Man yeah, looks like your configuration worked perfect!! Love the front center shank rolling the soil out like that!! Boy it can get busy working those chisel plows especially trying to film! The 1086 draft doesn't seem to work very well either, and quite the chore to handle in my packed soil! I really enjoyed all the cmaera angles, and the voice over explaining what happened! Thank you Mr SBF for bringing us along, and look fwd to seeing the disk run across this very soon!! 😀☕☕

I was only thinking this man is darn good driving a tractor, holding a camera and playing a guitar.!!!!!!! Then that happened. Just watched Farmer P video. a farmer in the UK that had spent some of his day visiting a new John Deere dealership, with lots of big green things with yellow wheels all lined for some one to buy. Not only were they Deere but expensive as well, so he only came away with two pork rolls inside him. Thanks for posting and the time you took getting those camera angles. Hey I got the No. 1. comment slot, magic!!!!
I had a huge belly laugh when I read your first paragraph thank you for setting that up like that allowing time for me to recover so I could enjoy reading the rest of what you had to share with me here. 😊
Greg I got bit by that same bug don't know what it is about watching dirt get worked but I do enjoy seeing it happen. Always good to find you here in the comments thanks for supporting the channel.
That was looking pretty good. This new generation in my area doesn’t plow or chisel as much in my area anymore. Take care and have a blessed day and weekend my friend.
If the rain rolls in here as predicted for tomorrow then I'll actually have mud fields as well. Considering the time of year no big worries I'm just glad I got the ground ripped open so the water can soak in deep. Thank you very much for dropping by the channel good to see you here in the comments.🙂☕
Great video my friend! It's obviously a lot dryer where you are than it is up here. We had over a foot of snow that melted in the last week and a half due to rain and some warmer weather (low 60), so everything is very mushy and I couldn't even think about getting into the field yet. That 4020 sounded great, like always. Keep up the good work.
That huge frontal system moving across the country yesterday, last night the rain got here about 3:00 a.m. I've got about a half inch of rain in the rain gauge temperatures are still warm but we anticipate cooler air coming in this afternoon. Thank you for watching here supporting this channel my friend. 😊🇺🇸
Hi James 5 shanks on this plow is a good match for this tractor and I'm very glad that I got the fifth shank back on it. Magnet Mount camera is the way to go. Thanks for watching here.
Nearly 60 this morning but now in the 20's with over an inch of rain today and ice turning to snow tonight. We are wet, wet, wet. I'm glad the chisel plow is working out.
With this front moving across our nation we're supposed to be in the upper twenties here tomorrow morning. Got a lot of Gusty wind going on out there right now, the line of showers hasn't reached here yet. Tim thank you for your long-term support of this channel and yes it was wonderful how God put all this together for me.😊🙏
The plows did a great job. No humps or ridges. Hopefully you guys don't get all the rain and wind that we had here in West Tennessee Thursday afternoon.

Gary I had to wait for it to dry out. I ran a little test to see if I could get over it with the rwa disc. gave me a chance to test out my new tires and see how I liked the higher lift. I think weaving the three main video clips together might get people to watch longer, that was my attempt. Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed the video. 😊
That magnet mount for that little action camera works really good since I learned I needed to shorten the piece between the two to take out some of the vibration. Thank you very much for your continued support of this channel.
Once I put my camera down then I really started enjoying my tractor. Working a tractor under load and not having your hands available increases the odds of having what happened with me. I'm glad I chose to shut it down then put up the camera and just started over. that situation could have gone wrong in so many ways. Thanks for being here watching videos supporting the channel. 😊
T-shirt kind of an afternoon out there a bit breezy but the sunshine made it bearable. Last Tuesday morning was a whole different story. Great to see you here in the comments my friend. 😊
Our weather has been on an up-down roller coaster ride for the last couple of weeks yep about 70 degrees out there yesterday and tonight expected into the twenties. What a difference a day can make. Thanks for watching. 🙂☕
We've got rain in the forecast for later tonight right now it's very windy I'm having to tolerate that damn vinyl clap. Rain on top of melting snow is definitely going to create above normal runoff. Here's hoping you're on The high ground.

Seems to work real nice. Ive sure got the spring fever but i still have some projects to work on. Ground is froze solid where i live so cant do much but work in the shop and try to work on some tree lines
Josiah, every year I watch the farmers up north get into the harvest about a month to 6 weeks ahead of me I get to itching so bad and wanting to get in my combine so I know what you're talking about. Thank you very much for being here supporting this channel. 😊
Five shanks on this plow is a good match to the horsepower of this tractor however I had the shanks arranged in a bad configuration and created some wavy land with it. took several passes with the light disc to get it flattened out. I moved the shanks back the way they were when I first got the plow and it works great now.

SBF I don't mean to seem rude but what is your purpose / goal with cultivating the soil this deep? From watching and listening the video It seemed to me that the single tine at the front is working somewhat deeper than the rear two. Perhaps that is because you have fitted a new point to it and the others are somewhat effectively shorter and therefore working a little shallower? Perhaps the rear tyres are sinking in or are digging down into the soil as it works as it clearly is a heavy draft task. Whatever I suggest you lengthen the toplink perhaps a full turn or so. I'm possibly mistaken but I thought that there were at least three occasions when I thought I heard the hydraulics respond to you altering the quadrant setting and almost simultaneously the nose of the tractor lift slightly on each occasion. I have had a similar experiences when pulling heavy loads and found out that the issue is one of insufficient nose weight and adding extra front weight helps with this. Is your fuel tank right at the front of the tractor? I have found that the difference between a full tank and a near empty one can make a significant difference especially if pulling up a slope!
Dan there is no rudeness in your question it is simply a question. The answer, yes I am breaking the hardpan at the depth I'm running which puts this in the order of heavy tillage and I was foolish to even attempt having the camera in my hand. You have a keen astute eye because yes the front end of the tractor was coming up ever so slightly while I was manually working the depth of the tool. I did not fuel the tractor before going out for this test run and after looking later I found the level in the tank to be only at about a quarter filled, so there was very little weight up there. All five plow points were new and even but I did have the tool itself pitched low in the front. It took a full turn and a half on the top link to level it out and it did pull much better afterwards. Finding that Harmony between the tool and the tractor completed the testing I wanted to do so I stopped and put it away. It's always a pleasure to find you here in the comments Dan. thank you for taking the time to share your experience and knowledge here with me. 🙂☕
Fortunately I was only testing and there's less than a quarter of an acre of land that I've been over with this. I guess the final testing will be to take the disc out and see how it turns out.

I hear 5hp/shank. Then 10. Now 15.
I think it has a lot to do with the depth you're running at.
