    Excellent video!! Such a beautiful firearm. After watching your cleaning video I went out and found a great deal on one in 44 mag on a local forum. I appreciate the heads up on the ammo types to use. Can't wait to get it to the range and make a video on it. I've always wanted one.

    I just barely ordered some 357 Mag gear for my DE, when I bought mine I got it in 50AE, I have the 44 Mag stuff as well, can't wait for my stuff to get here :).

      I was looking into converting my 50ae to a 357. What all do you need? I know 44 and 50 are just a barrel and magazine change, but you can't seem to buy 357 conversion kits online. I've heard you have to change the bolt?

      @@darrellgardner4561 Mostly just the 357 Bolt, Barrel and Magazines, one thing I would recommend is tighting the springs on the Magazines as it improves feed reliability slightly, and you will have to experiment with different loads just to see what works the best. Hornady and Remington seem to work just fine, the only thing with 357 is it jams a little more than the other two calibers, but like I said if you want the best performance, I would stick with those two brands I said.

    That would be cool to shoot but wouldn’t buy one cause for that price I would buy a S&W 627

    Daddy Yeager says no on dropping slide with controls 😂. Sexy ass pistol. Thanks Travis

      Yeah well, he also told me Taurus pistols are trash but now we swears the G2C is an amazing gun. Ive been told slide stop releasing the slide is fine so long as there is a round in the chamber. Thanks for watching!

    Did you have any reliability issues? I've heard deagles are notoriously finicky in context of reliability, made me sad to hear because beauty piece!

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had 2 FTF issues in 50 rounds but it happened on the second round when I top charged the firearm. Using the slide stop/slide release didn't cause any problems.

      @@travisp11 thanks, you had mentioned you were afraid your hand/globe would ride the slide. Design is strange, since entire slide doesn't reciprocate. I personally like to keep my left thumb way up riding the frame so unfortunately that design would make good grip difficult. Great video) informative video!

      @@chronicdose thanks for watching! Yeah, for such a large gun it is easy to rest your thumb on the slide.

    “A 7rd capacity in .50AE and an 8rd capacity in .44Mag……interesting enough, the model I tested had a 9rd capacity in .357”……..yeah, 1. That’s how bullet caliber size works; and 2. The Desert Eagle was originally chambered in a .357Mag

    Why does this gun exist? Just wondering who needs/wants a .357 magnum in a semi-auto gun with a history of reliability issues

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine ran just fine. Keep it clean and run the recommended ammo and you should be fine.
