- Well this is what I've been up to the last few months! My father and I renovated a 1969 Shasta 1400 into a beautiful off - grid capable trailer with all the comforts of home.

This was a beautiful remodel and the owners manual was the perfect professional touch. Top notch work all the way! 👏🌸

The Little Shastas are Nice
But Having a Potty Indoors
Is always a Plus
the control room should be the bathroom
One of only a few well presented videos. The user manual is a perfect idea and sure to make the new owner feel confident. Anyone selling a camper, boat, vehicle, etc. could learn from how to present an item from this presentation. I'm sure the new owner is just as proud as you were of this nice camper. You might resubmit this video under a new title.. " How to sell anything". Good job!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful trailer! Up to date with solar, lights and hot water. It’s so functional and cozy, looks like it has a ton of room and storage space. I love it!!!

What are amazing job that you have done on your trailer I'm restoring a 1980 Winnebago 18 foot I like the fact that you have an on demand hot water heater thing have an inside your trainer I have one in mind to on the inside I just hope it don't get really too hot but if it does I'll get a hand truck some gas and put everything on that hand truck but then again very nice job on your camper I think it's worth more than what you want

No bathroom facilities.
Most people who love these vintage trailers want to see them restored, not remodeled. Also, many people get these to escape modern technology, live life in a simpler time for a weekend, and connect with nature. Seeing the bathroom turned into a “control room “ is kind of sad. Just because someone doesn’t like something doesn’t make them jealous.

What an incredible remodel. I would have made it a priority to get a toilet in the control room. Incredible job. Love the orange accents and the storage space is superior!

I really like it, brings back memories. For those saying a bathroom is needed, for one how do you think tent campers and backpackers do it. Small trainers can go anywhere. I love that he has 3 options for light and power. Even new little ones today dont have the propane light which I would love in our small Cherokee wolf pup. But they are making them solar ready. We got an extra big solar panel and it can actually charge our battery from dead rather than the recommended one to trickle charge it. As far as finishes. This old one is better fixed up that the wolf pup. Our so called wood is a paper picture that peels off.

Beautiful work. Only thing I would add is a composting portapotty in the closet for privacy. But set up shower tent and move potty outside for day use into that so it didn’t stink up the closet. Though I’ve found that if you dispose quickly and use the right kind of system it doesn’t really smell. Thanks for sharing this.

This is exactly like the one my parents had when I was a kid. Ours had a toilet room though. They bought it used. I'd love to find an old one and renovate it like this. 😊 This guy did a great job!

What paint did you use. We repainted our frig and stove red with a paint for high heat. Have to repaint soon

I purchased this exact model in 1972. We had a portapotti in the closet. Lots of Happy times. Back then!
Love the remodel! I would definitely use appliance paint on the appliances and sink cover, back or white. Also could mount the big batteries up higher and put in a composting toilet. Or even make a wooden seat that would fit over a five gallon bucket. That would make it complete.
I'd leave the orange, keeping with the vintage look of it!!
