Thanks! Just did this myself today. I just broke off the tabs on the originals because it was easier and they don't really do much. Took one of the screws and went to the hardware store and bought 18 screws close to it, paid 3.50 and DONE! Then got rid of the seat switch problem. Appreciate the video!
After 11 years my Cub LTX 1042 gave up the ghost. After during some research, I decided to stick with Cub and picked up the XT2 42” tractor. Apparently I didn’t do enough research because I didn’t realize that Cub did away with both the side grab handles and the rear deck wheels. Hopefully I can live without the wheels, but I really need those handles. Especially the LH side. After watching your video, I ordered the parts for the left side. They showed up a couple days ago and I just installed them. Perfect. My tractor has the dual levers on the right fender so I can’t use the RH kit that you showed in your video. But that’s okay. Thanks for posting this video.
Awesome. So glad I found your video. I got the Craftsman/MTD T210, and the only difference between your cub and my Craftsman is the color and the hood. And I been wanting to do the same thing to mine. Now I now what to look for, I'll be making a purchase shortly.
I'm glad I found your video on adding the handles to our XT2's, I recently purchased my 2021 Cub Cadet XT2 LX46 but with a fabricated deck and a Kawasaki 21.5 HP engine, with some of my slopes in the yard without the handles I found my self sliding on the seat and at times the PTO would shut down due to the safety switch in the seat. Your video gave me all of the info I needed to improve my mowing experience. The only thing I noticed was that after the install the parts fit to the body like a glove except at the very front end by my legs, there it pulled away a fraction of an inch on both sides and I thought it might be a mfg. defect but I believe I saw the same gap at the tip end on yours also as you were videoing the completed project... Thanks again for the great video!
Do any of yall mulch with yours that have the fabricated deck? My old cub cadet ltx1040 is on its last leg and I'm wanting to get a new mower before next season. I'm all in at about $3200 I've narrowed it down to this xt2lx46 or a john deere s220. The cub has the better transmission and an electric pto,but the john deere has the accel deep deck which gives excellent mulching results. Both offer good warranties and use about the same tires, weigh about the same, etc. I mow some residential properties for folks that live out of town and they all like their lawns mulched and it makes it easier on me not having to blow off their sidewalks and driveways. Cant really find any videos of this mower mulching.
@@ciphercode2298 Can't speak about the mulching since I'm still waiting for most of my leaves from my large oak tree to fall but I can speak to owning my 2021 XT2 LX46 with fabricated deck. I have not been able to keep from scalping my lawn on the slopes in my yard and when I called my dealer all they seem to imply was that it was the nature of the beast meaning the heavier fabricated deck was going to shift on a slope to where I should expect some scalping so if I had it to do over again I would go with a pressed deck like I had before and which I had never scalped my lawn a single time with it. If you were always mowing on flat lawns, I'm sure you would be happy with the Cub Cadet...
@@Stingingfork1 Well,I live in West Virginia, and it's nothing but hills, lol. I helped a friend that was down a couple weeks after a surgery back in the early summer and used their mower that was a john deere with a 60 in accel deep deck with mulching kit and it left a flawless cut unless it was wet. I'll probably go ahead and get the john deere. It's a decent built mower for what I need to do.
Thank you. I built a lawn striper out of boat rollers and a 3/4 inch steel rod and it works great. I used 3 boat rollers and it is about 36 inches wide. Just got to get the grass a bit thicker for optimal visual.

Great video, I’m going to be trying this in my xt1-lt46 enduro. Hope it works, only thing different seems to be the PTO for the blades. I wish there were more “upgrade/modifications” videos for these machines.
