Lasers don't instakill like they should. Instead, they take one heart per frame in contact.If you're going fast enough and pass through a laser going the other way, it's possible to only be in contact for two frames, and thus, not die.

They deal one heart of damage each frame. If you can get through the laser in two frames, you will get through with one heart left. This only works on the flash version of the game, not mobile.
