Nigeria should be far more developed had the North chosen to be on its own and remain colonised by the British.

Unfortunately, the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates for business reasons by the Royal Niger Company in 1914 complicated issues for the business concern now known as Nigeria, no thanks to the British.

I'll continue to insist that Zik was no legend or great leader. He was power hungry and always seeking to be in positions of power even if it were at the expense of the igbos not to mention Nigeria as a whole. He knew a divided Nigeria won't favour him as his power in the east was Shaky and reliant on him coming across as a friend of the North.

The great Zik was the founding father, like George Worthington, Zik had to play the midwifery role. We must honor our hero past.💚💙💜

@@josephaku9631 Zik was a political chameleon! Would have been better off as a Professor of Political Science.

@@josephaku9631 No, he was just a black nationalist that think Africa needs large countries, maybe even one united country like Kwame over in Ghana thought.

Sadauna Ahmadu Bello was a man of wisdom.
As for Zik he was a snake, a power drunk always wanted to be in power. Little wonder why he fought Dr Eyo Ita to become premier of the East

Wanted to be in power, literally took up the presidency a purely ceremonial role at the time.
If he was so concerned with power, why didn't he try to become prime minister something?.
