As an American, I can confirm that there are huge pickups EVERYWHERE. I only ever see the regular sized ones with only 2 seats once in a blue moon. Also, the drivers of those huge trucks do not give a damn about pedestrians or cyclists, so be careful.
In the UK there is the trend towards to big cars as well now, the whole car market has been trending towards them for a long time. I think about 40% of the cars on the road are Range Rover sized. We’re luckily still behind the US.
I’ve had a smaller Taco Bell cup and the smaller one was the small. The second one mainly caters to big truck drivers that go all across the nation and need to stay hydrated. Free refills are because it doesn’t cost a lot for those big jugs compared to other countries because most factories are in the US
Do you think that they have giant tanker ships carrying soft drinks across the ocean? Soft drinks are produced locally, under licence from Coca-Cola or Pepsi. (I don't think there are many other American soft drink companies with a worldwide presence.) Free refills don't exist in Europe (or elsewhere, I presume) because it never became expected. Local telephone calls have also always been metered, whereas these are free in the USA. Then again, certain things in Europe are free that are hugely expensive in the USA.

My dads side of the family lives 6 hours away and it’s still in Florida it took us less time to go to Georgia than to my grandparents house
That’s crazy!!
As someone who lives in Jax it takes me less time to go to GA than it does to go to some parts of Jax.
I live when Americans act like their country is the biggest in the world lmao
It's WAY bigger than where I grew up! Country I grew up in is as big as the state of Florida! USA is the 3rd biggest country by land mass, so I do think Americans have a point here@@L.a.77
@@thechrissyhazel maybe it's beavuse I'm from Australia and was just annoyed that they think we are tiny lmao
the massive cups sizes that we have in our gas stations are for truckers who have to drive really long so they get the big sizes so that it lasts a long time
Love how big america is. I was the uk last year and its so freaking packed and old
The party size bags are for big families or people who eat a lot of cereal.
As someone with 3 siblings, my parents usually got those big bags of cereal because they were a lot cheaper than the boxes. In a 6 person household, you’ve gotta save money wherever you can
Born and raised in Hawaii, for 18 years. Spent nine months in Iowa after graduating high school, and returning home, felt like a foreign country. After less than a year away.
The cereal bags blew my mind as well as a Canadian.
As a Canadian, you can drive for DAYS and still be in one province so this is still a win win
Wow!!
yeah, it takes so long to get to Ottawa from Toronto, which doesn't even look that far away on the map but is. (and it's still only in Ontario...)
In Québec, Rouyn-Noranda - Gaspé is a 17h ride. And that just West to East.
Those party sized bags are always WAY cheaper and resealable! I practically grew up on it for breakfast in a middle class house with 4siblings
Also sizes of fries. Medium is like 1.5 large in Europe. Resturant portions are almost double.
walter jr. throws parties about cereal
yes i can confirm almost all of us own pickup trucks
I live exactly 58 minutes from the US border (I'm Canadian) and oh my goodness. I went to a Walmart there and I was overwhelmed by the amount of cereal. so... many... FLAVORS!
That’s crazy!!
I love your earrings!
They sell dog food in bulk in the UK in bags the size of those cereal bags! 😂🐶
😅 me sitting here eating my 2nd bowl of cereal from a party sized bag
GET IT
You spent a year in Tunisia after living in America your whole life and suddenly forgot about trucks, big gulps, bulk options for families, and the size of the United States? Did you hit your head?
Got kicked in the head by a camel.😂
Same thoughts
Really. Dont care where i go, living somewhere else for a year might let me forget where i came for about 3.5 seconds. Maybe that long. As soon as i think about it, ill remember hiw much different everything i am around is from where i grew up. Clickbait.
No, she just took a break from them and was thus reminded of them
Right lmao.
There is free refill in most fast food restaurants here in Finland
This is exactly how I felt going on holiday in america again after 9 years
as someone living in Texas, we can drive 8 hours and not even be close to an edge of this state
Dude you were there for a year, not 10. Calm down.
Right! I'm like, wait. She's american? She's not a tourist She's coming back home..
Look at me I'm quirky I lived abroad (easy way to maximize online attention)
What I've learned being a Canadian that visits america often
They're HUGE people, like, we have some overweight people here, but yall some BLUE WHALES just zooming around on your motorized carts
They're incredibly uneducated. I can't tell you how many people quote the bible and fox news to me during a conversation, just incredible
They can not drive to save their lives. It's honestly incredible how bad drivers are in usa
Debby downer over here
@@jamesg7508 lol
As a german traveling through the US I was amazed by these cereal bags. We sell dog- birdfood in bags of this size...
I was amazed to learn that people in Germany now have to burn wood and coal to keep from freezing to death because they no longer have enough fossil fuel energy, but at least you can still feed the birds and dogs…
cue "WTF is a kilometer?!?!" scream with a bald eagle screeching in the background
Hahahaha
I like the big bags of cereal, saves me money 😄 theyre usually off brand too but taste just like the original
Free refill is so smart for econony :)
Canadian from Quebec here, went down in Maine for the first time when I was like 16. The CEREAL ISLES IS NO JOKE.
We have free refills in Canada but its unlimited 😊
We also have party size cereal
USA : “Free refills!”
Britain : “free healthcare.”
It’s not free
@@tenebrousjones4897 free at point of use, and costs far less per person and is ranked globally higher than the US in terms of quality.
@@christinagrimwade8702you still have to pay hefty taxes for it. So stop referring to it as, “free” when by definition it’s not. You also have to wait months to even be seen or get proper care. I’m covered here in the US and get the best of the best care. I need surgery? I can be there tomorrow morning. You can’t say the same. 5 out of 10 of the best hospitals in the world exist in the US, the top 4 are all from the US. There’s a reason you guys fly over here for life saving operations.
@@shane6450if you „need“ a surgery anywhere you will get it as soon as it’s really needed. Also we have the freedom to go to any doctor about anything at anytime or to go stationary anywhere at anytime if we don’t feel well without leaving debt for generations. Stop defending your underdeveloped corporate Country it’s ridiculous
Paid half as much and taxed more, "free" lol
We have free refills in Australia but only at specific restaurants
Dam there’s enough there to give me diabetes on that volume. I never want to be allowed free refills 😂
As a British person who moved to America a few years ago these are all such big culture shocks for me too!
We have free refills here in Oklahoma almost everywhere and the large cereal is probably for families. Also, if I want a large and they pull up with that first cup, I’d be disappointed.
My husband and I get a large drink and just share it if we go for fast food because there’s no point in paying for two drinks and having 2 cups.
😂
There are free refills here in Maryland.
In other countries even sauce packets cost money 😂
The cereal bags are the best bang for your buck!
In Africa, we dont call the trucks. They are "technicals" and when they enter your village. They are the captains now
Canada as free refills too😍
Not in NS I wish though
Adding Canada to the travel list ✍️
Not ALL of canada
@@catdoglover7648 WAIT RL?
The 8 hours and only 2 states gets me 😂 you drive 8 hours anywhere in Canada and you’ve barely made it out of your neighborhood or valley 😂
No
You can drive 11 hours in china and only make it to the end of the traffic 😂
I'm from tunisia and I don't know how we haven't thought of cereal parties yet
I LOVE cereal!
I'll have a party with/over cereal every. Night!
If you've never heard of cereal parties, girl, you just haven't lived life yet.
Hahahaha
Haha 😂 I had the same reaction when I first visited my aunt at Kalimantan/Borneo. 4 hours drive and we're not even at Aunty's house yet? How far is it from the airport? 10 hours drive from south Kalimantan to central Kalimantan. My already flat butt felt flatter than a piece of paper after a literal half-day drive.
In the UK, the only memorable places with free refills are burger king and Nandos (a sit down restaurant). It's like a selling point since it's so unique to have these anywhere here.
It is called Economic Liberty.
We call the bags of cereal ghetto bags😂 My favorite! getting your money's worth!
Reverse culture shock? You were born and raised in America.......
Which country in America?
Nope! I lived in Tunisia for 18 years (my whole childhood) and I’ve never lived in America growing up but I went to other places in between so I said 1 year in Tunisia because that’s what was most accurate and true right then and I knew my followers would understand. I just didn’t explain my whole life story on this video cause I had only 1 minute and didn’t think this would go viral
Of course you know about her life better than she does herself!
Wow... Just wow 😳
Being gone for a year has got to be the lamest reason to post a culture shock video
6 months will do also

As an American, I can confirm that there are huge pickups EVERYWHERE. I only ever see the regular sized ones with only 2 seats once in a blue moon. Also, the drivers of those huge trucks do not give a damn about pedestrians or cyclists, so be careful.
Facts plus they always take up more than one parking space 😂
In the UK there is the trend towards to big cars as well now, the whole car market has been trending towards them for a long time. I think about 40% of the cars on the road are Range Rover sized. We’re luckily still behind the US.
I swear the smaller European cars can't even be bought in America, like I have never seen a volkswagon polo in anything to do with america
In Finland there are quite many places that offer free refills
the bags of cereal are usually the off brand cheaper one and lemme say, 10/10 scrumptious, i’ll gobble up some off brand lucky charms any day
In Australia you can drive 38 hours or more without changing states 😳
44oz is a medium in the south... 60 plus oz is a large
I remember when kfc opened here in Rome. The free refill almost caused a revolution lol

(I don't think there are many other American soft drink companies with a worldwide presence.)
Free refills don't exist in Europe (or elsewhere, I presume) because it never became expected. Local telephone calls have also always been metered, whereas these are free in the USA.
Then again, certain things in Europe are free that are hugely expensive in the USA.
Free refill also exists in other countries but only in fastfoods like Mc Donald’s or KFC in
Me immediately… brooooo I should throw a cereal party
