      Yeah no worries we all just wanted to point out the impact Summoning have on an entire subgenre. I dont know what subgenre i love the most , preety much everything has something to enjoy. i could go from satanic warmaster to mesarthim or moonlight sorcery and enjoy equally. Lately am stuck with stormkeep's galdrum and the classic vittra from naglfar.

      @@HandtuchAufDerLiegeImUrlaub I would put Caladan Brood, Firienholt and Can Bardd in the Epic Black Metal subgenre. All of which I like a lot. These are all medieval-sounding and therefore quite "folky", and also atmospheric.
      Then you've got bands like Drengskapur, should they be put in the Atmospheric BM pile? If so, there is a huge difference between them and Eldamar, for instance.

Then you had Abigor, Blut Aus Nord, Gehenna, Keep of Kalessin, Lord Belial moving in with the Atmospheric/Melodic era, which was INCREDIBLE.
    For me S tiers are, 2nd Wave 88-93 ( Morbid, Bathory, Darkthrone)

But the masters of this disguise are Anaal Nathrakh from UK in my humble opinion. They all manage to still sound very organic to me.

    For me, NSBM should be f for reasons of... fuck nazis. But i understand that many fans of black metal can do with the stupid wordviews of bands like burzum or peste noir separating art for the artist. I'il put the first wave a little higher, because we have bandas like Sarcófago (they deserve more atention on this channel) Samael and also Celtic Frost. Blackgaze and Avant Garde BM are still evolving in some more deep and emotional bands like white ward or uada for example. Blackened Crust is probably mi favorite genre. Bands like wildspeaker, iskra and many others. Black Doom is underated too, bethlehem and the first 2 albuns of katatonia are freaking delicious. Cool List Man, Anyway.

      nsbm is f tier cos there is literally no good nsbm. they all suck.
      gbk for example have a bunch of good riffs and especially interesting drum parts but theyre all over the place and arent even capable of finishing one good song lmao.
      they have great potential but theyre so frustrating to listen to! first part of parody of the lords supper is fucking great for example but they somehow manage to ruin it all because they suck at song writing.
      since nazis are actually retarded there is no suprise here. just sad that they cant get their shit together, drop the stupid attitude and focus on writing good songs instead.
      same goes for burzum. good riffs, good atmosphere, ruined by shitty songwriting.

    My issue with all the recognized black metal sub genres is that 80% of them are bullshit. The instrumentation for the same genre can be completely different but because they have the same lyrical themes they’re the same genre while in other cases “different” genres can have the same lyrical and instrument styles but because one is about Vikings and the other is about mysticism or something that they’re two different genres.
    The consideration for composition often times is thrown out the windows and we delegate way too much on what type of music it is when it’s often times just simply black metal to me, more or less because the nuances are so self-important or contradicting that they become meaningless and bloated.
    Cool list though. I like your videos a lot.

    • @CultOfSol777
      @CultOfSol777 ปีที่แล้ว

      Black Metal as a genre is oversaturated. To many new bands, newcomers, just a few like a needle in the hay bale may surprise me, even from the US there are a few good ones and old school but overall, to much bullshit, uninteresting and unoriginal stuff, one band copies the other band. Bands copy Finnish bands here and there.
      I listen to bands from the 90´s , early 2000´s and they all had some real spirit in their music. It´s something, I like to come back from time to time. Today it feels like you have to be the most edgy mf around to be into Black Metal and the music is not even good at all. To much stuff sounds artificial, to sterile.. there is no spirit at all. Especially I mean the edgelords, who think "Satan" is the only thing that is important in the lyrics. Yet, most don´t even know what real Satanism is. It´s not some guys lurking in the woods with candles and singing mantras to Satan. They don´t have a clue what the real inner circles are doing.
      A reason, why I don´t want even be part of this "Scene". I stopped to care about it, hitting my 30´s now. I am glad, my edgy "TRVE" years are over. Stopped taking everything to serious. I just think, some people in the scene are still stuck in the past and think, they can be real rebels and change the world by bashing against a weakened religion called Christianity. It´s easy to go against a religion, which became weaker and get no response back. Yet, no one talks about Islam in Europe, because there they all are to pussy to do something. Christianity is not a treat now, we have way more serious problems.
