Nah nah nah. Don’t feel inadequate. Be excited knowing that whatever Flycat is doing, you’re now going to be able to study and add some new techniques to your own workflow. Maybe you’ll even learn a certain way that truly gels with how you think.

He has got talent for modelling. That's it!
If not, even learning a lot, you only can do good modelling, not great and creative modelling.
However, everybody has got talent for something. Just explore your talent, what it is.

4:17 Does the white rectangle allow you to retopologise the model ? Does it come from Quad remesh ?
It’s the quad remesh. You can activate it in sculpt mode with ctrl+r. I think you’re able to activate the rectangle with alt+r.
It allows you to get more or less geometry for you mesh for sculpting. Usually it’s used for more so you can get more detail.
I wouldn’t recommend using it for retopology though. I’ve tried.

Flycat models a base mesh in 10 seconds. Me after fiddling for 3 hours comes up with a potato 🤣🤣

@@kangtheconqueror8359 yeah 0.25x be the speed then note down the modeling hacks and topology hacks. If can't get hang of anything, I replay it couple of times.

Actually there is. I forget the exact process but I believe Luwiz Art here on TH-cam has a tutorial on exactly that.

Oh man I forgot this technique existed!
Ok so he’s adding individual hair strands but he’s adding child hair particles around each strand so that it fills out the rest of the hair.
This is why you see him doing one section of hair at first; he’s getting the shape for all the rest of the hair clumps to follow.
