Good to see the guys training on that Hammer Strength Iso lat Pulldown - like Yates back in the days. It seems (especially here in Germany) the holly grail of Back machines nowadays is the Nautilus XPlode Pulldown. Just my opinion!
That 1 to 2 second squeeze, is what promotes growth. That’s why it’s hardly a bunch of reps over 12. It’s all about squeezes or pauses. Super boring, but effective.
It's actually been proven that keeping the muscle at it's most stretched position under load (for a couple of secs), promotes more hypertrophy than at its "squeezed" part of the motion. At the end of the day it's all about stimulus and time under tension, but I had to point that out.
