I'm 6'4" and been looking at this because the two RE screens create a ton of buffeting. Only thing I'm hesitating on with the wrs is the thickness. 3mm seem thin. Have you noticed it vibrating or distorting at speed?
I agree, it does look thin. However, the shape seems to add strength to it. Have not noticed any distortion or vibration and the screen seems solid enough. So far I'm liking it. Wahoo!
How is on the freeway is it capable enough ? I think royal enfield is planning to release Himalayan 650 that should be my buy at some point in time test is in progress ..
I've rode my Himalayan thousands of miles on the freeway. Even did a 1,030 mile Day ride which was almost all interstate. 16 hours one minute. The bike is definitely interstate capable.
I know people swear by the RE touring windshield (for the super meteor), but I tried it on a demo bike and experienced horrendous buffeting… tried a Dart windscreen and it’s fine. Wonder how much the rider’s exact height affects the experience. Fuzzy - did you experience any whistling noises at speed with your Neotec helmet? I decided to splurge and get one, partially based on your experience, and it’s terrible at highway speed. Even with earplugs it’s very loud. Much louder than my old HJC i10 (which was a $150 helmet). Besides the general wind noise the Neotec also whistles. It’s really fatiguing. You typically can’t return helmets once used… what do I do?
Helmet. I would ask the seller to exchange that helmet. If the seller will not help then I would contact Shoei directly. These helmets are very expensive and are warranted against defect. I'm guessing its seal isn't working correctly. There are two areas that seal; between the visor and the modular front and between the modular front and the helmet. When riding and the helmet is whistling press in on each of these areas separately and see if the whistling stops. Very sorry to hear of this problem. I've had a very positive experience with my Neotec. I'll have to check into that Dart windscreen for the Super Meteor.
@@forgottenmotorcycles the one I got is called the Dart Marlin. Saw it on a triumph of some kind they had in the shop and it looked great. Very happy with it.
“Maybe I’ll keep this windshield on for a couple of days”. That equals approximately 10k miles. 👍🤣🤣
LOL!
Ive just ordered the smoked large screen, its 37.5 H & 37 W. Im looking forward to it. Thanks for the video, it helped me make up my mind.
Glad I could help
Please share your experience.
Shield looks good, Fuzzy! I'll be curious to see if the larger screen will affect your MPGs.
I will keep an eye on that. Thanks!
@@forgottenmotorcycles Wahoo! 🤘
a lot of this depends on height of rider. im 6ft 2 and everything but the standard windshield buffets my head
Yes, among other things too. I wonder how much the helmet one is wearing matters too.
