Quite sure RBR did NOT have FIA wrc license. Only car manufacturers license and Ruchards burns of course.
There is also an environment license for all rallies so I suppose I mixed it all together in my head during script writing. Source www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showthread.php?29725-Richard-Burns-Rally-Ultimate-Rally-Sim
This is the only game that accurately displays gravel and snow. Nothing else even comes close.
Tarmac feels pretty good too
@@PlumBoss84 its pretty close but theres alot of games that do tarmac well
Let's just appreciate how it's such an all-rounder with actually good representation of all surfaces.
I found it very accuraretly on tarmac. I think DiRT did a good job on gravel
Thanks for capturing the interesting history of this game and its developers (and Richard Burns, of course). Given what you describe, I guess it is not remarkable that not a single rally game since RBR has even tried to make any serious attempt at realism and all have stuck closely to the console/arcade/hovercraft physics model (including the latest WRC from EA). I guess every developer is spooked by what happened to Warthog and despite all the dedicated fans of RBR, they collectively represent a tiny fraction of the arcade racer market that provides the profit margin for new games. A sad state of affairs for those of us who love rally and prefer something authentic or realistic. At least the new EA WRC game has authentic stages...too bad about the physics.
Nothing will ever eclipse RBR! Thank you out to all the dedicated modders!
Nice video, made me kinda nostalgic. Thanks for all the feels and keep up the good work!
Thank you very much I will be releasing a new rally video this week.😀
love this video, great job.
Thanks!!!
Sadly i cannont find a cheap copy of this but i know that the modfing community is incredible for this
The game is Abandonware meaning that the developers and publishers are no longer making any profits from the game. so it can be considered ethical to download one of the plugins for example RBR Hungarian plugin. the plugin does not require you to have the original game only requires you to download and install the plugin. There are more plugins but the www.rallysimfans.hu/rbr/download.php?download=rsfrbr
is currently the best
@@FortySeventhGear yoooo you are goated for that tysm I'm giving this a go after playing assetto corsa for so Long
RallySimFans is definitely the way to go, they’ve moved the game on so much and the majority of the modding community are behind their vision.
Torrent bro
You can find it online easily (torrent, etc.)
I used a CD on mine while back though
Do you know of a way to get that on a handheld console, other than the Gizmondo? I'd like to put one in my bugeye wrx.
As far as I know, it was not released on any other types of handhelds. The closest I know is Collin mcrae rally which was released on Android phones. The only other way would be streaming the game from PC to a handheld or Phone .
Or you could buy a handheld with Windows on it, creating a little PC.
That is all I can think of.
Awesome! Thanks! @@FortySeventhGear
The way you talk
like this
where you keep
stopping
after every few words
is just getting
annoying
and honestly
it made this very hard to watch
to the end
even though the content is
fine
it's just so
annoying
so please
talk properly
in full sentences
instead of stopping
every few words
for no reason
and this wont be so
annoying
to listen to
thank you
Thanks for feedback this is an issue I have been working on since the first video.
I hope you will stick around to perhaps see the improvement in the near future
@@FortySeventhGear Best of luck! Try practising by saying whole sentences, only pausing for commas and periods (full stops).
