We use those sight word flash cards too and love them! I tried all about reading with my 2 younger boys and they could not for the life of them remember the words on the cards, but as soon as i brought in right brained picture cards they only needed to see and hear the sentence twice before the remembered. My oldest was the easiest time learning to read, but my daughter has been hard. She has dyslexia and I suspect my 2 younger boys do as well. So I totally understand what you mean when you have a child without it and how much more enjoyable it is for everyone.
With my kindergartener I used SL T and Pre K books. We read 5 days a week so we could fit them all in. We started with CLE K1 and K2. They were wonderful. Math is included in K2. Both provided a great foundation to move into CLE Learning to Read, LA and Math 1.

Yes, you can really notice the difference.

Thats wonderful!
I just started Sonlight T for my 5 year old and am debating on Sonlight LA or TGAB. What made you choose TGAB over sonlights LA?
I just like all the color and actives they have. They keep in interesting.
