Such a great band. Try “My Last Serenade” when Jesse Leach was the original singer. This song features Howard Jones with the vocals.

Love this song. Not a huge fan of all their music, but when they have a good song, it’s super good. Check out Always by them….one of most beautiful songs. The lyrics are amazing.

Well, it's probably testament to how much I've come to enjoy your reactions and reviews that I'll sometimes listen to things like this that never will make one of my playlists. In fact, I'll never listen to this again -- but I learned a couple of things, and at least I'm broadening my horizons!

So y'all definitely should have started with the single/video version. 😂 I mean, I'm glad you love this version - and, indeed, this is actually one of your few no-pause videos - but I actually much prefer the single/video version, which I do believe to be superior to this original, full-length album version.
Howard Jones was the second, and, in my opinion, better singer for Killswitch Engage. For his own personal reasons, he had to drop-out of the band after 9 years of incredible service, after which time they recalled their original lead singer, Jesse Leach. Jesse Leach is good, but Howard Jones is absolutely fucking phenomenal.
One of the relatively few Black Metal singers (especially at that time) around, Howard has inspired an entire new generation of Black Metal vocalists. An incredible screamer as well as a clean singer, this man could do both better than anyone else in the Metalcore genre. This is why he was and is so respected in the industry. He showed so many that Metal isn't just for White guys. As a Gay White Jewish Metalhead, I am so proud of Howard Jones and the amazing place he has in the history of Metal music. 🤘🏻🐻🤘🏻
I would say the next time you guys have Ty back on, y'all should do the single/video version of "The End Of Heartache." I do think it is the better version, and has more clean singing than screaming which I think really serves the song better. You should also definitely do "My Curse" and their incredible cover of Dio's "Holy Diver" (after, of course, reacting to the original).
This band is so talented that they were the very first, and I think they remain, the ONLY Metalcore band to score 2 Gold albums in a row. They are one of those Metalcore bands for people who normally don't like Metalcore.
Other MetalCore bands/songs that y'all should react to are:
*Atreyu:* "Bleeding Mascara," "The Theft," "Shameful," "Exs And Oh's," and the best song they ever did, the incredible "Becoming The Bull."
*Avenged Sevenfold:* "Bat City," "Seize The Day," "Almost Easy," "Scream," "Buried Alive" and "Nightmare."
*Bullet For My Valentine:* "Tears Don't Fall," "All These Things I Hate," "Your Betrayal" and "Waking The Demon."
Other great Metal bands/songs with a Black lead singer or totally Black members:
*Living Colour:* "Cult Of Personality," "Open Letter (To A Landlord)," "Type," "Love Rears Its Ugly Head," and "Elvis Is Dead."
*Fishbone:* "Fight The Youth," "Everyday Sunshine" and "Sunless Saturday."
    *Sevendust:* "Black," "Praise" and "Enemy."
I know this was a book-long comment, but PLEASE take my advice and check all these other great bands and songs out!! ☮️ PEACE!!

The growling/screaming is not for me. However, I like the guitar and drums. I am fairly certain that I am not in their target audience so they should not give-a-sh%% what I think. We all have different tastes, and that makes for a more interesting world.

why don't you try another Qreensryche song. "Silent lucidity" it is a little different from their other song. The video is good also.

So there are a lot of aspects I like! There was a lot of in and out of the melody. There was also in and out of the growls. Sorry I never will be good with the growls... Not playlist but compared to other contemporary metal, there were a lot of good parts! His voice was good. At one point it reminded me of Violent Pornography when he sang. Not going to seek again but not terrible! 😂

Ignorant clowns. This song is 23 years old. Killswitch laid the groundwork for metalcore nearly 30 years ago. They are one of the most acclaimed and respected metal bands in history. They toured on every continent except Antarctica. They have sold almost 5 million albums and singles. They have co-headlined major tours and major festivals around the world. The vocalist Howard Jones is voted the #4 greatest metal vocalists. The guitarist Adam D. is voted the #11 metal guitar player of all time. The band is voted #5 modern metal bands. Go listen to your Beyonce playlist and make yourself useful.
