Part of what I love about the scene is what Mahito is. The embodiment of human negative emotions will do the cruelest actions with the widest grin but the moment the shoe is on the other foot, it completely crumbles. It begs, it cries, it does everything it can to exist one second longer even it’s just throwing dirt. And there’s just something darkly fitting about that.
Are you nah I'd win because you're I'm you stand strong you are proud or are you with this malevolent SAVE ME MAHORAGA!! I summon funeral for 120% quite high left it all behind and his overwhelming kitchen shrine 7:3
Yuji fights to save lives, Mahito fights to end them, but *both* of them are deeply instinctual creatures. Yuji doesn't need to do any kind of moral calculus to decide who he wants to save, he'll just do it, and Mahito is the same way with murder. Both of these character *decide who lives and who dies based on their own individual whims.* The thematic reason why Yuji's been weaker than Mahito for most of the series is that Mahito understood that his reasons were inherently arbitrary, but Yuji didn't. Yuji needed to believe that his desires were backed up by some kind of higher power or higher authority. But the constant onslaught of meaningless death Mahito brought about forced Yuji to fully accept the weight and responsibility of being a Jujutsu Sorcerer. And once that was cleared up, there was only one way things could go.
damn i rly thought that it might’ve been his innate domain but it makes sense for it to not be cos of the instant cuts back to the shibuya crater, ty for explaining, you’re him you’re literally him
Something I really like about your content is that you actually pay attention to the themes of Jujutsu Kaisen. A lot of people who talk about anime in general are hyper-literal dorks with no media literacy to speak of. I like that you break the mold in that way, even while giving comprehensive explanations of the function of powers in-universe.
In the manga, before Fake Geto shows up, we see a panel of a second wolf-symbolizing that he is another predator. That's why Mahito attacked him, because he felt the same danger coming from Fake Geto as he did from Yuji.
I'm glad you're balancing power system and power scaling analysis with thematic and character analysis. Thinking about the raw mathematical power of characters is pointless if you don't keep in mind the MEANING of everything in the story.
Thanks for answering my question before. I'm curious about how exactly the soul works in the series, what exactly does it mean to have a complete understanding of the soul? And how does understanding the soul allow you to have more control over it?
Theory, in a show that even explains away describing your technique, perhaps this is more than just metaphorical. Yuji, and Sukuna have these semi domain aesthetic scenes where they and their opponents can stand and chat for a moment expressing their relationship. Yuji and Todo, Yuji and Chozo, Yuji and Mahito, Sukuna and Yuji, Sukuna and Jogo. Given Sukuna's cooking themed techniques, it would make sense for aesthetics to make an appearance. It is my theory these visits outside of time like memories appearing in their heads are actually a cursed technique of aesthetics that Yuji inherited as one of the few non-directly evil techniques sukuna possessed.
Hey love your videos first off. second off What would happen if Gojo had actually won against Sukuna? Would Kenjakus plans change now that hes dead? And would Sukuna ever be able to be reborn in someway?

That scene for some reason reminds of that scene from Samurai Jack where he gets confused from Evil Jack saying a similar line . Where Jack responds if you are me then who am I?🤣
My guess is that the snowy landscape is basically the same thing as the werd flashbacks that Todo, Choso and Jogo had. It's basically Yuji's version of soul manipulation. Since Mahito himself said that the way how each technique interacts with the soul might be different from each other when Geto's body tried to kill himself, my guess is that Yuji is probably instinctively using his CT and putting a small part of his own soul into others, leading to an enchanced connection between two characters.
@@bitethedust3561 no disrespect mate I just agree with the take on the vid. Specially because as he mentioned, it swaps in and out of that “memory” you mention. It would be cool if it turned out to be like you said, but if you read the manga you would see how it doesn’t make sense.

I always thought the landscape was in mahito's mind since earlier in the arc he said something along the lines of capturing some of the humans and releasing them to hunt once this is over
I thought that the environment was an extension of what mahito was feeling both physically (maybe his body was getting colder as he ran out of cursed energy) and psychologically (running away from doom in an environment that provides him no solice or protection)
We already know how executing a black flash effects a sorcerer and it was perhaps implied that yujis final black flash on mahito was performed at will. I cannot in good faith dismiss this feat as purely symbolism. Yuji has spawned false memories before and it had just as dramatic of an effect on choso. Yuji is just an anomaly.
I also think it's all about symbolism, but still jjk is heavy with symbols being more the just that, so I think that that was not actually his inate domain in that scene, but his domain will probably be just like that, maybe that was just a teaser, or a feeling that transmitted what his inate domain is or would be

Yuji might be hypocrite but so mahito is he says that live has no value it all but when he faces yuji for the last time he value his live in trying to run away from yuji wich really fits mahito a lot because mahito is a human curse and we are hypocrite too

But i do wish Yuji stayed true to his ideals and offered mahito a chance. I know its naive. I think one should stay true to themselves. I admire Yuji for staying true to his core ideal of saving the innocent.
