Thanks Ben and Shane. The new line up from Artist looks pretty good and this one does pack a good set of features in for the price. Good to hear it sounds and feels good to play. Looks like Hank has stepped up his game as we've seen some good guitars come out from his bench and we don't need to limit ourselves to only guitars QC'd by Leo anymore.

Im not a fN of heavy relic'd guitars but this guitar sounds amazing and getting stainless steel frets and a roasted maple neck at that price is also amazing! Unfortunately not available in Canada.

Where are the guitars made? Certainly not in Australia at that price.
Some sweet playing from Ben, there. Unfortunately, at the moment these higher end Artist guitars aren't available on their UK website. Hopefully, that'll change in the near future.
Thanks to Ben & Shane, (that righty D chord was exquisite!) I'm on the fence with, not so much the look, but the premise of this sort of painted over paisley finish. I mean, who in their right mind would paint over paisley? 🙂 Anyway, it's good to see Artist guitars being more adventurous.

Was the single coil hum made worse because of the hotness of those pickups? I have an old 1998 Affinity Squier Strat through a Roland Cube 40, and there is virtually no hum at all.
I'm looking forward to the T style video. I sort of think for my use, 3 pickup options is enough. Regards Rod
Could have been that! I reckon the most likely scenario would be the lighting and other video making paraphernalia that worsened the hum.
Sounds are great, but as for the aesthetic, I dunno. I would have to see it in person to decide . Ben is a monster!
That's actually a legit thing. People did paint over to Paisley
May be Artist make the strats to a higher standard, but as a long time Artist customer, I was disappointed in the QC of the two A73’s I bought recently. One I returned and the other Artist gave me a large discount on due to issues. The one I returned was unplayable out of the box the neck was so bowed. I straightened it but could never get it playable the way I liked due to fret buzz. The finish looked amateurish on these too.
I’d recommend a Classic Vibe over the ones I received alas.
