to know how much I don't know
Amazing !! What talent. Going to listen to full album now!
I discover with the beautiful piece symphony of dying star ! I'm going to listen the full EP AND THE ALBUM
Sounds like a very good vocalist. Jack of all voices! I appreciate the amount of work it takes to get to that level.
That really is impressive, props to them!
That ist so much fun to watch. Thanks ❤
I just met Lukas and he gave me a free patch. Such a cool dude

Twistting that tongue!!!
I asked Lukas during the album releasing live who does the cleans and he said its the guitarist Nahuel.
Nice and interesting Vid. Thx! Greetings from Germany! 💀🤘🏻
would love to see you react to anything with Dickie Allen..his vocals are at the top of the food chain

Love the album
lukas is absolutely insane and im so glad mental cruelty picked him up
Yeah he is very good I would recommend exodus from brand of sacrifice because Kyle is insane
Mental Cruelty are awesome. You should do a video with Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation
I read/saw somewhere that the clean/mid-clean part was not performed by Lukas but by one of the guitarists. Still, awesome job !
You have to listen to Slice the Cake. Some of the techniques Lucas is using are directly from the singer from Slice the Cake.
PLEASE try to reach out and get Guillame Villeneuve from Beyond Deviation, his “kettle” screams are MIND BLOWING!
Same goes for the Nylist singer
I am simple whamen.
I see Will Ramos' name mentioned, I press like. 💖
I love the black metal cadence so much. So exaggerated for maximum brutality.

Yes! We have a “how will gets his sounds” module in the course! :)

It’s fine I just keep realizing my like full emotion from thus is pain. Yes I share, Mm. Mm all around.
LETSGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Am I the only one who thinks Lucas sounds EXACTLY like CJ McCreery?! 😳🤯😱
Nailed it ! There is definitely a heavy tonal similarity.
Agree
Totally CJ style of tunnels
Honestly, cj > will
@@WHOREHAMMER_OFFICIAL though I disagree somewhat (I like Will slightly more) but even though CJ did some questionable things I gotta admit that man had some pipes ong ✊
Mental cruelty is sick.
Falling In Reverse Last Resort
Year 2 of asking for Landon Tewers lol

what song was this?
Comment for da algorithm
Streak count: 235
I believe the cleaner portion is sung by the guitarist.
Can we redo Lorna Shore. I know how to feel like one of their Satanic wives just yea.
