But one thing I've noticed the windows and doors where ever they clean never seem to be open. To me the dust and dirt just floats around and lands back where it was. I need open doors and windows. Plus everyone always seem so clean. I'm soaking wet, covered in dirt and need a bath. Maybe its just me...
I agree with johnjhuff's comment about the U.S. version. Practically the only cleaners they use in the BBC version are what we should all be using because they work MUCH better ... baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, borax and water. It was imperative that I deep clean our house before my husband was released from the hospital after a bone marrow transplant. Different mixtures of typical household items are easier, safer and more effective than the most expensive commercial cleaning products.
I'm American and I have to admit that I like the English version better. I like knowing about the natural products to use. I agree with johnjhuff, unfortunately we are the chemical capital and it's a shame. I wonder why they switched from the English version to USA?
I hate the ads too, but, maybe it will make lazy people who have the money try some of these things. You know, alot of times people think only poor people live like this, but, this show has proven that anyone can be a pig about house cleaning, If you dont have any money at least they give you products that even people on food stamps can buy, like lemons an baking soda, and vinegar, I know a women that wont even bother cleaning if she is out of her cleaners. There is no need to not clean.
I have two daughters and one of them has asthma. She had a major attack when she was three and was rushed to hospital with a dangerously low amount of oxygen. Doctors said it was from mold growing in the conservatory in the house we were renting at the time. And it was divided by a wall and a window that looked into her room at the time. We never opened that window but it does travel even if you can't see it. Luckily we are not there anymore but that bathroom that was demolished was a nightmare. My daughter would've died if she was in that room
Product placement likely pays for the shows. Think of all the people who need to be paid at the end of filming an episode. There's the production staff, the filming crew, Kim and Aggie, the narrator, the cleaners, possibly the lab where the samples were tested... The important thing is that the homeowners on the show learn how to live in and maintain a cleaner, healthier, and more sanitary environment. I like seeing Kim and Aggie's cleaning tips, but sometimes you need a stronger product.
Does Aggie has an accent? Espacially with the R ? English is not my first language (But french is) and I don t understand everything. But I always hear some joke/kiddings with the R pronunciation...I THINK, BUT WHY EXACTLY?

I would have made those girls clean every inch all by themselves instead of calling in a cleaning crew!

Prefer to UK episodes where they were using vinegar, sodium bicarb etc, not proprietary products.
They still share a room? Maybe they should have cleaned out another room so they could each have their own bedroom.

If they had had the water leaks fixed as soon as they started, that bathroom wouldn't have been ruined from the mold.

Probably out of budget. There's a window. I never had an apartment with a bathroom fan except one that was in the basement and windowless.

I cann't use most store bought cleaners. So this version is not much help.
