Based on your recommendation. I just installed Cakewalk by bandLab. I'm a sonar producer user since forever ago. Used Cubase and PT as well. I admit I was Skeptical being it was Freeware. But, I have to say I've never had such a seamless no problem DAW install as I just had. All my old project files and PI's seemed to migrate over no problem. So far so good. Thanks for your excellent advice and reassurance. Tim Tim's Guitar World. 😎
Great video!!! I use DS by Fabfilter as my D-Esser cause of the visual aspect AND with the vocal thickening thingy, I actually do it the old way (that Warren once did a video about) which is recording another take and blending it with the main one, I might sing it a bit differently with minor variations or sometimes I'll sing it the same exact way to make a double. When it comes to rap, I usually know how it should sounds so I record multiple takes and multiple adlibs in case I needed them but I never did that trick with Little Alterboy.
Great video. Very helpful I'm in the process of recording vocals now. How did you get the Dublin track? Did you record it separately, or did you copy the vocal truck and then work with the Dublin track separately
i currently don't know anything about mixing but in order to make my vocals more cleaner i need to learn and i'm juggling my school works and singing at the same time. I just wanna ask about the EQ i can't really hear clearly because of my old headset, what am i suppose to eliminate and boost?
When I am recording my vocal in cakewalk it was recording in 2x speed that too in a cartoon voice what is the solution for that... Plz get me out of this
Hi again, just wondering if you could help me? Many of the plug ins in the guide seem to be quite expensive or unavailable as they are now discontinued. I do have the VX 64 though:) May I ask did you get these plug ins recently? And if they're unavailable, or too expensive do you have any free alternatives to mix like you do?:D
There are alternatives to any plugin on the market (pretty much). You just have to look. Keep an eye on the community tab and I’ll post some alternatives there soon.
Great video! Thank you Robert for this extensive tutorial with all the details and variations.
Absolutely! I tried to over deliver this time around.

Awesomeness!
Hey thank you so much! May I ask, how do you thicken the vocal track like you did? I know you copy it but I’m unsure how to make it sound like you did
I used a pitch shifter (Little Altar Boy) to thicken it with 5th harmonics
@@Homestudiosimplifed Awesome thank you! Last question.. What do you mean by 5th harmonics? ^^'
@@sphealwithitxd6720 It’s essentially the 5th Octave above the key that’s being sung in.
@@Homestudiosimplifed thank you :)
How do I make my vocals blend with the song ?feels like they sound like I’m just recording over the instrumental.
Wait how'd you do the thickener track?
Nevermind. You said it later lol
Great video Robert! That's a killer Cakewalk Theme by the way. Is that just Mercury or did you tweak it in the Theme Editor?

Hi, i am your new subscriber and i have a question that how can we make a group channel for vocals for fx
Create a Bus in the Console View and call it Vocal FX or something and then send your vocals to it.
@@Homestudiosimplifed i want to process different vocal in one bus will it work ?
Yep!

It’s your sample rates not matching up
