    I've had my Cub Cadet 22 HP twin Kohler engine 7000 for 4 years now. I can't say anything negative about it. It's a great mower for the price, The warranty is one of the best or is the best. I change my oil and filter every winter as I do take care of my lawn equip.Yoy take care ot the mower, the mower will take care of you.I follow the manual for maint. You can't go wrong buying a CUB CADET.

      I like the CC over the other major brands. Best economy lawn tractor on the market.

    Just bought a Cub Cadet XT2 42 inch cut, love it! Runs smooth, cuts great, lots of power and just feels comfortable.

    I bought the 2018 XT2 LX46 FAB SE that has the fuel injected 679 cc motor last year and it’s a great machine. I pull a trailer, used a snow blade and tire chains last winter, and switched it over to the mulch kit. Honestly these machines make mowing fun, I wish I had more lawns to mow.

      I just brought a 2nd hand 2020 version of this the big disappointment is that because of the fabricated deck and the low profile tyres the maximum cut height is 3" when set to 4".

      @stevej513 how's it going? I don't know why you'd want 4 inch cut but each to their own.

    I'm in the market to buy a riding mower and have started doing my research to find the best one for my needs. Thanks for this awesome review! I'm leaning towards the XT2 with the additional features and reduced long term maintenance. Thanks for a review worthy of my time as I figure out what features I want/need and can live without.

      Ive had my XT2 with 42 inch deck since Spring of 2015. Great residential mower IMO. I live in Texas so I mow from mid-March - Md November and through most of those months, it's twice a week. And it has plenty of power to chop up the tons of the oak leaves that I have to mow up every January. No bogging down like my old one would. ive got about 110 hours on it now. It takes me about 30 minutes to mow 1/2 acre of regular lawn. And this mower is very comfy too. Plenty of leg room and a nice seat. It also steers easy and has a fairly tight turn radius, which is nice. As far as mowers go, it isn't as loud as lots of others Ive had either. It starts every time and the automatic transmission is awesome. I did have to replace the battery last year, but other than that no other problems. I'm very happy with by mower.

    The problem I have with my XT2 LX42 model is that the anti-scalp wheels cannot be adjusted to prevent scalping when I am cutting anywhere between 3 to 4 inch deck height. Everything is properly leveled on the machine but the anti-scalp wheels cannot be adjusted per the owner's manual. This seems to be a design issue especially if you have an incline or any ruts in the lawn.

      Interesting. I can't say it's ever been a problem for me. My cut grass looks very even when I'm finished, and my yard is somewhat bumpy.

    I purchased the same mower in July of 2018 . Its had to have the accelerator cable replaced at 50 hours and at roughly 100 hours the deck belt broke. Today, the accelerator cable broke again. I'm wondering if I got a dud. The mower only has 156 hours on it.

    • @TheFlatlander440
      @TheFlatlander440 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. I have the 2016 XT2 54" Fab Deck with 225 hours on it and my throttle cable broke last Winter blowing snow however, it was a really easy fix provided you order the correct part for the right length. Since it was past the 3 year warranty I easily fixed it myself. The only other problem I have is the transmission belt stretching out due to my 30% graded 4 acre yard I mow. I have to have it replaced every two years and it's not cheap as I have to have the dealer repair it. I'm looking to upgrade to a compact 4 X 4 Kubota or John Deere tractor next Spring with a 60" deck and front loader. I'll still keep the XT2 for snowblowing as it's a beast in that mode.

    I just bought the XT2 46" and it appears that the right tire spins only. Can you tell me if these tractors are one or two wheel drive? I'm disappointed because I can't go up the slightest hill unless I tackle it straight on when it's dry. I'm going to have to level my 1.5 acre land so I don't have trouble mowing it. I could have bought a John Deere that has stock two wheel drive.

    • @aarons345
      @aarons345 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Most lawn mowers are two wheel drive and yours is two wheel drive, that is not the issue. One wheel spinning is the result of what is called an open differential. The wheel which has the least amount of traction will always spin. You need what is called a locking differential which comes on the upper level trims of the cub cadet XT2 series or XT3 series. There is going to be a foot pedal pressed with your left heel which would lock the differential.

    • @theowenshow7
      @theowenshow7 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aarons345 Ok, thank you! I couldn't find any information on how the Cub Cadet differential works but others also thought it was one wheel drive. I wonder if there are any tricks or hacks to add a locking diff since I already bought this model. Other than that, I love it but had to buy more blades for cutting the lawn vs weeds. The weeds and dirt and debris really dulled out my original blades. I was supposed to get the Quick Attach blades with this model too but it appears Cub Cadet customers had too many problems with them so they reverted back to the lug nut.

    • @aarons345
      @aarons345 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately no there is it a way you can modify or change it. You would have to modify (take out and install) the trans with the old differential and install one that had a locking differential. The XT2 GT54 D has the locking differential.

    Made a big mistake + bought a 2015 cub cadet riding lawn mower. I noticed after mowing around trees + buildings with sharp turns the front tires were tearing up the sod. Didn't matter whether I went slower still same problem. Had the cub cadet dealer out + he didn't know. We also have a 1979 cub cadet never tears up the yard in tight circles. I parked it next to my new cub cadet with front tires turned all the way to the right. Both tractors turned same direction. I noticed the angle of the old one was very different from the new one that tore up the sod in tight circle. BINGO !! One tire compared to the other turned sharper or less !! Wonder if anyone else has this same problem ?????

    • @happyamerican3235
      @happyamerican3235 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Had the same problem. Newer mowers turn tighter and I think the tire tread design has something to do with it too. I have to slow down in the turns if the ground is soft.

Nothing better to do than show everyone how dumb he is. Just goes to show you everyone on here was right he really is stupid. Nothing better to do than complain about some thing .
