Should I pay tuition fees before or after receiving transfer credits. I have conditional acceptance. But my term says I have 11k tuition charges.
Finally some transfer information.
Princeton is working hard this year to get more students transferring from community colleges. They even stared a new program call TSI ( transfer scholar initiative) during summer 2023 for transfer students to experience the life of 4 year institution.
Transferring has always been a difficult option for students out there.
The US College system is peculiar because sometimes one is not happy about where one studies or majors,

I work as.a transfer admission counselor and all of these points are pretty accurate if you're trying to move from one highly selective four-year school to another. Please do your research and choose somewhere that's actually a fit for you, regardless of what type of applicant you are!
I do take issue with the distinction between "transfer admission" and "undergraduate admission" when you actually mean to distinguish between transfer and first-year admission. Transfer students are still undergraduate students.

I wish this video came out before I did my applications lol. I definitely did the first mistake in this video, at least for my first app to Pepperdine. Somehow I still got in though 🥴
This was super helpful! Can you do a video on how to write the why transfer essay maybe giving an example. There are very few examples out there and I’m currently stumped in the process of writing it.
I suspect that Transferring is much more difficult In the 2020s compared to the 2010 decades out there.

Hi Brooke, I am an international student who has applied for undergraduate to several schools in the top 25. I’m not exactly sure if this is how it works but since so many admitted students chose to defer entry or take a gap year last year due to everything being online, does it mean schools would have to admit less people this year who are graduating high school this year since they have to accommodate for those who got in last year?
I want to transfer from ASU to UTSA when I stopped going after my junior year back in 2020. A solid 4 year gap
I'm at international student studying Architecture, but I rejected BU because it didn't have 'a proper architecture' program. After one year at my current university I realized I made a mistake both with the university I chose and the major. I tried transferring t BU for the fall but got rejected. I'm doing research into other US schools because it wont be right to apply once again and it sucks cause I don't see myself anywhere else.

There is a really amazing ranked school I want to go to. I am currently at cc and honestly doesn’t have everything I need and am here for a year to save money. This school has an engineering degree I can’t find at too many other schools and has a great medical school I want to go as well. It is decently close to where I live to the point where I am used to the area and know the feel for that I love. This program only takes freshman transfers(starting as sophomores at the school) and I’m not sure how to add that to my application. I also didn’t do many ex but have contact with some people and programs I would hopefully start soon. Can anyone help?

How do you transfer from a European university?
What is difference between transfer and first year applicant?
First year applicants are individuals who attended high school and then go to the college of their choice.
Transfer applicants are people who have completed high school, then go to a community college(typically 2 years), but not the college of their choice. At that community college they complete courses that are required for them to be completed as listed from the college of their choice. Assuming the transfer applicant gets accepted, they then transfer from the community college to the college of their choice.

@@water8garden If you want to transfer from school outside of U.S. to a U.S. college you apply as an International transfer. Transfer applicants don't have to go to community college, they can transfer from state schools, or from ivy to ivy.
