Thanks for showing how much care and effort goes into making a perfect face frame. I used this tutorial today to make my first one between two cabinets I built. I made the mistake of taking the measurement and didn't have the system you said. I ended up about 1/8 of an inch short on the middle vertical 1x2 because of it.

I love your trick for lining up the rails underneath the top drawers!
Did you use 1x2 poplar or pine for these?
    Great video! Thank you!

Thank you for the encouragement! Face frames are 3/4” thick by 1 1/2” wide. These are actually White Oak.

I thought if you had the one clamp over the joint you didn’t need the other one pulling it to the style ? I always then just doing it with one clamp over the joint

Iam asking not to judging. But what happened if you measured the width of your cabinet and the put your two fame frame styles together and hold the tape on end the measurement of the cabinet width then just read the other end and that should give you the length of your rail? Instead of attaching it to the cabinet to get a measurement then having to take it off

I’m sure that would be just as effective. Truthfully, I’ve built 5 full kitchens and my assemblies have been 5 different methods. I just keep trying different techniques

@@blakecollie8770constantly making mistakes…hence the continuous change of methodology. The mistakes make me seek a more efficient process.

You do good work, but why not one face frame to 1 cabinet?

My customer base has show interest in the seamless structure. So that each bank of cabinets looks like one large cabinet

I enjoyed the video, but hated the “vertical recording” style. I never watch videos on my phone or iPad in a vertical orientation so the videos are super skinny. Please record it widescreen for the next one. Great stuff!

Thanks for the feedback. Reels have been my primary use for videos, thus the vertical orientation. As I put more efforts to TH-cam, I’ll change to widescreen video. 👍🏻

Thanks for the response! I’ll definitely keep an eye out! I enjoy your style and will definitely consider subscribing if you switch it up!
