You two ladies addressed an issue rarely mentioned about feeling lost in homemaker identity. So many marriages fail when the woman doesn’t know how to overcome that. This was helpful and cathartic for me. Thank you both

Great discussion! Although after hearing Radhi's thoughts on her last name, I'm not sure why the name on this episode title is 'Radhi Shetty' and 'Radhi Devlukia-Shetty' is used in the description. It would be thoughtful to use the one that she articulates as her true identity - Radhi Devlukia.

Thank you for sharing all of this, but especially the part about your name. I could so relate about taking my husbands name and being affiliated with his works when I have my own. And this was so eye-opening to me. And …it’s not just a name! Thank you for being YOU!!

Really appreciate you for sharing your wisdom Radhi. But please try using the correct terms when you are explaining about INDIAN culture and AYURVEDIC practices. Like its not a "Body Scan" , its called "Yoga Nidra", "Toungue Scraping" is not Ayurvedic ONLY, its an INDIAN practice.
Im mentioning this because I know there are SOOO MANY things to be changed in INDIAN culture which you talked about (Patriarchy) and I 1000% agree.. BUT PLEASE give the credit where its DUE too...
    All love for you ❤❤❤

00:00 🧠 Seeing barriers as opportunities for growth, rather than obstacles, can shift your mindset towards confidence.
01:10 🌱 Saying "yes" to uncomfortable opportunities, despite fear and anxiety, can lead to personal growth and increased confidence.
02:21 🎯 Overcoming challenges and saying "yes" builds confidence and propels you forward to embrace new opportunities.
04:12 🪞 Embracing authenticity and disregarding external judgments fosters a carefree and confident mindset.
09:01 💬 Changing internal dialogue from self-criticism to gratitude and appreciation can enhance self-confidence.
10:09 📝 Taking inventory of self-talk and consciously redirecting negative thoughts can lead to a more positive self-perception.
11:49 🌟 Using intentional language and actions to lift oneself up during moments of self-doubt or sadness reinforces positive self-esteem.
14:06 🌈 Acknowledging and embracing the duality of emotions allows for a more balanced and resilient approach to life's challenges.
16:14 🍕 Redefining comfort food as what truly comforts the nervous system, rather than emotional eating, supports healthier coping mechanisms.
16:55 🥗 Eating nutrient-rich foods can positively impact mood, conversation, and overall well-being during social interactions.
18:22 🍽 Being mindful of what you eat can significantly affect your mood and energy levels, emphasizing the importance of choosing nourishing meals over indulgent ones.
20:30 🍬 Taking breaks from consuming certain foods, like sugar, can help reset your body's dependence on them and promote healthier eating habits.
22:52 🛤 Establishing healthy boundaries with food, similar to relationships, requires restraint and discipline but leads to long-term wellness benefits.
23:34 💪 Setting boundaries with people involves prioritizing your values and needs over societal expectations or guilt.
26:49 🎯 Recognizing personal value beyond traditional roles or expectations fosters healthier relationships and self-perception.
30:05 🙅‍♀ Overcoming cultural expectations and shoulds involves acknowledging and challenging ingrained beliefs to prioritize personal well-being and autonomy.
33:43 🌱 Acts of service and serving others can bring immense joy and fulfillment without expecting reciprocation, enhancing happiness and love in life.
35:06 💡 Identity can become deeply intertwined with roles and expectations, leading to challenges in finding oneself when those roles shift or dissolve.
37:50 🌟 Women often face societal expectations regarding identity, such as taking their husband's name, highlighting inequalities and personal struggles in navigating cultural norms.
39:28 🔄 Resisting societal expectations and finding one's authentic self requires introspection, grounding in personal values, and challenging ingrained cultural norms.
45:40 ✊ Confidence stems from aligning actions with personal values and purposes, regardless of societal expectations, fostering empowerment and self-assurance.
49:21 🙏 Cultivating gratitude is a powerful tool for shifting focus from negativity to positivity, promoting mental and emotional well-being.
50:47 🗣 Talking out emotions, writing them down, and seeking positive perspectives help in processing difficult situations effectively.
51:41 💔 Finding gratitude even in challenging times can bring unexpected beauty and meaning to difficult experiences.
53:17 🤝 Seeking perspectives from others can provide valuable insights and help shift one's mindset during dark times.
54:56 🌟 Allowing others to support and care for you, even in vulnerable moments, can be incredibly healing and uplifting.
56:43 🤲 Taking responsibility for self-soothing and problem-solving can prevent relying too heavily on others for emotional support.
57:53 🩺 Regularly checking blood levels, eating nutritious foods, and taking supplements can positively impact mood and energy levels.
01:00:02 🌱 Connecting with nature, maintaining a routine sleep schedule, and engaging in calming movements contribute to emotional and physical well-being.
01:06:43 💤 Understanding the importance of sleep and its impact on mental and physical health is crucial for overall well-being.
01:08:32 💪 Prioritize areas of your life, accepting compromises in some while ensuring others are solid to enhance overall well-being.
01:09:01 🩺 Ignoring your health can severely impact confidence, self-esteem, and the ability to achieve goals; prioritizing health is crucial.
01:09:54 🏥 Joy Women's Wellness offers comprehensive health reports to help balance hormones, boost energy, and improve sleep quality.
01:10:49 💡 Discipline in one area of life can boost confidence and productivity in other areas.
01:11:59 🩺 Listen to your body's signals and prioritize self-awareness over external advice when it comes to health decisions.
01:12:28 📝 Keeping a detailed diary helps identify patterns in health and lifestyle, facilitating informed decision-making.
01:14:20 🛌 Utilizing tools like Lumen for metabolic tracking can provide valuable insights into dietary and lifestyle choices.
01:16:10 🤝 Prioritizing health is foundational for achieving confidence and success in all aspects of life, especially for women.
01:24:06 🧘‍♂ Practicing body scan meditation can help identify and release tension, promoting relaxation and better sleep.
01:25:45 🌡 Maintaining a room temperature below 70°F (21°C) and using a smart blanket can aid in regulating body temperature for better sleep, especially for women experiencing hormonal changes.
01:27:20 💰 Advocating for oneself, like asking for a pay raise, often requires a shift in mindset, especially for women who may prioritize others over themselves.
01:29:43 🛡 Recognizing the importance of self-care and self-respect, especially for women, is essential for maintaining mental and emotional well-being.
01:33:39 🔄 Life-changing events, such as facing death or significant challenges, can serve as wake-up calls, prompting a reassessment of priorities and leading to personal growth.
01:37:35 🌊 Personal growth and change are not linear processes; they involve setbacks and fluctuations, akin to the ebb and flow of tides, requiring ongoing self-awareness and reflection.
01:41:29 💭 Self-talk plays a crucial role in shaping our actions and decisions.
01:42:09 🔄 Life is about constant shifts and self-correction; perfection is not the goal.
01:43:20 🗣 No one is succeeding every day; embracing imperfection is key to growth.
01:43:49 🤝 Authenticity and honesty about struggles are more impactful than projecting perfection.
01:44:30 🎭 Emotions can lead astray but embracing and managing them is essential for growth.
01:46:36 🎁 Sharing and positively impacting others' lives is a significantsource of pride and fulfillment.
01:48:29 💡 Choosing a different narrative and being resilient can lead to personal transformation.
01:52:11 🏃‍♀ Challenging oneself can lead to growth, but it's essential to question motives and be mindful of consequences.
01:55:50 🔄 Reflecting on intentions behind actions is crucial for making genuine, fulfilling decisions.
01:58:04 🏃‍♀ Conversations in your head play a crucial role in pushing through challenges, like finishing a marathon, highlighting the importance of self-talk and resilience.
02:00:54 💑 Identifying core values is vital in relationships, helping to ensure alignment and compatibility beyond surface-level attributes.
02:02:58 🤔 Understanding your core values aids decision-making and navigating opportunities, ensuring alignment with personal beliefs and goals.
02:05:19 🚧 Setting boundaries is essential, including not surrounding oneself with people who don't support personal growth or resent one's drive.
02:08:31 🔄 The people you surround yourself with significantly influence your life, emphasizing the importance of choosing supportive and uplifting connections.

This is such an eye-opening episode for me!! Thank you so much for all you both do. You touched a nerve of mine about feeling less than or like I'm not being the strong woman I want to be by doing certain things for the man I'm with. The point of view you both talked about was a huge Aha moment. And the going for a walk while crying or feeling sad was awesome. Duality! You two knocked this out of the park!! I'm not even done with the episode and just gotten soo much out of it.

I like to eat well and healthy. For me, no take out food tastes just as good, so I don’t mind cooking for me. It’s not much more work to increase portions. Women often look down on women who cook while at the same time celebrate the take out food made by a chef who often happens to be a man. That’s where I see the problem. Not that it is a cultural thing but rather an appreciation issue.

Interesting that 38mins in, she expresses her need and desire to be known by her maiden name - yet the title puts her married name - something that she doesnt actually like. Almost as if it validates that fear, that had the surname Shetty not been noted, would there have been the same amount of clicks to watch because people recognise her husbands surname more than her own.😢
