As a man, I can imagine that. It has been hopeless and despair for women depending on the protection of the law. In the 1990s, women had to flee to another state from verbal and physical abusive partners many ended up dead. The courts usually gave an anger management class to the perpetrators and they would laugh it off. That's how pathetic the law is. After beating up their partners near dead, they were arrested and got out the next few days again anger management class. It was income to the city, a job the those who taught the class and an income to those who owned the space, the premises.
