I am so glad I ran across your you tube channel; I have been looking for someone to explain print and cut and anything to do with a Cricut . You take your time and explain the steps to where anyone can learn.. Thank You
I cannot believe I have not heard of heat transfer paper. The time, effort, cursing, tears, etc.. this will save me is priceless!!! I feel so dumb but I’ve just never heard of it.
Hello from Sunny South Africa! Thank you so much for your super tutorial. I’ve subscribed to your channel and looking forward to learning more from you.
Great job at explaining the heat transfer paper. I had a hard time finding a video on the small pieaces to keep together on my project and you did a great job at explaining it!
I can’t believe I’m just now finding you!!!! 😭 I’ve messed up so many shirts & projects trying to follow other videos. I love how clearly you explained every single step. I finally have a nice shirt 😂 thank you sm! 💕🙏🏼
I’m just getting started and this has been the most informative video yet! ❤️it & thank you! Hopefully I can get in gear and start making things! I’m typically just a wreath maker but I want to make shirts for myself too. You just can’t find these designs in stores really & you get to customize it for yourself.
Thank you so much I have been struggling and that video helped me out so much. In case you were wondering the two things that I was struggling with so much with what printer to use and what paper to use so thank you so much I was at a brick wall wasn't getting anywhere no matter how many TH-cam I watched so thank you thank you thank you
Geez! I bought an ecotank 2800 over a year ago. It's still in the og box 😂😂 I think I've finally found the perfect tutorial! Literally step by step, thank you!
Thank you so much for talking about the heat transfer sheets. I was just looking for info. on what was safe to use with the mug press. Off to find the Heat transfer sheets.
Thank you for this! As a new Cricut user, I've been trying to find information about what to print my design on (in my printer) and until I found this, I could not find any information. Thank you for speaking to me as a beginner! I finally feel a bit more comfortable tackling a t-shirt!
Thank you so much this means a lot to people like us that just clueless Everyone don’t take time to explain I mean I needed help with everything. The format. Thank you
This is by far the best video I've watched, and trust me, I've been watching a lot. Lol. Now I feel confident enough to use the print then cut method. I am definitely subscribing to your channel!
Oh my gosh thank you so much for making this video. This sweatshirt is gorgeous! I'm very new to the cricut/vinyl world and your videos are by far the most informative. You make it easy to understand. I have to say your t-shirt "BOSS babe" is accurate! 😁
Great video. You are a natural born teacher. Thank you so much for sharing. I have a few quick questions if I wanted to add color to the face of the print how would I go about doing that? Also can I not print sublimations on an ink jet printer?
In order to edit colors, you would need an a layered image like an SVG file. No, sublimation ink is totally different from inkjet ink so they require different printers.
@@DIYAlex I NEEEED this svg! Downloaded a "free" one yesterday and it won't cut. I haven't gotten my printer up and running yet, may not even run at all. I just got my air 2 a few days ago. Loving learning everything so far but where the best website to get svg's for free? I'm not working right now so hopefully this will bring in some income at some point.
I love your videos! Do you use the ink that comes with the printer or do to use a different one? I’m wanting to start using printable vinyl but I’m very nervous and have no idea where to start.
Inwas going to ask the same think I have a Epson ET-3850 and it uses the same ink as the one you used in this video. Thank you for answering this question
I have always been confused by two things: Does it matter if you use a laser printer or a inkjet which is better? Also how does the ink not wash away if you use an inkjet?
It only matters what the material is compatible with. You can use either printer type depending on the material. The product is made to be washed and worn.
I’m glad you mentioned the type of printer you have for print then cut. What did you go based off to choose a good printer I wanted to invest in one and don’t know what to look for
I really like Epson printers in general. I have always had good luck with that brand, so that's what I stick with. I like the Epson Eco tanks because they are very ink efficient, so they save you from buying tons of ink! Any Epson Ecotank model will work great for print then cut projects.
Alex you always explain each step clearly for us "newbie" Cricut users. One question, if you decide not to use the transfer mask, would you use parchment paper over the printable vinyl then apply the heat? Thanks
I don’t! But that’s a good idea. You can use any inkjet home printer. There’s no special setup to do print then cut besides connecting the printer to your device via USB or WiFi.
Best tutorial ever! Just one question, do I use the ink that comes with the ecotank? I have the 2800 if that makes a different? OR a completely different ink? If so, which ink? TIA
In this case, yes, you use the ink that comes with the ecotank! I know it's confusing because some people convert their ecotanks for sublimation, but that's not necessary for projects like this.
I do sublimation but of course wanting to transfer onto dark or cotton material I decided to get the cricket maker 3 a couple of weeks ago. I have watched lots of videos since I got it and your videos by far are the best! So easy to follow, great speaking voice for videos, very thorough and at the same time not boring at all. Thanks so much! Using this machine is now so much clearer! 👍🏻 I will definitely subscribe 😀
Thank you so much love you tutorial … I learn something new I’ve been learning & using my cricut for a couple of yrs now & you taught me something NEW today ~>>>calibration!!!

What printer do you have?
Bullseye! TURN THE BLEED it ON, not off! After 400 videos, this is the one I was looking for. Many thanks!
I've been watching & listening to so many cricut video's about HTV's and this is by far the most helpful I've found. Thank you so much :)
You're welcome!
You have a great screen presence Alex - so clear and practical. You are one of the few TH-camrs who makes it about the audience
Thank you so much! ☺️ I try to think of you first!
@@DIYAlexcan I do this with “Iron-on” Vynol in my printer?
No, it has to be printable HTV/ iron on. It won’t work with regular iron on.
@@DIYAlex Thank you. What should I put in between the shirt design and heat press while pressing it onto the shirt?
Finally a visibly thorough video of the transfer sheet process!! Thank you so much!!
You’re welcome!!
You are by far my favorite when it comes to learning about cricut and htv! Thank you so much for taking your time and CLEARLY explaining every step!

Totally agree - the best I’ve seen

I cannot believe I have not heard of heat transfer paper. The time, effort, cursing, tears, etc.. this will save me is priceless!!! I feel so dumb but I’ve just never heard of it.
It’s not dumb! You don’t know what you don’t know. Plus, it’s not the best solution every time. It really depends on the project!
Hello from Sunny South Africa! Thank you so much for your super tutorial. I’ve subscribed to your channel and looking forward to learning more from you.

Thank you so much for talking about the heat transfer sheets. I was just looking for info. on what was safe to use with the mug press. Off to find the Heat transfer sheets.
Heat transfer sheets are not made to go on hard surfaces like mugs. They are meant for fabric projects.

Great tutorial. I was thinking the same question. I thought you might have mentioned a sublimation printer and I'm glad you answered that question

This is regular inkjet ink.

Your video is so clear. Not a lot of chitter chatter
My edited videos are straight to the point! My live videos are not 🤣 but they sure are fun!
Is it more economical to do screen print rather than vinyl
I love your videos! Do you use the ink that comes with the printer or do to use a different one? I’m wanting to start using printable vinyl but I’m very nervous and have no idea where to start.
You use the inkjet ink that came with your printer. This is not sublimation.
Inwas going to ask the same think I have a Epson ET-3850 and it uses the same ink as the one you used in this video. Thank you for answering this question
I always wanted to know how to use the machine and make my own designs. Thanks for these videos

It washes great! Very durable!

What recommendations do you have for vinyl and printed transfers? For a printer and a cricket? Thank I have enjoyed your videos
My favorite printable HTV is what I’m using here, Starcraft Printable Transfers for dark materials. It’s linked in the video’s description!
Hello, I loved your video. Thank you for the share. Take care.
Thanks for watching!
So thankful I found this video!! I have never done print and cut, so I forgot about calibrating. I learned a lot. Thank you 😊
I am glad it was able to help you!!
Love this video!!! Thank you😇 just a quick question though, do I need a Wide format prints printer to work with printable HTV? Thank you
No you can use a regular printer.
I really love this tutorial. It was simple and easy to understand. Thank you for that.
You’re welcome! 😊
You did an amazing job explaining this process! Thank you!

I'm so glad it's helpful! Yes, parchment paper would be a great idea over the HTV.
Great video. Can't wait to try print then cut.
Love this video, but very confused on wich print I have to use 😢 like the sublimation can use any paper or only sublimation paper?
This is not sublimation or using a sublimation printer. This is an inkjet printer.
Do you have a video about the type of printer you are using and how to get it set up properly to do this?
I don’t! But that’s a good idea. You can use any inkjet home printer. There’s no special setup to do print then cut besides connecting the printer to your device via USB or WiFi.
This was very informative. Thank you. I needed the print and cut part 🙂
