I think the best event to spend gems on is the Deep Sea Hunting, by buying the 2 extra dive (5500 gems) and setting alarms to make sure you get the full 63 chests, no need to buy the speed-ups.
My stats for the last one (ending on 2023/01/18) : *** Never merge anything until you've collected all the chests at the end of the event ***
Hunting 7 days : 49 green chests + 14 blue chests
First merger : 1 green + 30 blue
Luck : for the 30 Blues gave 8 Mysterious + 2 Legendary which translated in a total of :
- 48 orange shards
- 14 Red skill boxes
- 14 8hours speed-ups
From the p.o.v. of orange shards only : 5500 gems / 48 = 114,6 gems per orange shard, quite cheap !
Probably the cheapest you can get a load of orange shards in this game.
Wry very very true ‼️. And flippy. So guys…be careful….put to much gems in NUMBERS; you end up with 400 gems per fragment
I know it's an old comment, but two points - firstly, the event has since changed in terms of how many hours each dive is and how many shards each one gives.
Secondly, your math is flawed since you take the whole haul you got and divide it by the cost of 2 extra submarines, whereas if you haven't paid anything you still would've got roughly 1/3 of what you got. Your extra searches simply add 200% to your rewards. With that assumption, your extra dives would've given you something like 32 extra shards, which would be 5500/32 = 172 per shard.
I just sent a recommendation for Top War to employ your talents in describing things to everyone since you can do it better than they can...Top War often times make understanding things difficult. I gave them your youtube information.

I have spoken to rivergame employees a few times on this topic …and made my point crystal clear:
YES i accept “payments” from rivergame…BUT NEVER in £, €, $ …BUT : in good game quality …more interaction with us : the community.

Is it really only 40 shards on average from my experience it’s at 50 or above (at last 40 normally and on top of that the box at the end), and I think it might be worth it to talk about the second and third round as well since the rewards vary
The RNG may push you towards . 400 gems per fragment if you spend to much gems
For the f2p players : free gems are the ONLY good way to progress in game .
So it’s NOT that important HOW MANY universal shard they get , BUT for how much: playing till the first 10.000 points (circa 3.000 gems)…may give them a whooping: under 200 gems per shard.
And yes…the new hero + lucky treasure is around the corner !
So it’s worth to pay attention
just had this event drop for my server today, using your guide, I saved a bit on gems. took my ~9 10x runs for the 100k. Got 45 shards = 215 per shard
Fantastic Marc. BUT please pay attention…NOT all gems into it . The rate does go up the more gems you spend
@t-me8295 yeah , im not doing any more at all. I'm a f2p player, and we starting 8 server TA in few days and possibly getting Shinji/Maximo (unless my server misses it again) , so saving the rest in case they are available for gems

@t-me8295 yeah, im at 14k 😁, w/ 10 alliance chests, and about another 25k saved in gem items I havent used (best way to manage and not use I've found)
Was lucky today. Got 43 gold shards in total for 7960 gems. So about 184 per gs. And deep sea was also Nice. Did get 51 shards from that.

100 Golden shards and 350 universal skill shards for 3 rounds, 24k gems. and also a lvl4 march size increase. Maybe not the best event, but it's a good opportunity for f2p to get universal skill shards - they were the reason for me to invest the gems.
People play this as a reliable-ish way to obtain skill shards
