Zip is the most-widely used format, and can easily be opened on Windows, Android, iOS, OSX, Linux and many others
Guys make sure there is no trace of 7zip on your computer, do this by clicking the start button on your pc plus R (Start Button + R), put %appdata% in the run window and hit enter. And after that put in %localappdata% the run window,look for 7zip in both of those windows and delete them. If your OS tells you that the file cannot be deleted because it's still in use, open up the Task Manager and terminate all instances of 7zip there and in the start up tab. Restart your system and go back to instal 7zip here 7-zip.org/ .

Every time I try to open a 7z with the software it just brings my to the setup box and says it has to install 7zip again, I've done it like 3 times now but the only change I've gotten is that now my 7z files have a different picture? How do I actually extract the file folder from the 7z?
when i put the software i downloaded from the 7zip app to the folder i want it in i click it agree with everything but when i finally get to the download page it tells me "Error for opening file for writing". How do i fix it?

I just needed this because I can't get custom mcontent furniture in the sims 4 wihtout extracting the zip but I did use warzip or whatever it is and now it wont let me use it! Thanks alot, this will really help!
thanks for this, i know its supposed to be simple but i tried it myself and i couldnt get those damn 7z's to unzip so i just followed your steps and voila it finally let me unzip that SNES Prince of Persia rom so i could put it on micro-sd to play on my RS97plus (it already had the NES and Sega version but i prefer the SNES version of that game)
